Day 03 [1300 hrs.] Holodeck Suited for Repair

A few of the exosuits were scheduled for maintenance and testing after they had been damaged during the last few battles, so Adam had decided to do a few situations that would put the suits to their limits. Unfortunately while at Aldea he didn't want to give neither the Klingons or Aldeans any access to them.

He walked over to the first one that was stored but sealed because it was still damaged, Adam opened the case after entering his code. He pulled out the various parts and put them onto the trolley he had wheeled over earlier. He had the suit on the trolley and pushed the trolley into the holodeck. "Computer give me a simulation of the airlock with a workbench inside the ship please?" Adam instructed.

"Configuration in progress Lieutenant..." Thea's voice said as the yellow black grid shifted and Adam found himself in the room in front of the airlock. A workbench next to the inner airlock door. The quality of the simulation flickered a few times then stabilized, "Simulation complete."

"Disable safety protocols, authorization Kingston-6-9-purple-omega," Adam ordered as he started transferring the suit pieces from the trolley to the workbench. The trolley had tools and replacement parts as well, so he picked up the tools and put at one end of the bench.

The computer chirped, though he knew that Thea must be reporting the disability of the safety protocols to the main security control room. His authorization on the report. He began by picking up the smaller circuitry repair tool and went through all the circuitry exposed damaged parts of the gauntlets, occasionally replacing parts as he went.

Adam then used a scanner that looks similar to the attachment medical tricorders have but it scans damaged armour parts and calculates the missing sections dimensions that he can send to a replicator for fabrication. The holodeck however can do the fabrication with help from the transporter system so the holo-replicator automatically created real replacement armour sections.

Once he fixed the second gauntlets circuitry Adam went to get the armour replacement sections and put the pieces into the first gauntlet which fit perfectly. Adam smiled, he liked when things just went smoothly. He used the laser sealer tool to make the gauntlet whole again.

Time past and he had finished the second shin guard when his stomach growled. He announced. "Freeze program and save as exosuit repair," he said.

"Program saved,"

"Thank you," Adam said and headed out to go to the lounge for a snack.

Refreshed and full of energy Adam walked back into the holodeck and found the program still running. Maybe Thea didn't deactivate it or he didn't, probably he forgot in his haste to get food. He went to the workbench and began using the scanner on the holes in the right leg pieces, which were the last ones he had to repair.

Simple tasks like this felt therapeutic and relaxing often then not, the feeling of accomplishment was great and after several minutes he was done. He put his tools down and began putting the suit pieces on himself as he had to test the integrity of the new parts. Once all assembled he tapped activate and seal, he picked up the helmet he grabbed off the floor. He had them on the trolley. Fiddling with the helmet's strap and then it's connections with the suit, Adam had to reboot both twice. He wasn't sure why and would investigate later.

Adam got it to connect and then seal over.

"Thea can you change the program to an orbital dive please in 8 seconds," Adam asked as he made a quick adjustment with tools from the trolley to adjust the sizing a bit around his legs.

"Program change in 8 seconds to shuttlecraft in low orbit," Thea replied and a chime sounded for each second.

After 8 counts, the holodeck changed to a shuttle interior with the back door invitingly open but a forcefield preventing atmospheric loss. He recalled the safeties were off so knew that he could hurt himself, but he had to test the suit in proper stress situations.

He jumped and went into Starfish position as he fell toward the planet, fast. Adam was feeling so much adrenaline flood his body and he was having fun. His arm tricorder recording everything about the test and the suit's status as he fell. He yelled out in excitement and brought his arms and legs together with his body resulting in faster descent.

Then without warning like most accidents a micrometeor went through his leg, and another through his shoulder. The pain made him scream and he yelled out. "Freeze program," through gritted teeth as the program did suddenly come to a stop but he couldn't move to stand up right and so hit the holodeck floor hard. He grunted and managed to call out, -/\-"Kingston to Sickbay,"-/\- he tried to move again but it made pain spread quickly and hot. He screamed again into the open channel then passed out.

-/\-"Doctor Hernandez here, Kingston,"-/\- George's voice called over Kingston's combadge a little . After no reply for more then several seconds, the medical officer spoke again, -/\-"Kingston respond?"-/\- Another paused then the channel closed.

Moments later Lieutenant George Hernandez MD materialised in the holodeck with Chief Petty Officer Jacques Hebert. The two went to the Master-At-Arms' side and began taking the suit off around the pools of blood and George spoke up. "Give him a stimulant please."

Jacques nodded as he went through his kit and assembled a hypospray. "Right, injecting now," the enlisted nurse said as he placed the spray against Adam's neck and pressed the button with his thumb. The spray hissed indicating the liquid was delivered and the Chief Petty Officer put the hypo back and grabbed the medical tricorder, opened and began scanning.

"Two holes Lieutenant, leg and shoulder, clean through," Jacques detailed what the tricorder told him and George nodded as he grabbed the bio sealent injector as well as the disinfectant spray.

Adam snapped awake with a loud pained grunt as he tried to move.

"We are here Lieutenant Kingston, please don't move as it will hurt." George said as he applied the disinfectant spray on the two holes on the back of Adam's body before filling them with the bio sealant. "Okay we need to turn you over Adam,"

This made Adam groan loudly as he spoke. "Ok-ay," he croaked and attempted to roll over, growling as both Jacques and George helped slowly so the sealant had time to set and not to dislodge it when they put Adam on his back. A few curses later and he was on his back, the greater of the pain coming from his leg this time.

"Easy Lieutenant," Jacques said and picked up the disinfectant, handed it to George before picking up the sealant because George had put both down to help turn Adam over.

George then treated the holes on the back of Adam's body before using the bio sealant again to close the holes up. "There, you should feel somewhat better Lieutenant?"

Adam sighed in relief from the pain as he smiled when the last of the sealant set, the skin felt cool where the sealant was which started to numb the areas, allowing him to get to his feet. Then again no as he attempted to roll onto his stomach again, he grunted in pain and glanced at George and then Jacques, both smiled as they stood after packing their kits up.

"Thea can you beam us three to Sickbay please?" George said after tapping his combadge. The transporter activated and they were inside Sickbay in seconds, the medical techs quickly helped Adam to a biobed and George and Jacques got to work on replacing Adam's flesh one hole at a time.
