[[File:Federation-Deterrence-small.png|right|300px]]These are the positions that are available at this juncture in the story. Unless the [[Joining the Crew]] page says otherwise, newly applying Applicants might only inherit characters on the [[:Category:Available Player Characters|Available Characters]] Page, but after three months of active writing, they may apply with a new character, picking from these positions below. For further current information about applying for new characters, please consult the [[Joining the Crew]] page.
These are the positions that are vacant and that we feel new applicants should create a characters for. This list will be updated as required.

== [[USS Orcus]]==
Below is the current list of Wanted Positions as of the date at the bottom of this page. We try to keep this page updated at all times, but sometimes a joining process for new member has yet to be completed, and a position listed might already be taken. It is recommended to ask the GM upon registering on the forum if a position is still available. Crossed out names are temporarily unavailable.

==== Fighter Pilot ====
==<nowiki>Tactical CONN Officers</nowiki>==
Right now, we have need of five (5) [[Tactical CONN]] fighter pilots to serve in the [[Lone Wolves Squadron]]. The character would need have experience flying a [[AC-307 Mk II Valkyrie]], but upon arrival to the ''Theurgy'', s/he would have to undergo simulations and flight training to fly either a [[AC-409 Mk III Valkyrie]] or a [[AC-477 Mk I Valravn]] and take the place as a wolf in the squad. If there would come more vacancies in the squadron, such positions will be listed here.

You could write one of the fighter pilots on the ''[[USS Orcus]]'', flying one of the prototype [[AC-477 Mk I Valravn|Valravn fighters]]. The squadron name is the White Wolves, and like the rest of the fighter pilots on the ''[[USS Orcus|Orcus]]'', your character was a part of the classified Valravn Project on Luna Base (see the  [[AC-477 Mk I Valravn|Valravn]] page for more information).
The available roles are:
* Element Leader, Valravn (1) ''(Lt. JG)''
* Fighter Pilot, Valkyrie (2) ''(Ensign)''
* Fighter Pilot, Valravn (1) ''(Ensign)''

When the ''[[USS Theurgy]]'' supposedly defected to the Romulans in November of 2380, orders came to [[Luna Base]] that the twenty prototype [[AC-477 Mk I Valravn|Valravn fighter]]s needed to be put into field duty, since the ''[[USS Theurgy|Theurgy]]'''s [[AC-409 Mk III Valkyrie|Mk III Valkyries]] were better than what the rest of [[Task Force Archeron]] had in terms of superiority fighters. So, the [[Tactical_CONN#The_White_Wolves_Squadron_-_USS_Orcus|White Wolves Squadron]] ceased to be test pilots and were instead commissioned to the ''[[USS Orcus]]'', which was supposed to join [[Task Force Archeron]] and hunt down the ''[[USS Theurgy|Theurgy]]''.
==<nowiki>CONN Officers</nowiki>==
Flight Control [[Operations]], or [[CONN]] for short, was the ship's helm department, which was in charge of handling all flight [[operations]] on and off the ship. This meant the ''Theurgy'' and all of its support vehicles or any vehicles flying within its vicinity. Instead of the [[Tactical CONN]] department flying fighters, the [[CONN]] officers operated the shuttles. To know more about the <nowiki>CONN</nowiki> Department and what they do, [[CONN|click here]]!

In late February of 2381, the ''[[USS Orcus]]'' found the task force adrift, orbiting [[Theta Eridani IV]] without means of communication or propulsion. They had been affected by a computer virus, and it was only with the help of the ''[[USS Orcus]]'' "clean" software that the entire task force could exit orbit and take up the hunt again. [[Task Force Archeron]] immediately set a course towards [[Starbase 84]] - meaning to intercept the ''[[USS Theurgy|Theurgy]]'' if [[Captain Jien Ives|Captain Ives]] had decided to put the advanced ''Theurgy''-class starship of in his [[Romulan]] masters' hands.
The available roles are:
* Chief [[CONN]] Officer ''(Lt. JG/Ensign)''

Your character would enter the story as of the Battle of [[Starbase 84]], where s/he needs to defect to the ''Theurgy'' for some reason. This defection should be discussed and settled with the GM.

==== Executive Officer  ====
The available roles are:
Aboard a starship the Executive Officer was the second-in-command, just below the Captain. In [[Starfleet]] the position was usually held by an officer with the rank of commander or lieutenant commander. The position was also referred to as First Officer (or XO). On a [[Federation]] starship, the first officer had the following functions:
* <nowiki>Operations</nowiki> Officer ''(Lt. JG/Ensign)''
* Serve as the principal adviser to the captain
* Software Engineer ''(Lt. JG/Ensign)''
* Implementing the captain's orders
* Preparing and issuing duty rosters
* Commanding the vessel in the event of the captain's absence, incapacitation or death
* Working with the chief medical officer or counselor on crew evaluations
* Attending important meetings and briefings with the captain
In the story, the [[USS Resolve]]'s Executive Officer has been aboard [[Starbase 84]] to be debriefed about the ship's three-year voyage in the unknown. S/he has been oblivious to the development in Episode 04 so far. Like the rest of the crew on the Resolve, the XO has been lost beyond Romulan space for three years before the story begins in Episode 04.
