It's finals week/preparation, and my truck, I called the "Normandy" was stolen not 48 hours ago-- the authorities are on the case. I'm not going to be all, I can't go on, but let's just say I'm quite in-character now for a guy who lost his ship, but not his willpower or his mettle. I've had some good bicycling exercise lately anyway; don't worry about me. I've had worse, it's like a break-up or a fight with a loved one: a tough pill to process all the same no matter if you're ready for it or not.
I'm past the acceptance stage-- if anything it's my leather jacket I miss-- and the iPhone inside-- that was lifted; but better that than my laptop or my pit bull 'Tiburon' <'Sharky' in Spanish-- he's still a big puppy and not full-tilt attack grade yet>. It'll just take a day or two to get my bearings and clinch the semester, but there are some theme songs have been coming to mind. But hey, Memorial Day weekend is coming up followed shortly by Summer break and online courses, so I'll be free to pursue my own adventures, such as this one. *Raises a pint of Tecate*
"I don't care, I'm still free; you can't take the sky from me.... and I've got faith, Faith of the heart." It would take a lot more than that... setback, to bend or break me, I'm an optimist and will stick up my chin, and grin, and sing 'The Sun'll come out Tomorrow."
^ Right, Guys? We've all lost our ships at some point or another or had them broken. Didn't stop any of you, if anything it made you better. And if I catch whoever's responsible, they're going to learn how hard I can kick.
