Six of the Black Wolves used to belong to the White Wolves Squadron, having fought in the [[Battle of Starbase 84]]. The rest were commissioned to the Akira-class starship ''[[USS Dauntless]]'' before then, and were a part of [[Task Force Archeron]] during the hunt for the ''[[USS Theurgy]]'' across the Alpha Quadrant.
