USS Intrepid

The USS Intrepid (NCC-74600) was a 24th century Federation Intrepid-class starship operated by Starfleet. It served as the prototype of the class and was the third ship to bear the name.
In 2370, Commander Donald Kaplan, the ship's chief engineer, regularly engaged in power conversion efficiency contests with Geordi La Forge, chief engineer of the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG: "Force of Nature")
In 2374, 21 year old Emelia 'Blue' Marguerite Tiran graduated from Starfleet Academy and served aboard the Intrepid with the rank of ensign before transferring to the USS Yeager in 2375. During that time, she served in the operations department although she really didn't feel that she belonged there.
In 2379, the Intrepid was in Star Fleet Battle Group Omega, deployed in sector 1045 to counter the Reman threat. ( [ Star Trek Nemesis)
