The USS Angelo was a 24th century Nova class Federation starship operated by Starfleet.

The Angelo was the first posting of Declan Vasser after his graduation from Starfleet Academy in 2365. Declan Vasser would serve aboard the Angelo for seven years as an assistant science officer before being reassigned to the USS Harbinger in 2372.

In 2371, the Angelo was caught in a firefight with a Ferengi battleship. The Fernegi had been attempting to steal the Federation technology aboard, the resulting battle crippling the ship and killing several high ranking officers. Declan's superhuman reflexes had saved him from an overloading console, but when the chief science officer saw this, Vasser was forced to kill him, making it appear as though the overload had done it. From there, he reprogrammed one of the photon torpedoes on board and beaming it in out-of-phase into the Ferengi ship's power matrix, detonating it and leaving the entire ship without power. It would become a move later referred to as the Vasser Maneuver by Starfleet, and would earn the man a promotion to Lieutenant Commander.
