The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-C) was a Federation Ambassador class starship operated by Starfleet in the early 24th century.

Petty Officer Ekon Okotie-Eboh served aboard the Enterprise-C as an unregistered nurse from January of 2233 until 2343. During his seventeen year service aboard ‘‘Enterprise’’-C, Petty Officer Okotie-Eboh suffered numerous setbacks to his career due to the jealously of a Petty Officer Watson who had been passed over for promotion numerous times. Altercations with Petty Officer Watson in 2337 and 2339 on two separate occasions led to Petty Officer Okotie-Eboh’s demotion and an official reprimand on his permanent record each time. Incredibly, the two enlisted men continued to serve on the same ship for almost nine years until 2342 when Petty Officer Watson was identified as having provoked each of the incidents and sent back to Earth for remedial training and reposting. In 2343, Petty Officer Okotie-Eboh left the Enterprise and Starfleet to reenter civilian life.

During the early 2340’s the commanding officer of the the Enterprise-C was Captain Rachel Garrett.

In 2344, the Enterprise-C was destroyed defending the Klingon outpost at Narendra III, from four Romulan Warbirds. A number of the ship's crewmembers were captured by the Romulans and held prisoner indefinitely. In the aftermath of the battle, the Klingons were deeply impressed by the act of self-sacrifice by a Starfleet crew to protect a Klingon outpost, and the Enterprise-C‘s ultimate legacy was reinforcing the relations between the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets, leading to a close alliance of peace.

In December of 2367, a Romulan operative insisted that the USS Enterprise-C travelled through a temporal rift created by the battle's concentrated weapons fire similar to the one that transported the USS Discovery (NX-04) from the 22nd century to the 24th but since the Romulans have not turned over sensor footage from the incident the claim cannot be substantiated.
