The USS Elkins was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet. In 2375, the Elkins was part of the Second Fleet. That year the Elkins participated several engagements with the Dominion , including the Liberation of Betazed when some of its combat personnel were sent down to the planet’s surface.
In 2375, Kythalie Benmual of Betazed spent the final year of the Dominion War as an enlisted security specialist assigned to the Elkins. She originally had the rank of crewman but after participating in the ground campaign on Betazed she was promoted to petty officer third class. In 2376, Kythalie was transferred to the USS Resolve.
(So far the class of the USS Elkins has not been revealed. It has not been revealed if the Elkins is still in service as of 2381.)
