The USS Capstone was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet. In the early 2370's it was assigned to testing the prototype fighters created by the Valkyrie Project.
In 2372 Axius vel Onea was assigned to the Capstone as an enlisted test pilot in Starfleet's new Tactical CONN department, testing Mark I Valkyries and later the Mark II. He worked his way up the ranks to master chief petty officer before transferring to the USS Theurgy in 2379.
(It is not been revealed what class of starship the USS Capstone was, but it had to be a 24th century vessel capable of launching fighters such as an Akira, Ambassador, or Nebula class.)
