These are the positions that are vacant and that we feel new applicants should create a characters for. This list will be updated as required.
USS Resolve
Executive Officer
Aboard a starship the Executive Officer was the second-in-command, just below the Captain. In Starfleet the position was usually held by an officer with the rank of commander or lieutenant commander. The position was also referred to as First Officer (or XO). On a Federation starship, the first officer had the following functions:
- Serve as the principal adviser to the captain
- Implementing the captain's orders
- Preparing and issuing duty rosters
- Commanding the vessel in the event of the captain's absence, incapacitation or death
- Working with the chief medical officer or counselor on crew evaluations
- Attending important meetings and briefings with the captain
In the story, the USS Resolve's Executive Officer has been aboard Starbase 84 to be debriefed about the ship's three-year voyage in the unknown. S/he has been oblivious to the development in Episode 04 so far. Like the rest of the crew on the Resolve, the XO has been lost beyond Romulan space for three years before the story begins in Episode 04.
Fighter Pilot
One of the few remaining pilots on the USS Resolve, flying the Gryphon fighters. The squadron name is the Grey Wolves, and like the rest of the crew on the Resolve, they have been lost beyond Romulan space for three years before the story begins in Episode 04.
