Deep Space 3 was a Federation starbase space station that was in service with Starfleet in the 24th century.
In 2354, Amelya Duv was born aboard DS3. Her mother died in childbirth and the girl was raised by he medical officer onboard the station.
In 2369, at the age of fifteen, Amelya Duv left DS3 to enroll in Starfleet Academy.
In 2370, the commanding officer of this station was Vice Admiral Marcus Holt.
In that year, the station hosted the annual palio di Siena, wherein the Ferengi were accused of trying to bribe the Breen pilot into throwing the race.
In that same year, the USS Hera departed Deep Space 3 on a routine courier mission. For five days, the station was in contact with the starship.
