USS Merrimac

The USS Merrimac (NCC-61827) was a 24th century Federation Nebula-class starship operated by Starfleet.
During the 2360's and 2370's the Merrimac was assigned to the Federation’s Beta Quadrant, and did not directly participate in the Cardassian Conflict or the Dominion War.
At numerous times during late the 2360’s the Merrimac participated in numerous special assignments for the Vulcan government and the Vulcan Science Academy. In January of 2368, it participated in the fleet assembled to blockade the Klingon/Romulan border during the Klingon Civil War.
Lieutenant (junor grade) Sinead O'Riley served aboard the Merrimac in 2375 in order to get away from the frontlines in the final year of the Dominion War before transferring to the USS Prometheus in January of 2376.
In December of 2375, Petty Officer Eliska Bremmer was promoted and assigned to the Merrimac and filled the billet as Assistant Mistress-at-Arms. After the events of the Dominion War, she appreciated the rest, but found the assignment boring and volunteered to be transferred to the USS Resolve for a long-duration, deep-space mission in 2377.
