The USS Atlantis (NCC-32710) was an Excelsior class Federation starship operated by Starfleet in the 24th century. (Source: Memory Alpha)
In 2364, Captain Jana Park was the commanding officer of the Atlantis.
During the 2360's the Atlantis spent much of its time in the Beta Quadrant patrolling the Federation-Romulan border.
In 2364, the Atlantis answered a distress call from a border outpost along the Romulan Neutral Zone. The outpost had reported a contingent of seven Romulan battle cruisers within sensor range.
In that year, the captain put in a request prior to stardate 41603 for a refit of the transporter system. She was informed, in three orders, by Admiral Gregory Quinn of Starfleet Operational Support Services that Starfleet Command wouldn't make a decision on the request until the ship returned to Earth Spacedock . Later that year, these orders were read by Lieutenant Commander Data during an investigation into an alleged conspiracy in the highest levels of Starfleet Command. (TNG: "Conspiracy", okudagram)
In 2365, Dick Brownfield was the commander of the Atlantis. In that year, the ship was assigned a diplomatic mission to Alderaan. The starship was named on a Starship Deploy Status chart that was on display at the courtroom of Starbase 173. (TNG: "The Measure Of A Man", okudagram)
In 2369, the Atlantis was assigned to the Omicron sector of the Beta Quadrant, patrolling the sector and keeping an eye out for any activity along the Romulan Neutral Zone or search for pirate activity within the Paulson Nebula. Captain Thasehr Ch'kyvath was the starship’s commanding officer. That year Ensign Zaryn Kolari graduated from Starfleet Academy and was assigned to the Atlantis as a security officer.
In 2370, the Atlantis was reassigned to Deep Space 9 as one of the ships tasked with continuing the exploration of the Gamma Quadrant on the other side of the Bajoran wormhole and to establish relations with its various inhabitants. That year, Ensign Kolari distinguished himself on an away mission with several of the senior staff in order to establish a dialogue with the local populous. Unbeknown to the away team, the people of Telvalis IV were unwilling subjects of the Dominion. Captain Ch'kyvath and his senior officers and Ensign Kolari were ambushed by Jem'Hadar and captured. Ensign Kolari was separated from the others when he lost his footing, fell off a cliff, fell unconscious, and was left for dead. When he came to he managed to free the away team, allowing Ch'kyvath to contact the Atlantis and chase the Jem'Hadar off the planet.
Near the end of 2370, several members of the crew, unhappy with the Federation’s decision to abandon countless colonies in the Demilitarized Zone joined the Maquis and attempted to seize control of the ship. Ensign Kolari was wounded while saving his captain’s life from the mutineers. Ensign Kolari was taken to Deep Space 9 for medical treatment and awarded the Pike Medal of Valor for risking his own life to save his captain’s. Due to the severity of his injury the Atlantis could not wait for him to recover, he was removed from the ship’s roster. Deep Space 9’s commanding officer Captain Benjamin Sisko, impressed with both his bravery and his anti-Marquis leanings, requested he officially be transferred to Deep Space 9 upon his recovery.
(In the “Conspiracy” graphics, the registry was given as NCC-72007 and in “The Measure Of A Man” chart, the registry was given as NCC-32710. Since the events of “Conspiracy” did not happen in the Star Trek” Theurgy timeline, I have gone with the Atlantis’s “The Measure Of A Man” registry number.)
