The USS Rutledge (NCC-57295) was a Federation frigate operated by Starfleet in the late 24th century.
In the 2340s, the Rutledge was involved in the Federation-Cardassian War while under the command of Captain Benjamin Maxwell. (TNG: "The Wounded")
In 2348, the Rutledge discovered an escape pod containing a Starfleet medical officer and three week old baby boy. The duo were dropped off at Starbase 173.
