USS Hawkins

The USS Hawkins was a 24th century Federation Intrepid-class starship operated by Starfleet.
After the Dominion War, the Hawkins was tasked with exploring and mapping the Gamma Quadrant and continued to do so until 2378. During this assignment the commanding officer of the Hawkins was Captain Georgia Malcolm, who commanded the Hawkins until being promoted to commodore in 2378.
In 2376 the Hawkins stopped at Deep Space 9 for minor repairs. While visiting the station, Captain Malcolm met with DS9’s commanding officer and agreed to allow Lieutenant (junior grade) Tyreke Okafor to transfer to the Hawkins to serve in her science department. In 2378 Okafor was promoted to full lieutenant and assigned to the USS Theurgy.
