Starfleet Academy

Starfleet Academy (also referred to as the Space Academy) was a department within Starfleet. The main purpose of this department was for the education and training of individuals for service in Starfleet. Officers normally took a four year curriculum and several enlisted specialist schools were also available. Source: Memory Alpha
