The USS Triton was a Federation starship serving in Starfleet in the 24th century.
In 2380, Eve Jenkins was sent to the Triton by her admiral rank grandfather. When she inadvertently alerted him that she had detected a difference in him the Triton was ordered back to Earth. Lieutenant Jenkins went AWOL before the ship reached the Sol system.
(So far the class of the Triton has not been revealed.)
