Kendrick's Crew Unarmed Sub-Plot Discussion August 31, 2017, 02:18:19 AM The Resolve Crew Unarmed With everything going on (see above), the Resolve's crew cannot accept being unarmed and vulnerable, used to always be allowed to carry arms under Kendrick's command. This would be a social commentary about weapon rights, which we could make quite interesting. Here, also, raids on weapon lockers may occur, and defending Thea's arsenal of hand-held weapons becomes quite difficult for all Security personnel.[Show/Hide]The Resolve's Senior Staff will kindly be asked to hand over their weapons in the Conference Lounge before the 1900 hrs. briefing in the Fighter Assault Bay. Senior Staff who refuse gets unarmed anyway, Wenn Cinn, ThanIda zh'Wann & Ryuan Sel may be summoned to Conference Lounge. (Finished)When the Resolve and Orcus crews are beamed into the Fighter Assault Bay, all their weapons are filtered into the buffers (Finished)Marquez brought from Sickbay to FAB, has belatedly requested to Ives en route to have the Resolve crew keep their armament, but was rejected on all points. Policy already implemented and everyone has been unarmed. In the Fighter Assault Bay Marquez tells the crew Captain Kendrick is dead. (Finished) Later, after the briefing, Marquez issues unofficial orders to watch each others' backs at all times. Resolve would be a tight-knit crew at this pointPersonal Senior Staff interviews conducted during end of Day 01 and morning Day 02 (happens off screen, impossible to write out all these in threads for GM)"To Absent Friends" midnight meeting on Day 01 after some personal interviews have been held. Marquez brings the tequila. (To be posted by Striker)Martin accepts being unarmed, may drive a wedge into the matter and others would conform tooDerik accepting being unarmed at first, a sudden tragedy might change thatAttempted weapon locker raids (?)Virus cure might be used as leverage to regain weapon rights (Vivian and/or Mariner could had it over it over anyway)Doctor Maya is brought in if cure not handed overHolodeck bootcamp for non-Tactical CONN officers as well (?)The list above has not been edited, because I wonder if we should take this development further or not. Since some answers to the poll said we've had too many mutiny plots, I wanted to check if we should keep this going.Best,Auctor Lucan Last Edit: September 06, 2017, 04:01:29 PM by Auctor Lucan 1 Likes
Re: Kendrick's Crew Unarmed Sub-Plot Discussion Reply #1 – September 01, 2017, 10:21:31 PM I don't think it's so much of a mutiny potential as much as a social acclimitization to something different. But considering the problems involving mutinies in Theurgy, it makes sense for better gun-control than Kendrick had.In any case it would take time, certainly more than a few days for the Resolve crew to warm up to the Theurgy bunch. But I support the idea of some bridging the gaps more quickly for various reasons. 1 Likes
Re: Kendrick's Crew Unarmed Sub-Plot Discussion Reply #2 – September 06, 2017, 04:03:06 PM I think, after checking around, that for the aforementioned reasons about avoiding mutiny plots, this is no offical sub-plot of this Interregnum. Elements of the integration of the Resolve crew can be played out without having to dedicate this kind of focus on it. Top post edited to reflect the dismissal of this as a sub-plot.Best,Auctor Lucan 1 Likes
