A scientific vessel, it saw extensive support duty during the [[Dominion War]], and also acted as a ferry of Emergency [[Medical]] Personnel to AR-558, just prior to the prolonged ground conflict waged there in 2375.

[[Kate Foster]] served aboard the ''Aphrodite'' during a portion of 2375, before she was transferred to the ground forces AR-558.
