Running her hands over her new exosuit's front, Evelyn Rawley chuckled. "It's not as low-profile as the Mark 1, but damn, me likey!"

She was speaking to the Lone Wolves around her in the locker room, them all having been issued the new suits yesterday but few had actually got to wear them before right then. Yet with the Yellow Alert sounded, they were all somewhere around the fighter bay, ready to jump into their cockpits at any time. Well, besides the Lone Wolves out on patrol or assignment, rushing back to the den as they were now that Thea was about to leave Aldea.

"So, what do you all think about the mission Ravon mentioned, escorting the Allegiant as it's deployed from that invisible Savi ship up there? Bollocks, I sure as hell want to go on that," she said, and to forestall any comments about actually being on Erudite with all the tall bobble-heads scientists, she spread her hands, one holding her new helmet. "What? What's not to like? Where's your bloody sense of adventure? Why wouldn't you want to hitch a ride on dreadnought and actually be in Federation Space again, just going 'pooof!' and 'Ta-daa! Here we are! Where's them bombs?'. Our fighters still have the Aldean sensor scramblers, so it's not like anyone will know it's actually us - 'the dreadful renegade Theurgy crew!' - and imagine how we can serve as diversion so that the Allegiant can swoop in and do the hands-on work!"

Shrugging, she turned on her heel and headed for the door to the fighter bay with a grin. "Well bite me, wolves, I don't have any problem playing bait, since we'll be able to return to the Savi ship and shake them all off. Should be a bloody cake-walk if you ask me. I'm famished. Catch you in the lounge. Not likely we're gonna fly if the Theurgy is leaving anyway."

That's the irritating thing with Yellow Alert. More often than not, it was just a false alarm for Tactical CONN, Rawley thought as she walked the corridor towards the lounge, and as she looked through the transparent blast walls, she saw Papa Bear's successor - Ensign Herrold - talking with some new ordnance man Rawley hadn't seen before. Little did she think of it as she caught sight of more of her pack that were also heading to the lounge. "Hey, wait for me! I call dibs on a snooker table!"

[ Ensign Liam Herrold | Fighter Assault Bay | Deck 16 | Vector 02 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @BZ @jreeves1701 @TWilkins
[Show/Hide]Raising his eyebrows as he looked at the personnel file on the PADD, holding a brand new entry, Liam Herrold smiled.

"So you were called 'Sparkles'?" he asked, having read that Crewman Otheusz was in a pirate gang before he ended up on the Theurgy. "Now that won't do. Sounds a bit derogatory if you ask me. Unless you prefer otherwise, I'll stick to Otheusz."

Liam pocketed the PADD at the side of his thigh and looked out over the fighter deck from where they were standing, right outside the port blast wall. Behind him, several of the Lone Wolves were heading to the lounge, dressed in their new exosuits, since while Yellow Alert had been sounded, they had also been informed that unless the Aldeans or Klingons got any sudden ideas about the Theurgy leaving, they were not likely being deployed. As for Fighter Bay Ops and Liam's deck teams, they were preparing armament profiles for each individual warp fighter and making sure they were flight-ready, wrapping up all current maintenance and clearing them for duty. It had been hard work, and Liam had been crawling down into engine pits along with the rest of his people, always having preferred to lead by example whenever he could. He was parched and sweaty, the top half of his jumpsuit hanging from his hips as he squinted against the light from the open bay doors.

"We're expecting a couple of fighters to dock any moment now, so I need you to keep clear. Report to Chief Sithick on the other side of the bay, but never walk across it during an alert status. Follow the blast walls, cross at the back of the bay, and you should find a Gorn over there. That's Sithick." Whether the Ornaran had any thoughts about him reporting directly to a Gorn, Liam didn't know, and his thoughts were elsewhere. He gave the new face on the fighter deck a smile in parting. "Welcome to the team, Otheusz. We can talk more later, but now is not the time."

Liam walked off, heading for the next fighter in line, and caught sight of Ji. As always, complicated feelings about what they'd endured a couple of weeks ago washed through his mind. Things had certainly changed since then, but as of yet, Liam wasn't sure what it would mean for the two of them. It was like this invisible wall whenever they spoke, and they no longer shared quarters. Of course, Liam had said he'd forgiven her already... but this wasn't so simple. Regardless what he might say, it was just as much a matter for Ji to overcome, what had happened.

Why he paused... and walked over to her, was because of the entry he'd seen on his PADD a couple of minutes earlier.

"Hi," he said, the quick smile he gave her not quite reaching his eyes. Again, that wall, right between them. He would have to talk through it nonetheless. "I saw you volunteered for the Allegiant mission on the Erudite... Of course you can go, that's not an issue, but..."

Frowning, he stepped a bit closer and lowered his voice, not keen on letting others overhear. This was a private question after all. "Are you sure? You'll be among the Savi up there. You and I were both here when they came aboard, and took the Reaver out of the Maintenance Bay. The rumours about what they did to the abducted hybrids... Do you think they've changed that much?"

OOC: New group thread made available for all Lone Wolves and fighter bay people! Optional, of course, but it's here for you all if you want to introduce your characters in Season 2! :)

[CPO Eun Sae Ji | Awkward Working Conditions | Trying Not to Look That Way | I Don't Know What to Say]
@Auctor Lucan

Ji leaned against one of the massive support pillars looking down at the PADD in her hand.  Next to her stood her right hand, and bulky mechanic, Jack.  He was the one that she counted on more often than not, and he was the one that was giving her a report.  She supposed that it was wrong to be trying to avoid Liam, but she didn't know what to say.  There was this massive wall between them, and every time she tried to talk to him, every time he tried to talk to her, it was just awkward.  She didn't know how they were going to get through or past all of this.  Part of her wanted to say it was over all together, and part of her wanted to hug him and tell him she was sorry.  All she really wanted was to figure out what it was that she should do but everything she thought about was just wrong.

“Everything is ready to go, all diagnostics are green for moving to the Erudite.”

Ji looked over the reports on the screen in front of her and gave a quick nod.  “That's good, we worked hard over our leave to get everything ready so I was really hoping everything would show green.  I don't need any more fucking problems.” she sighed.

“Still haven't eh...”  Jack saw the look on her face and merely stopped talking and gave a quick nod.

“So okay, make sure the pilots get their shit together, get ready, we'll be needing to get everyone over to the ship soon.  We don't want to delay the Savi if possible and there is no way that I'm going to make us late because of everyone else.”

“Got it.” he collected his PADD from her and headed a couple steps from her before turning around.  “Are you sure you don't want me to-” he pointed to the bay doors as if to elude to the Erudite.

“No, I have selected my crew, and I'm leaving you behind because you're my right hand man.  You're the one I want to keep everyone else in line.”

He nodded and headed away.  Ji pushed off the support strut and headed across the deck with a brush of a hand through her hair.  She needed to talk to Thomas and see if he was ready and what plans he had to keep an eye out for his people.  Not only that, but to inform him that she was coming with though he might already know that at this point, since he was a Lieutenant Commander and everything.  As she strode across the deck movement in yellow caught her eye and the brown orbs shifted over to see Liam coming her way.

Her throat dried out, her heart plummeted to the floor of her stomach, and her entire being began to buzz.  He said hi and gave her a quick fake smile.  “Hey.” she said shyly and looked at the ground a moment in shame before looking back up at him.  She couldn't look at him without remembering.  Without remembering what had been done to her, without remembering that he had watched, without remembering how she wanted it, and without remembering everything about that horrendous day and then some.

Liam said he noticed that she had volunteered to go onto the Eruduite for the Allegiant mission and she gave a quick nod.  He said she should go and it wasn't an issue but...

Liam stepped closer and Ji looked up at him her heart racing in her chest.  He leaned closer and lowered his voice probably so others wouldn't hear, but she wasn't sure what he was going to say so her cheeks were already flaming.  He told her that she needed to be sure since she would be among the Savi up there and they both had heard the rumors of what had happened.  He asked her if she thought they had changed that much.  Ji sighed and shrugged her shoulders.

“I don't know, but someone that knows these fighters has to be there.  You can't go, you run this deck.  Sithick can do my job and his, and is better prepped for fighting here.  I volunteered because someone needs to keep our mechanics going over there, and also, to represent our department.  Besides, the Savi have been on this ship down in Engineering for a couple weeks now and nothing has happened.  If the Chief Engineer and others that suffered at the hands of them can become their allies, then maybe it's time that we try too.”

She swallowed.

“Maybe.. people make mistakes.” she said her voice filled with emotions and unspent tears.  “Maybe they didn't mean to make the mistakes, or they felt they didn't have a choice, or they got so carried away that things happened and they regret each and every breath in those moments.  People can change, and people can learn from those mistakes.  Don't.. don't you think?”

She was no longer talking about the Savi.

[Show/Hide]Of course she was right, in how if the Savi had some ulterior motive for helping them with a new engine, what could that possibly be? They were so superior in fire-power to the Theurgy that it was plain silly, something which had become more than evident when they faced the Versant the first time in the Azure Nebula. The only reason the Theurgy wasn't destroyed was that the Captain had ordered the ship to split up in three and set off in different directions in a tactical retreat. Spread for the wind, with the chance greater that either of the three Vectors might survive any pursuit. Luckily, this had been made possible by the Sabine arriving in the nick of time with the dilithum crystals that Thea's three warp cores needed, and they had sacrificed all their Tovarek-class drones in some sort of warp-kamikaze attack on the white Savi dreadnought.

So what could possibly the Savi have as an ulterior motive? Surely they did need help, like the reports said, with spying on their own Infested leaders? But if that was the case, why not simply take Doctor Nicander off their hands without giving them this grand slipstream engine they got now? The Savi sure enough could do it if they wanted to, right? They had taken Thea, even her brain, right out their main computer core, along with a Reaver and that bomb that set the whole Azure Nebula ablaze, so snatching Nicander from his holding cell had to be easy-peasy, right?

Liam told himself that Ji would be all right, after all, his worries getting the better of him. His deep thoughts also got the better of him, because he had tuned out a bit from what Ji was saying. He realised, belatedly, that she had fallen silent, waiting for some kind of reply from him.

"Yeah, sure," he said and cleared his throat, scratching the back of his neck.

He had no idea if the Savi truly regretted their actions that much, but if Ji was willing to forgive them, he would certainly not be advocating further suspicions towards their true intentions. It would only serve to make her more worried than she had to be if she was supposed to spend time aboard this second hellship that just sat there above the the Theurgy, all cloaked and immense.

"Do what you believe is right," he told her, trying to smile again even though he felt she didn't want him to any more. The prevalent feeling was that something was not right between them, but he had no way to put into words what it might be. Perhaps she just needed more time. "You always know what's best for you. In any case, we'll speak later..."

Walking away from her, his thoughts were introspective as much as they were on the next fighter he had to run a diagnostic on, for with him being Chief of the Deck, it was also his responsibility that the fighters were primed for whatever might come next. Perhaps he ought to run some kind of self-diagnostic as well, as his counsellor had suggested when he last had a session. It had been suggested that he was bottling things up after the ordeal beyond the anyonic phase variance... but he wasn't sure how he was supposed to react. It was no more right to blame Ji for what happened with the Doctor than it was for him to cast blame on the scientist that had created that virus, right?

Right?

For a moment, his blue eyes flashed cold, before he took a deep breath and focused on the present rather than the past. It was always better to live in the moment, as he kept hearing...

Donna couldn’t disagree with Rawley’s assessment of the new exosuits that they had been provided; she liked them too. She couldn’t even put a finger on exactly why she liked them more, she just did. And she had a feeling that she was going to need the improvements from the suit. They had had a relatively peaceful stay at Aldea by all accounts, baring a few small incidents. But now the entire ship had been reintegrated and called to Yellow Alert and her gut was telling her that things were going to get much worse before they got better. Story of her life.

“She makes a bunch of good points,” Donna thought to herself regarding what Rawley had said about the mission with the Allegiant. “If she has or will volunteer for it, then I will at least be in good company.” Donna ha already decided that she would be volunteering for the mission. Not only was she a pilot, she was a trained undercover operative which would be useful for operating within the Federation without being noticed. Although she wasn’t so sure that it would be as easy to move around as Evelyn was making it out to be. They were all wanted fugitives and all it would take was one step in front of the wrong scanner and their cover would be blown.

Finishing up her preparations, Donna grabbed her helmet and trailed after the feisty pilot that had had so much to do with her training after the Academy, finding her had one of the snooker tables.

“Want some company while we wait?” Donna asked casually, setting her helmet on the edge of the table.

[ Lt. JG Tessa May Lance, callsign "GoldenEye" | Locker Room | Fighter Assault Bay | Deck 16 | Vector 02 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: Any Lone Wolves
@Auctor Lucan, @Nolan

[Show/Hide]

It had felt like some time since Tessa had been on deck in the vicinity of the other Lone Wolves. For the past few weeks, Tessa had been undergoing some new experimental treatments which the councilors had hoped would cure Tessa of her issues with grief and battlefield trauma. Fortunately for her, it had, however, her mental state felt a bit off she noticed.

Her last encounter with the crew involved a memorial service for fallen comrades. It had shaken her to the core, which caused her to have the final portion of her psyche to snap before she was destroyed. Despite trying to hold strong, she realized that too often she reverted to an odd state of coping with plush dolls in the holodeck talking to herself.

She took a step inside further to the Bay soaking in the ships, engineers making modifications, and finally, the other Wolves. So many familiar faces were there, and so many still gone. Learning to fight through the trauma was something her therapy sessions taught her. Grief is normal, but her dwelling on it was not helpful.

Ever since her meeting with the councilors, she felt an intense calm wash over her. Although she wasn't quite sure what they had done, a particular Vulcan crewmate used an experimental mind-meld that had finally freed her to feel like she once did. A warrior wolf ready to dive back in and give it her all.

As she approached her locker, she discovered a brand new Exo suit with her callsign on it. GoldenEye it read. She felt pride knowing she still was a part of the pack, and she planned to prove to them that she was still a valued member of the team.

After Tessa grabbed the suit, she headed to the bench and pulled off her uniform. She examined the exosuit which was smooth and felt good on her flesh. Not to mention that it fits really good on her body. As she walked over to the mirror, she inspected the suit. She wasn't quite sure the benefits of the suit having been out of commission for a while.

The Yellow Alert glowed on the walls as it flashed intermittently. Under normal circumstances, this would have spooked her as she awaited the imminent fight. However her thought was now clear, logical, and thinking more clearly than she had in some time.

"Holy smokes. I hope this is just a precaution. The Captain must have a good reason though. Tessa thought more about it. "I know the visit to Aldea and our new alliance with the Klingons and Savi are benefitting us right now, but I just can't seem to fully trust it. Logically, what's the benefit?" With the bombing on Paris, she just couldn't believe everything going on.

Tessa continued to ponder the situation as she sat down on the bench, still dressed in her exosuit as she pulled out her PADD to do some technical reading on the Valkyrie upgrades.

Looking at the PADD, Tessa remembered the tech she'd learned about the Valkyrie ships.  She had undergone a retaining and reevaluation exercise to test her knowledge again since getting the Vulcan mind-meld therapy. "I wonder if I'm ready? I have to be ready. Razor re-evaluated me and my skills were on point. I just hope all of us make it back from whatever craziness we get in the middle of..."

@Auctor Lucan

He was so silent.  Not saying anything, that she finally looked up waiting to see what he was going to say.  Could he read between the lines and realize what she was saying.  She was trying to extend a branch here, to take that first step she knew he had been waiting for her to make since all of this started.  And yet, he was totally gone.  His eyes were in some far off place and not where she wanted them to be, which was on her, he was probably ready to write her off.  She couldn't blame him, he deserved better, should be better, should have someone in his bed that had never been with another or made a stupid mistake in the heat of passion.  But, then, she would be mad if the tables were turned as well, so she figured that it was justified and she deserved whatever punishment she had to take.  Even if it was his anger.  There was nothing she could do but just know that she deserved every ounce of it.

When he came to, and answered, she knew again that he hadn't heard.  He offered her an awkward smile but it wasn't the one she needed.  It wasn't the one that said she had made her first step successful it was just one that was trying to fill a void.  Ji's heart fell into her stomach, and she didn't return the smile.  Her eyes hollowed more slightly as she tugged on her work suit for a moment nervously just to have something to do with her hands.

An odd fake smile later, he told her to do what she thought was right, because she always knew what was best for her.  Ji felt slapped.  She wasn't sure if he meant it the way that she took it.  And he probably didn't, but considering their circumstances she felt that he was calling her out for being selfish and having slept with others.  For always looking out for herself instead of them as a team.  Swallowing the thick lump in her throat she had no way to speak as he turned to head off to get the other fighters ready.

Ji felt the prickling of tears behind her eyes, and she turned looking straight at the floor she scurried into the auxiliary office so that she could take some deep breaths and get herself recentered.  She leaned over her desk and breathed, tears streamed down her olive cheeks for several long moments as she breathed in and out harshly trying to control herself again.  The boys on this deck had never seen her cry and today would not be the first day that they did.  No, Eun Sae Ji was not going to cry, she would never find herself crying on this deck no matter how hard it was.

Pulling herself together, Ji headed back out to finish her check list.

The yellow alert sounded and while the yellow flashing lights filled his peripheral vision, Thomas was marching determined to the locker room. He wasn't on call for actual flight, yet he was just in the area when the alarm was sounded. He'd figure out why the alarm was going off later, first off, he'd get himself into flight gear in case it was actually needed. He looked around as the doors hissed open and spotted Tessa first as she sat near her locker.

The young pilot was checking her PADD and razor had always felt some worry for the woman as she had been losing it in the past few missions. Miraculously though, she managed to save her hide time after time. He was going to speak to her about her actions yet, found out that she had gone to the counselors herself to get help. He left her the freedom and room to get her shit back together and here she sat. He had re-evaluated her after she had come to him to do so so he had no reason to be distrustful towards her.

Walking over to his locker he opened it up and looked at his flight gear, the new and improved suit. He felt the alloy of it and began to undress as he looked over at Tessa again "You alright Tess?" he asked, tone friendly and his eyes looking her over in her new suit "Suit looks good on you." He continued to strip down further as he generally didn't care how his pack members saw him. Besides, Tessa had probably seen it all before ever since Theurgy deployed as he and her were oldtimers compared to all the new members that had joined their pack.

Logan put on the new suit. Alith handed him the new helmet and together they joined Rawley in the lounge to wait for their mission. The pilot and his new Rear Intercept Officer have only flown a few simulations together so far and Logan wondered if she was as calm and level-headed in the real world. Up to now she had been convincing, and Logan had actually shown some kind of professional respect for her, but it was still strange not to get into the cockpit with Zeke in his back. Sure, Logan always liked to show off and try to get the women around with his mischief, but he could only do that so well because he had a damn good Wingman. How that would be with Alith remains to be seen.
The first steps in the new suit felt strange and everything was still a bit stiff. One should think that such problems should be solved in the twenty-fourth century. Logan needed a few lunges until everything was properly packed downstairs. So, he hobbled into the lounge and over to the Replicator.
"One iced coffee."
The replicator confirmed it with his melodic double-tone. Logan grabbed the glass and took a sip, while Alith had already sat down at one of the tables.
"You want some, Hunter?"
"No. Thanks, Lieutenant."
Logan did not ask any more questions. He was still adjusting to the fact that he and Zeke had been separated. Big Z was now working as an air traffic controller here on the ship, after his PTSD left him unfit for duty as a pilot and RIO. Logan sincerely hoped that Ezekiel knew that he was always there for him. That was only natural. After all, they were best friends, and nothing would change that with such a setback.
Slowly he staggered over to the snooker table where Donna was about to join Rawley. Logan leaned against the other table and watched the two women.
"You know, Rawley," Logan opened himself as he took another sip of ice coffee. "I'm a little jealous of you. The Savi ship, the covert operation. I'd like to trade."
Then he smiled a little slyly. "But our Valravn are better off here than in the middle of nowhere."

Sitting on the bench, Tessa finished glancing at the PADD with information and also thinking about how awkward she was when she met Akel a while back. Everything worked out well there though. She realized she was daydreaming slightly before she looked up and saw Razor come over towards her to also inspect his gear.

He asked her if she was alright as she noted his undressing in which was normal to see in the Lone Wolves prep. "I'm doing fine sir. Just looking over the upgrades made to the Valkyries and our suits. Rather impressive if I say so myself." She looked him over as he put the suit on noticing how it fit his muscle really well. He remarked how it looked good on her.

"As long as these new suits keep us from wearing a pine overcoat, it's just fine with me." She laughed at the old world slang term she used. As she sat she remembered those who had fallen in the line of duty since joining the Theurgy and realized there were few of the original pack even left at this point.

Tessa glanced back at her PADD, finished what she was perusing, and tapped the display, shutting it off. "Nice to see you sir. I noticed the Yellow Alert and that we're in process of some pretty delicate mission, but aside from that, not sure what we're doing yet other than drills. I do have a matter to attend to, so please excuse me."

In the corner of the lounge, she spotted several other Wolves in waiting, also checking out their new suits. She was preparing to leave to head out and meet Akel and Veradin at the Shuttle Bay.

Sithick looked at his pads and tapped through the list of checkpoints on the Valkryie diagnostic that he was performing. Weeks of work getting the Aldean cloaks to work and he was going to make sure they worked. This was only the fourteenth diagnostic he had run on each one of the fighters.

Glancing over to Maintenance Bay One, the Gorn could help but grunt at the spot Lieutenant Smith met his death working to help solve the problem with the cloaks. He had lost too many of his Theurgy clutch. Too many, any more and the big guy might slip into a grief fueled rage.

He gestured to each of the crew as he passed to the next fighter and began running another thorough scan. There would be no more deaths on his watch. Not on any equipment he personally checked out.

Having grabbed a cue for herself and set the table in order, Rawley had looked up when Donna approached her with a grin.

"Fuck yeah I want some company," she said with a chuckle. "It's not like I fancy playing a game by my own. You can make the opening shot if you want!"

Waiting wasn't her strong suit, that was for sure, but she was grateful that Donna had come over to keep her distracted. The Yellow Alert might not lead to any flying, but at least it had made all the Lone Wolves assemble regardless which shift rotations they'd had during the time at Aldea. She'd actually managed to find some time with Donna, though, catching up on things since their time in their old squadron, only their little shore leave down on the beach really hadn't turned out as expected...

She was just about to bring up what had happened after their bags and communicators had been stolen when Logan Hale - one of the newer Lone Wolves - stepped up to the snooker table and spoke with her. No, he came over and teased her!

"Ha, do you know something I don't? For all we know the Allegiant might go to Risa, and then you can be snide all you want here on Thea," she told Wraith and raised her chin in a cocky way, the grin still present, "who is already in the middle of nowhere."

Rawley then glanced towards the new RIO of Logan's, whom was out of earshot, and she couldn't help but comment on it, knowing that it couldn't be easy. It wasn't that long ago she flew with a RIO in a Mk II Valkyrie. "Hey, sorry to hear about Zeke. Fuck that must be awful. New girl seems to be sharp though."

She had to say, both Donna and Logan looked good in their exosuits, and this saying whilst having seen them without them too.

Tessa now in her special flight suit shut her locker and walked to her Valkyrie before she began heading out of the Wolf Den. She watched everyone as she proceeded near the area. She brushed the side of the small ship, "Not this time girl. This time I have to do it without you. But I'll be back." she stated under her breath.

Some of her comrades spotted her but they continued to speak in their side conversations. She turned once more looking at them, waved to a few, and left the Fighter Bay.

She waltzed down the corridor towards the shuttle bay. This was certainly going to be an odd mission but it might help her grow in her duties...or not. Either way, she knew she was doing the right thing. Klingons despite making her a little on edge anymore, she knew they were the Theurgy's best hope at getting out of this mess. With Martok as Chancellor, he at least was decent and honorable enough to see there was something amiss in Starfleet. Maybe saving his crew would help that along.

"Well, time to go Tessa. Here goes nothing on your first mission outside of the Valkyrie. Now to find the others."

Thomas looked over Tessa as she checked her PADD and smiled "The upgrades sure do look nifty. Though we'll see what good they'll do to us when we're actually out there I think." he answered her "I mean, in all fairness, these are prototypes." he shrugged. He had to laugh at the use of the old if not ancient slang of a pine coat, shaking his head once more he smirked "I think in the end it'll be us who decides when we go out with a bang Tessa."

Whilst he was still in the middle of hoisting the flight suit on, Lance did inform him that she'd have to attend to another matter. Ravon simply nodded and waved her off "Alright Tessa. Good luck with that." he answered her, pausing only when he saw her by the door "Oh and Lance. It's good to see you're back and well." he said with a genuine smile before nodding so she'd be able to head off.

Alone in the locker room now, Thomas continued to gear up and once he was done, he'd head out to the fighter bay to inspect his ship.

"Never in the middle of nowhere, but always in the middle of the action," Logan laughed at Rawley's teasing. "Surely you don't think I'd trade the awesome action for the boring Risa?" He stretched the last part of the sentence, underlining its meaning. He winked at her, letting her know he would still like to take her place if the opportunity presented itself. Logan liked the thought of being able to get to know an entire species on a completely alien ship. It was an adventure and he envied the pilot for this.

When Rawley approached him about Zeke and his replacement, a little bitterness entered his gaze. He showed her a thin but honest smile. "No stress. Zeke ain't gone forever. He just said we're not cool enough for him. It's his own fault." After Zeke got disqualified from flying because of his PTSD, he transferred to Air Traffic Control. Logan knew he was better off there than in the back of his seat. However, he missed his dry sense of humor and company. You could say what you wanted, but they were best friends and always will be.

The pilot followed the gaze of his colleague and looked at Alith who was studying data on her PADD. "Yeah, she's pretty sharp and I kind of like her cool logical manner. An interesting contrast to Zeke, who was just crying like a little girl when he flew with me anyway. I can't wait to see how she does under real conditions."

Now his usual smile had returned, and Logan reached out with his gloved hands. "These new suits are the killer." He made a few moves that were probably remotely reminiscent of a bodybuilder. "They accentuate my body in the right places and they can protect you, I hear."

Donna, at Rawley’s invitation, retrieved a cue and set about lining up her shot as Logan approached the two of them, quipping about the events unfolding around them. Teasing each other was almost a natural pastime for squadron mates, something that was used to help relieve the tension that developed when being on standby, ready for deployment at a moment’s notice.

“Just remember that I grew up on Risa,” Donna reminded, her warning tone directed at the two pilots at the mention of her second home. “It may not have been where I was born but I have a lot of good memories about it,” she commented before taking her shot and sending the triangle of balls scattering, disappointed that one didn’t drop into a pocket. “Your shot.”

The mention of RIO’s made her wonder what had happened to Tank. She’d dosed him right before her defection and he’d survived up until she had boarded the Theurgy but since then, she had basically forgotten that he existed. And that wasn’t right. Much like her past life, she had used him and then discarded him when she was done. That was the old Donna’s training. That was Max.

“I’ll look him up once the alert clears,” Donna resolved, not wanting to make an issue of it then and there.

“Let’s hope none of us need to find out,” Donna said to Logan, glancing at the man as he admired his new suit. Donna only hoped that the new outfits functioned at least as well as the last bunch. It wasn’t like their lives might depend on it or anything.

With it being her time to shoot, Rawley took a glance at the balls (not the ones hidden by Logan's brand new exosuit) and swaggered over to the most advantageous side of the snooker table. "I went to Risa not long ago," she said with a grin and a shrug, "it was a holo-shoreleave, but I was chuffed though. We took the time whilst we hid from the Calamity, shrouded by some bloody Class-11 nebula we found. I believe it was Suraya Bay. Wasn't too sure. I was there for the booze and the shagging, letting down my non-existent hair."

She leaned over the table, Donna and Logan behind her, and took her shot - sinking one fully collared ball in a middle socket.

"I would bloody hope they protect us as well as the first ones, otherwise it would be a damn downgrade," she said with a chuckled and straightened up, swaying her hips in a cocky way as she went to make another shot - brown eyes scanning the table for opportunities. "These are, according to specs, fitted with Savi tech, which can make us invisible on sensors. Handy if out of the cockpit, I reckon, but even more so for our golden boys and girls in Security. I bet they find it extraordinary to be able to infiltrate and yet remain armoured and kitted for anything. Hell, the thrusters on these are better too, with more outlets, so we can get to do acrobatics in zero-g without looking like drunk manatees."

Before she took her second shot, she threw Logan a glance and a grin. "Oh, I think you're more 'accentuated' without the suit, Wraith, no competition. Red, right corner."

Having said as much, she went for her shot, but the ball bounced off the edge of the intended socket.

"Fuck it. Must have been the thought of you two in the locker room. Bastards," he added with a chuckle, giving her packmates a wink.

While Alessia removes all of her clothes in the locker room until she is in nothing but her birthday suit she dances in a goofy way to the music that is loudly coming from the Walkman MP3 Player that she had replicated.  The steady fast beat of drums with the guitar rift  set the tone of her unorthodox dancing to some classic rock, 'Van Halen - Hot For Teacher' as she sang a few lyrics, "I've got it bad,  got it bad, so Hot for Teacher."  There is no shyness about Alessia as she turns facing her locker jamming to the music as she puts up her personal clothes, all nice and neat inside, beside the fresh uniform inside.  It is the flight jumpsuit that she retrieves and began to wiggle and pull on.  A few Spanish cuss words are heard as she gets stuck for a moment and hobbles on one leg.  A slight frown is given as she is the only one in the locker room - everyone else must all ready to suited up and waiting around.  "Late Gracia, way to stand out," she mutters to herself.  However that frown is turned upside down at the thought of the Mk II Tactical CONN-class exosuit.
[Show/Hide]
A natural sway to her hips would be seen as she walks toward her Exosuit.  The skin tight jump suit she is wearing really shows off the athletic physique that she works extremely hard to maintain.  As her song winds down on her walkman, Alessia finishes putting on the gear she needs to wear underneath the exosuit.  Those dark orbs that make up her eyes stare into the reflective gaze of her helmet.  "Angels are suppose to fly ... I guess booster outlets to jump and hover will do." "Now let's just add some music."  She plugs in an adapter cord to the PADD on her exosuit and downloads her music.  "And let's make the Alpha Quadrant a weirder place," said as she uploads the bio signature of a Tribble to her exosuit's Aldean sensor scrambler.  Once all done she begins the task of getting inside the exosuit.  "Tribble Angel reporting for duty."  After the hud display fully activates on her helm and a read out begans to come up of her exosuits status and her bio readings she turns on some music on her PADD this time it's a rock song from the 1980's, Van Halen - Jump.  Alessia starts to dance in her exosuit to the music moving out to the flight bay and turns on the boosters to make a short low jump.  Her excitement and joy is her way of dealing with the loss of people close to her recently.  Of course after the song ends she would notice the deck engineers all staring at her.  "Erm.... carry on," said as she strides away whistling quickly as she heads to the Wolves Den to find some of the other's.

Alessia quietly as possible she steps into the Den just as Evelyn misses that second shot at the snookers table and hears what she said.  "Woah Woah - just what thoughts are you having about them in the locker room?"  she said through a snicker.  She gives Logan and Donna a thumbs up also at the joke.  Saunters over to join them while they remain on alert status - ready for orders.

"They're going to jerk off on this." Logan explained with a smug smile on his lips. Such technology was a tactician's wet dream. Even better would be cloaking devices that could make you completely invisible, but they were hard to find. "I for myself hope I don't need that, because I have no intention of getting out of the cockpit anytime soon."
He grinned at Rawley's compliment and playfully winked at her, and when she did not place the second shot correctly, a disappointed sigh went up. "I think you do the manatees wrong, Rawley. When you play like that...", he pointed to the table. "But I'm happy to give you a few tips in your dreams."
While it was Donna's turn, Logan turned his arms slightly to look at the half-hidden jets. "Hmm..." He pulled one arm back, clenched his fist and let it shoot forward quickly in one punch. Of course, out of any danger to others. He did not want to disturb the game. "I wonder if the new suits can be used to deliver rocket punches."
Logan smiled when he heard the comment from Alessia. His eyes widened with joy when he saw his little sister. "Oye García. Looking good." He looked over her shoulder and could see some baffled faces of the cover crews through the transparent aluminum walls. "Want to bet who'll win? I bet an hour on the Holodeck on Chance."
Logan laughed cheerfully and winked at Rawley.

Donna, as Rawley bent to take a shot in front of her, idlily wondered if she was flaunting for Logan or herself. Knowing Rawley, it would easily be both. And listening to her run through the list of upgrades to their new exosuits just brought crazy ideas to the forefront of Donna’s imagination. Her mind was brought back to the forefront when Rawley cursed before blaming it on thinking about Logan and Donna in the locker room.

Smiling to herself, Donna stepped up to line up her own shot just as Garcia stepped up and asked Rawley what she had been thinking about. Trying to focus on her shot instead of the conversation, she couldn’t help but hear the bet that Hale was proposing to Garcia. Shaking her head to herself, she instead focused on the table, lining up her shot before taking it. With a satisfied smile, she watched as her target ball disappeared into the corner pocket. Straightening up, she walked around the table, now looking across it at Hale and Garcia as she considered her next shot.

“If you haven’t learnt by now, Rawley’s mind is dirtier than the inside of a waste disposal unit,” Donna remarked casually. “Be careful what you ask her if you aren’t prepared for the answer.”

Angel came over and Rawley gave the Valravn pilot a grin, her helmet sitting on the edge of the snooker table whilst they played. Evelyn recalled how much fun she'd had together with Garcia and Bloodwing after the battle with the Borg. The former White Wolf sure knew how to celebrate. She was calling her out on her joke, and Rawley chuckled. "Oh, I think you would have an idea where my mind was at.[/i]

Donna alluded towards the nature of her humour as well, having come to know Rawley not just on the Theurgy, but their old squadron, and Logan was happy to give her tips on account of her fantasies of him, but soon enough his attention returned to the new suit and its features. Then, he had thenerve to suggest Chance would win the match.

"Hey! You bloody bastard, don't come here taking a piss on my game," she objected with a fake frown and slapped his shoulder, which hardly did much given they were both wearing the exosuits. "If you want to get lucky, then you better cheer for me instead and taunt the cocky Risian. Was going to let you clean my pipes once they call off this Yellow alert, but fat chance of that now."

Glancing towards Donna, she tapped the table. "Come ooon, don't take all bloody day."

A happy grin did form on Alessia and it shined in her eyes at seeing them.  When she moved in to join them Logan got a tight hug and she offered a fist bump as she said, "I will take that bet.  Rawley is just letting Donna have the table to watch her bend over it."  Alessia tilted her head to one side and she had added, "and i completely understand why." admired the view herself.  She remained near Logan whom was like a big brother to her as she watched the game unfold.
"I like the new exo suits - if we had these during the Dominion War when I did Hooper transport drops,"  she made a face.  Alessia looked up at Logan, "Hey when we have some time I would like to talk to you."  She'd made a serious decision about something and wanted to talk to him about it in private later.

She hits a button on her exosuits PADD which turned on a classic song called 'I'm Too Sexy' by Right Said Fred that she loaded earlier and snickered.

The former intelligence operative and current TacCONN pilot smiled to herself at Rawley’s words and actions. Ghost hadn’t changed at all, she noted as Garcia complemented her backside. Lining up her second shot, she sank another ball just as music began to fill the space from the Spaniard’s PADD. Chuckling at the ancient Terran song, Donna moved around the table again to line up her third shot. Another moment of careful aim and Donna’s marksmanship paid off once again as a third ball disappeared from the table.

“Still want me to keep going Rawley?” Donna asked idly as she prepared to line up a fourth target. “Given the chance, I could probably do this all day. You game?” At her own words, Donna found her mind falling backwards as it disappeared into her past.

“You game?” Max asked the Andorian sitting across the table from her. They were playing cards and the blue-skinned male had run out of things to cover the bets that he wanted to make. So Max had come up with an alternative idea. “I’ve always wanted a genuine Andorian antenna for my collection and this saves me a fight.”

Jerking, Donna’s cue hit the white ball at the wrong angle and sent it sailing across the table, missing everything and coming perilously close to disappearing into a pocket itself.

“Or not, I guess,” Donna remarked, using every ounce of her skills to conceal her memory disturbed emotional state. “Your shot.”

Logan flinched from Rawley's statement that he was no longer allowed to clean her pipes. His hand lay on his chest at the level of his heart. "Ouch. That hurt." Then he laughed cheerfully and straightened up again after being beaten so brutally by her that she almost broke his shoulder with just one blow.
Logan was lucky. Alessia came to his aid and stood protectively at his side. She was also happy about the new exo-suits. Logan flexed his muscles a little and posed. "And they look so damn good doing it." He grabbed his iced coffee and took another sip.
The game seemed to go in his favor. It was Donna's turn again and she sank a few balls. The pilot was already thinking about what he wanted to do with the extra hour in the holodeck. Maybe he wanted to go for a bike ride in the Alps, or maybe he wanted to ride along the Salar de Uyuni. Or maybe he should just try one of the many detective novels from the library. Logan had a lot of ideas when Alessia asked him to exchange a few words with him when the opportunity arose. For a moment he looked at the smaller woman uncertainly, but then nodded in agreement. "Sure. Whenever you want, Alessia."
Donna missed the third ball and almost sent the white ball into one of the pockets. Logan jumped up. "Come on, Donna. You can do better than that."

"Finally," said Rawley with a grin and sauntered into position to make another shot. On the way there, she glanced towards the two Valravn pilots - noting how friendly they were being. Perhaps he'll be cleaning her pipes instead? The notion made her grin privately, but she said naught, letting her hips bounce a bit to the tune of the classical music Garcia was playing in the Wolf Den lounge.

The game continued, and eventually, the ship stood down from Yellow Alert, the announcement coming from the intercom that the Theurgy was leaving Aldea.

"So shore leave is ending, I take it?" said Rawley and put the cue across her shoulders, frowning a bit. "And I suppose we got dressed up for nothing this time. I kind of wished we'd get to try out the new suits in the cockpits, but oh well..."She put the cue away, and while there were still balls left on the table, she gave Petterson a grin over her shoulder.

"I forfeit the game, Chance. I want to get out of this suit and get a shower instead!" She gave a casual wave and left the lounge behind, heading for the locker room instead. It took some time to figure out how to most efficiently get out of the new excsuit, but once it was back in her locker, she hit the showers, wondering what the day would have in store, and why they were leaving drydock all of a sudden.

The announcement that they were standing down from Yellow Alert was only a brief reprieve before the rest of the announcement confirmed what many had begun to suspect. Their respite in port was over. The Theurgy was ready and it was time for them to return to their mission against the Infested and protect their way of life from the elusive and relentless enemy. Donna knew that she was going to miss Aldea.

“Looks like it,” Donna added when Rawley commented on their shore leave ending. Standing there, leaning against the edge of the table, she wasn’t surprised when Rawley forfeited their game. With them not at alert anymore, there wasn’t a need for them to all be suited up. Rawley’s suggestion of a shower though raised a wistful thought in the pilot’s mind but she knew that it was pointless. She was due to take over CAP duties soon and she’d just have to put the exosuit back on again.

“Enjoy,” Donna called out to the departing Ghost before storing her own cue away. Deciding to catch up on her reading a little, she left the lounge herself and headed towards her fighter. She could kill time reading in her cockpit.
