The USS Hadfield was a 24th century Federation Miranda-class starship operated by Starfleet.
At the beginning of 2367, the Hadfield was recalled to Earth after the Battle of Wolf 359 in a desperate last-ditch attempt to protect Earth from the Borg that due to the valiant actions of the crew of the Enterprise D was fortunately not needed.
Ensign Sjaandin Fedd was serving aboard the Hadfield at the time. When he learned his Imzadi had perished his emotional distress caused his telepathic barriers to break down, leading to a medical leave that would end with Ensign Fedd being assigned to the USS Persephone.
