2370s
The Atlas was one of the Federation starships combating the Borg Collective when Locutus attempted to assimilate the Alpha Quadrant and gain control over an Omega particle in the year 2376. (Star Trek: Armada)
Some six months later, in 2377, the Atlas saw action during a renewed Borg invasion. (Star Trek: Armada II)
On stardate 54727.7, the Atlas accompanied a small fleet led by the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E after the USS Coltrane detected the staging grounds of the Borg invasion in System J-361 in the Delta Quadrant. Once the Borg nexus and other installations had been found in the gravity well of a class J gas giant, Starfleet dispatched reinforces to attack and destroy the staging grounds. In the year 2381, the Atlas was under the command of Captain Morgan Bateson and operated as the flagship of the 5th Fleet.
