USS Assurance

The USS Assurance (NCC-26316) was a 24th century Federation Ambassador-class starship operated by Starfleet.
During the 2330's Lieutenant Griffin Praise, a human engineering officer, met his wife, a medical doctor from Betazed with the first name of Apreeza. The couple spent almost two decades aboard the Assurance and had three daughters, Elysium, Olexina, and Zeyphyr, who were born in 2336, 2348, and 2351. During this time, Apreeza Praise resigned her commission to become a civilian contractor in order to avoid being transferred.
In 2357, the USS Assurance discovered the Inari System and made First Contact with the Vulpinians against orders when they discovered that the Vulpinian's natural development had been interfered with by the Cardassians.
(So far it has not been revealed if the USS Assurance was still in service as of 2381, but since Starfleet vessels are expected to have a service life of eight to ten decades there is no reason why it couldn't be.)
