USS Yeager

The USS Yeager (NCC-61947) was a 24th century Federation Saber class starship operated by Starfleet.
In 2373, the Yeager fought against the Borg in the Battle of Sector 001. (Star Trek: First Contact) Chief Petty Officer Nolak Kalmil was serving as a Starfleet Academy instructor at the time, but he volunteered for duty aboard the Yeager when he heard about the Borg. During the battle the Yeager’s senior officers were incapacitated, forcing Chief Petty Officer Kalmil to take temporary command of the starship.
In 2375, Ensign Emelia 'Blue' Marguerite Tiran transferred to the Yeager after serving a year aboard the USS Intrepid. "Blue" Tiran hit it off with the ship's chief engineer, Cole who flirted with her in an attempt to enter a romantic relationship. However, Blue was still very closed off and didn't feel the chemistry extended that far. On a trip to Earth he pushed her too far and she left effectively ending her side of the non-relationship. Cole continued to pursue her but she just felt that she needed some space. In 2377 she helped save a space station in danger by ejecting a fractured Warp Core and putting herself at risk to save the lives of many, earning her a Gold Star and a promotion to lieutenant (junior grade) for her efforts. Blue put in for a transfer to a larger ship that would, she hoped, allow her skills to really be utilized and in 2378 she received a transfer to the USS Gettysburg.
In 2381 the Yeager was part of Task Force Archeron, and was disabled by Lieutenant Commander Carrigan Trent's "Soup Sandwich" virus, but a week later had recovered sufficiently to participate in the Battle of Starbase 84.
