In 2367, a canny [[Orion]] pirate named [[Bardeck Gorales]] tracked down the base and began using it as a haven. Since then he allowed many of his brothers in the life to take up residence there as well, creating a veritable pirate's paradise.

History and specifics

After the Klingon Civil War, the Orion pirate Bardeck Gorales seized it and transformed it into a powerful pirate haven, and named it Gorkon's Retreat.
