Day 02 [1800 hrs.] Butterfly Wings To Hurricane

[ Thomas Ravon | Lower Gymnasium | Deck 06 | Vector 03 | USS Theurgy ] @BZ

The early trip down to the planet, the memorial service, the long shift that had gone prior to it all. Thomas Ravon was having a bad day. In fact, a bad day wasn't even coming close to how his day was. Terrible would cut it short, Megaterrible would be tip of the iceberg. The punching bag before him was the victim of the day as he taped his knuckles in. Standing in front of the bag in just a pair of shorts and a wolves tank top, it felt like Thomas had gotten in the gym just in time. The kettle of mixed emotions boiling on the edge for over half a day now. Once he was satisfied with the taping he exhaled, the world around him fading to a blur as there was only the punching bag in front of him.

For a moment the lit of the kettle was removed as the pilot inhaled fresh air once more. A flurry of punches and kicks were delivered to the bag as each and every one of them hit the target true and hard. His breathing starting to turn jagged as he lost control over it, his strikes becoming more sloppy as he unleashed the full anger of what had truly been bugging him that day. Not only the fact that he had to go to through the entire list of names that were lost under his command, not because he had been kidnapped on a fucking simple dig site mission, nor about the fact that Zephyr was dating another guy. He was furious at himself for not seeing the signs, for not being adequate enough to do anything to all of it! He had just been a pawn in an ever moving game that never ceased to care what he aimed for.

The body of the wolf quickly turning sweaty and the tank top starting to stick to his skin as his body burned through the energy. Eventually he came to hug the boxing bag as he panted for air and he inhaled deeply before rinsing himself off with a drinking can of water. Once he felt he was cooled off, he repeated the same aggressive movements and battered away at the boxing bag as if it was the culprit. He didn't know how long he had been in the gym or how many strikes he had delivered to the bag before he heard the sound of howling and laughing to his side. He came to a stop as he stopped the punching bag from moving, not remembering anyone else in this part of the gym as he had started off.

In the second part of the gym stood four guys from security, two of them he had met before while they were on duty. Three of them had been cheering for their buddy who was facing a woman. He looked at the woman and recognized her as the woman that he had run to in the elevator. The one whom asked if he had a sister. She looked rather intimidating with the tattoos yet as the security guy attempted to win from her, it seemed like she was quite driven and well versed in the art of sparring. Thomas watched the scenario unfold before him as the security bloke attempted every possible move he knew to best her, yet eventually found himself face planted into the mat as he had to groaned he'd yield. The other three guys were impressed, baffled before they quickly hopped on to help their buddy out.

Hushed whispers and words exchanged as none of them seemed to be willing to take on the woman next and Thomas had to laugh, perhaps a tad too loud as two of security glared at him, before recognizing him and helping their buddy out. The woman looked at him, giving him the look 'Think you can do better?' The pilot taking a sip of the water before he walked up to the mat and snorting "Don't expect me to go down like one of them." he warned her as the security blokes stopped and looked, calling the pilot crazy among themselves for even trying to best the woman, they now knew as Zyrao Natuana. Though they didn't leave, they had seen Ravon brawl before, they were curious to the outcome and one of them alerted some of his other friends to come and check this showdown as Thomas narrowed his eyes. He had heard her response and a smirk crossed his features as he provoked her "Are we going to keep standing here like puppets or are we going to fucking fight?"

The gym smelled like sweat.

She would also say it smelled like men because they were the ones here in droves.  There had been some sort of memorial, she hadn't attended, and she hadn't really felt that she missed out. Those that were memorialized weren't those that she knew, and it wouldn't do any good to stand there with a bunch of others.  She would mourn the lost in her own way when she knew them and had actual reason to mourn.  She was upset about Eboh.  Really, though she tried not to let it show because those around her didn't understand or know.  Theyw ouldn't understand why she mourned someone she had only met just the ones.  Though she did.  He was one of her own, one of her kind, and one of the last.  A rarity for someone like her to come across another of her kind, even just half, she had been glad and felt a sort of kinship with him.  But, he was gone now, killed, and she wasn't exactly sure what she wanted to do about that yet.

Today, had been spent with Chloe, a sweet woman that she had reunited with on the Aldean planet and it had been nice to catch up.  It had been nice to know that all her training and all her teaching had not lead the woman astray but instead, had allowed her to become the woman that Zyrao had dreamed that she could be.

Now though, with everything, she had needed some kind of physical release.  Jen was off doing whatever she wanted, and had made it clear that she was not interested in a relationship with anything other than the Federation.  So, while it was good for scratching itches, Zyrao was not so desperate to seek out the company of someone so avidly when it was not something to seek.  It was something that would happen when it could.  Still though, Sera was busy doing her own thing and they were very not attached either, and Zyrao found herself with some steam to blow and no one to play with.

Thus, she had been attracted to the gym.

At first there weren't many in there.  There was a guy trying to beat through a punching bag on the other end of the gym, and a couple of Sec officers going at it in the ring.  For a little bit she leaned int and watched the boys play their games of ducking and swerving and never actually landing a single fucking blow. Finally, she started calling out shit to them and the whole thing started to get more interesting.  Blows were landed, blood was flying, and one guy finally lost a fucking tooth before they finally called the spar done and the winter, already swollen eyed and darkness impending called her in.  Saying if she was so good then she should put her fist where her mouth was.  She promised that if she came in she would put it where his mouth was which earned a grin from him in disbelief.

She slid off her hoodie and tossed it to the side. Wearing just a dark black tank top with red trim and a pair of comfortable pants she stepped into the ring and stretched her arms up over her head for a moment before she darted in ruthlessly.  She had tons of tattoos and now that you could see her arms, shoulders, and some of her back it was obvious there was a plethora of them but that so many were likely still covered by her clothing.  She knocked out several guys, and more kept coming.  Bigger, more muscular, more meaty and each one with a mouthful of words he would soon swallow as she kicked their asses. Because bigger, when fighting with Zyrao, was not better.  She was small, strong, fierce, and she didn't mind taking a hit to make one herself.

Finally, laughter from across the gym, and Zyrao brushed her damp hair out of her face as she looked over her tattooed shoulder at the culprit.  Ah, Turbolift guy. she thought as she studied him.  He still looked really familiar though she knew that she didn't know him but it was bugging her where she had seen his features before.  But, she had traveled so far and so often that it could literally be almost anywhere in the universe.  She rose her brow and waited, sure enough he took the bait and crossed the gym getting into the ring where she was.  The men around her were in various stages of swelling and lovely colors coming up on their faces, but this one hadn't been touched yet.  He said something snarky and she chuckled.

“Don't expect me to be gentle just because you're prettier.” she grinned.  He narrowed his eyes and asked if they were going to get started.

“No patience, such a man.”

But, she launched her attack right then and there.  She went in with a fist but while he was concentrating on her fist coming right at his throat, which wouldn't actually reach because she had intended it to be a diversion she brought her knee up and went right for the kidney.  It would cause such pain that he would likely go down, but she was interested to see how much this guy could back up his bravado because so far, she had been disappointed.

While Zyrao had beaten plenty of men in the ring, Thomas felt confident enough to stand up against her. While he stood a head taller than Zyrao, Ravon knew the tricky side of fighting smaller opponents. How they'd make it up in agility and just general swiftness. He figured the security guys would have to know this too and so he'd have to find a way to get to her as she surely took some hits, but looked rather fresh in both mind and body. From what heh ad seen so far she was an easily underestimated fighter. The mistake of thinking women wouldn't hit that hard or prove to be less of a threat.

He scoffed at the part where she called him pretty, though it didn't mean she'd hold back. The final words having left her lips before she launched her assault. The woman was quick, real quick and Thomas was fast enough to raise his fists to block the incoming assault on his neck before the knee connected to his side. The searing pain jolted through Thomas as he felt the pressure point connecting to his organs. The air being pushed out of his lungs as he let out a groan of pain, his knee giving in as he knelt on the sparring mat while his reflexes kicked in at the same time. Zyrao's foot got caught by his hands on the way out. His eyes looking back up at her as the pain seemed to be a stimulant for the pilot. He pulled the leg towards him to cause her to fling forwards while his elbow was positioned to smack her right in that pretty face of hers.

While his side still hurt Thomas got back on his knees, regardless if his reactive move had hit her or not. He decided to simply maul away at her, with no plan, no tactic. The fact that she didn't hold back like some others did due to his position made him smile broadly. It meant that he'd finally get back into a fight where nobody held back. Right now, that's what he needed. To feel the pain, the have that pain compensate for the hurt inside him, to feel alive. It meant that he didn't have to settle for a fucking punching bag that never hit back. As much as it served as a venting mechanism, dealing out blows without receiving any hits just didn't really work out.

He lunged forwards as he made some attempts to either kick, or punch her yet in the end the goal was to topple her. He used all the momentum and speed to plant his shoulder just under her ribs. If it would connect he'd lift her off the ground before slamming her down on the sparring padded ground. From there his goal would be to batter away at her until she yielded. For now, the initial assault had been declared.

It had worked brilliantly.  He had not seen her attack coming for his kidney because of the punch coming at his throat.  Her knee connected with his body and she could see the pain crossing his face as he took the unexpected hit.  She could only grin.  She had already taken down six men and somehow this guy thought he was going to be different.  She was actually glad to have another fight.  After living and what not with the Klingon for over a decade she found herself very pat for these people.  She supposed that she might need to get a Klingon in here that actually knew how to fight the way that she did.  But, it didn't seem like she needed to now, at least that was her hope.  So many of the men had a shit ton of bravado and no skills to back it up.  They thought they had skills but she hadn't seen any, that much was for certain.  They would get the occasional hit in, but it was never anything worthwhile, nothing that would do more than jar her for a second but her body had been trained to fight even when she wasn't exactly with all her wits.

As her foot came down from the kick to his kidney he grabbed her foot, she thought he was going to throw her to the ground but she was wrong.  Instead though, he pulled her forward to put her off balance, but it didn't.  She wasn't the sort to be thrown off so easily.  Though he threw his elbow at her face, and she let it connect because at the same time she punched him in the smart mouth that he carried around with him and a grin took over her face.  The momentary pain of his elbow was nothing too bad.  She would get over it.

As he finally got his ass off the floor mats once he hit her, he began to attack her without mercy.  Punches, kicks, swats, everything.  She was blocking the heavy hitters and not blocking the small shit.  She managed to get a few kicks into his abdomen a few times here and there in between his deluge of hits coming at her.  She was not a noisy fighter, in fact she was deathly quiet when she fought.  But those grey eyes of hers were fierce and shit and she was taking not shit from him today.  Not a single ounce, instead, she was going to kick his ass until he couldn't breath of if he was lucky, she couldn't.  But, either way, this was a fight worth fighting for and she had missed having a good old fashioned painful fight.  The kind that woke you up, reminded you that you were alive, and that life was still worth living.

Suddenly, he was running at her, ahhh, she loved stupid fighters.  Klingon were just as bad at the all-or-nothing approach and she had learned how to easy thwart it.  So she prepped herself.  Tightening her abs, bending her knees to get ready.  Because he was running too far, too fast, to stop, and she emptied her lungs in one quick exhale.  So when he slammed into her there was no air in her lungs for him to get out, and instead of tensing and trying to fight him she road the wave.  But, unlike his plan, to take her down to the mats, she didn't allow it.  Instead, she clung onto him and road the wave.  But, before he could slam her down into the mat she used her arms to lift herself up over his shoulders and execute a lovely back flip with a twist.  Just enough that she landed on her feet, knees bent, and facing his still running back side.  Where she spun herself into a quick kick and her foot smarted on the side of his head knocking him down to the mat.

A grin on her face knowing that would have shown him a few stars to say the least.

While he was seeing stars, she was going to try to take advantage of his weakened state.  So she walked over to him quickly and went straight for a punch.  He had spun slightly with the force of her kick earlier and that enabled him to face her just enough that she went straight for a right hook to his face.  She wanted to make him bleed, so that maybe, when he woke up in Sickbay he would remember this fight and how fun it was for her.  The cheers and jeers outside the ring were getting louder with every hit either of them landed.

“I got holodeck time scheduled for tomorrow at 0800 I'll put on the table says the El-Aurian wins.” said one, she could hear behind them.

“Nah nah, I don't know what's got into the Wolf but he is pissed the fuck off.  I got my holodeck time on him.” said another.

Okay, so this girl knew how to fight. The most of his attacks proving to be futile as he absorbed blow after blow. The metallic taste in his mouth alerting him of the presence of blood in it as he spat dome on the rink and snorted. Pain was felt, however that was no reason to stop fighting, if anything it spurred the wolf on. The only upside of lasting this long in a fight, he had already proved to be better than the security blokes and he had seen some of her base moves (and felt them) up close. His head was ringing, dazed slightly by the kick she had delivered him just seconds ago.

His eyes trying to focus on her as he kept his look trained on her. She ventured closer for few more nasty hits and he just let it happen, the right hook connecting and making the world spin, though he endured it. Letting her get that sweet taste of approaching victory before her next punch was caught by his hand. He was still too dazed to see if she was surprised though the wolf's reactions came in quick as he resorted himself to pure instinct combat.

His hand twisted her fist around the grip solid and preventing her to pull it back as he attempted once more to sweep her feet away from under her. This time though he aimed the swipe high enough, preventing her from jumping as he hit her right in the back of her knees. As he felt the slight shift in weight as he finally got her to a downward trajectory of the math, he leaned into it, putting his full weight into the drop and aiming his elbow right in between her ribs. The smack onto the mat was loud and he may have cracked or at least seriously contused one or two of Zyrao's ribs before he reacted fast enough to get away from her before she'd get back to him.

He rolled back and focused as his eyesight turned back to normal after the effects of the sidekick started to wear off. He was breathing fast and deep enough to almost look like he was panting. In truth he was recuperating some of his energy as he waited for Zyrao to get up. He didn't want to kick and punch an already down foe. A move he might regret perhaps.

The cheers and bets increased as the fight carried on, the both of them dealing out several more blows to one another, their faces and body showing the full extent of the power placed behind each punch. Neither of them was holding back and Ravon's eyes were swollen, his lip bleeding, his body bruised and damaged as he didn't plan to give in just yet. Zyrao looked not exactly worse for wear, nor did she look any better.

She had blood on her knuckles.  It was one of her favorite things.  He was in pain, and he was looking at her with that fire in his eyes that said the fight was only just starting.  A slow grin crossed her full lips as she rose her hand up to her mouth and sucked the blood off the back of her knuckles coloring her lips with it before licking them clean as well.  It was a tactic she had learned to use wisely and while it didn't seem to really garner fear from the man still reeling from her onslaught.  Though the other men that were watching the fight avidly seemed to get even more excited.  There was something about men, and their more basic instincts that were either sex or violence.

The ones that could get a hard on while fighting were even more her type.

But, that was neither here nor there.  She moved over towards him to give him another punch while the bell in his head still rung.  She launched into another punch only this time he caught her hand.  She grinned, it was beautiful. She loved, greatly, a good fight.  There was nothing better than an actual fight where both sides got after one another.  She wanted to hurt him and she didn't mind being hurt back.  Blowing off steam was the perfect thing for this occasion and she was quite glad to finally have someone that didn't go down so easily.  That got old, she liked that he could be here with her to get this shit done right.  She had a feeling with the way he was launching himself at her that he had his own emotions to get rid of.

He twisted her hand so that she had less musculature to pull it back with, and even though she tried he didn't give up his grip.  He moved his body, his leg coming over to sweet hers out from underneath.  She slammed into the mats, with him holding her hand she was incapable of actually being able to jump that high at the moment and not dislocate her shoulder.  Something that would turn the tide of their fight really quickly if given the chance.  As she slammed down, he came with her momentum and she felt the rib crack, heard it at the same time, and the give in her chest.  She grimaced in pain as it arched through her body, but, she didn't let that stop her.  Using her body's own desire to get away from the painful stimuli she twisted herself into a corkscrew so that she could roll away from him all the while elbowing him in the face.  The elbow connected with the cartlidge of his nose and she heard the sickening crunch and the gush of blood as she either broke it or hurt it really fucking good.

She took a moment to make sure that her lung had not collapsed.  She wasn't coughing up blood, and she could breath, but that didn't mean another hit to the same area wouldn't send her rib through the soft tissue of her lung.  But, she had fought through worse.  Getting up off the mat, to her full height the grey eyes of the predatory woman looked over Ravon.  She didn't know his name, it wasn't important, all that was important was the fight, the blood, and the heart pumping in her chest.

“I have Romulan ale, the bitch beats him.”

“That shit is illegal!” called out another.

“He probably has synthanol shit.” called out a taller fellow.

“Whatever guys, I'm just saying, money is on the Klingon woman.”

“She isn't even Klingon.”

“Well she fights like one.” he smirked.

He was already swelling, his pretty face marred by the blows that she had landed.  She didn't wait though, she launched towards him, ready for the attack.  Only as she got to him, she dropped and slid between his widened legs to prep for her onslaught.  It didn't come, she slid underneath his legs and popped up painfully behind him.  She punched him straight in the back of the neck and kicked him right in the spine, or at least that was her plan.  As he jolted forward, she jumped up onto his back and flipped her own body down towards the mats hoping to bring Thomas with her for a dual slam into the mats.

This woman was a piece of work, that much was for sure. Ravon's body was suffering from the blows and hits he had received from her and he watched her decorate her lips with the blood on her knuckles. If anything this woman was crazy, or far beyond that. There was no time to have small talk, nor did he really need any banter or provocation as the fight continued. A new series of volleys and devastating blows were delivered. Hearing the woman's rib crack made Thomas smile yet the victory was short lived as he was elbowed in the nose and soon the air flow was hampered as the blood gushed out of his nose. It felt broken, yet it was nothing medical wouldn't be able to fix.

The crowd's interaction was loud, yet not his focus. He didn't pay attention to them and Zyrao came back for him again. He narrowed his eyes as he had smeared some of the blood both ways on his cheeks. Creating a sort of bloody war paint on his features. He watched her get in between his legs and the dual hit to his neck and spine connected as he fumbled forward. There was little time to recuperate as Zyrao quickly jumped on his back and toppled the balance of the both of them to her side. He allowed it to happen as the both of them slammed down onto the mats. Both of their bodies cracked as they dropped onto the mats. Contusions, fractures, cuts and scraps decorating both their bodies as both of them panted.

Ravon managed to turn around in time to pin himself above Zyrao. Having her locked down, he began to pummel away at her face. Zyrao blocked most of them, having some of them connect to her pretty face though before she managed to stir enough underneath him so her legs crossed over against his neck and cut off the air supply. It would be game over for Thomas rather quickly though in a final effort he pressed his elbow down as he used his full weight to add enough pressure to cut her air supply in turn. The two of them in a deadlocked situation where neither would win.

As the peripheral vision of Ravon began to darken and turn black he snorted as blood landed besides Zyrao's face "Cwall it a draw?" he managed to grin as his teeth were mixed with blood as well. Waiting for her answer the situation kept on though as both parties agreed that there could be no victor they simply disengaged and fell both on their backs on the mats as they needed the air desperately.

The crowd thath ad gathered was cheering, disappointed as well as no victor prevailed fromthe fight and it didn't take long before a couple of medical officers rushed onto the mats to check on them after the gruesome injuries the both of them had inflicted. They both were tended to so the worst injuries were healed up. They both still looked like a bloody mess though and Ravon was the first to walk up to Zyrao before he smirked and reached his hand out to her "Good fight."

This was a fight worthy of a Klingon.

As Zyrao lay on the mats breathing heavily, every breath pained, sharp stabbing motions deep in her guts with every single breath.  She didn't mind it though, she knew that it was because she was alive.  While it hurt to breath, she could still breathe, and that meant she was doing just fine.  She was about to move, to roll off and away like she needed to but he was just a hair quicker and pulled her underneath him.  He mounted over her holding her arms down.  Though she twisted and fought because Zyrao was never the kind of girl to just sit there and take a beating.  She would keep fighting until she had no breath in her body and that was how it was.

His arms were roped in muscles and she took notice of that before he began to pummel her face.  She got her arms free and quickly began to block the ones that she could and took the ones that she couldn't.  At some point to surprise him she spit a wad of blood and spit right at his face.  It landed right on his nose, and a grin was quickly wiped off her face by a careful punch.  She landed a couple of punches of her own, heading for the soft tender and nerve ridden skin of his neck instead of his face.  Finally, she worked herself around enough that she was able to wrap her legs around his neck and began to squeeze.  The fact that she was so flexible was something that she utilized in many instances in life.  She could tell with the sudden shock in his face that he was starting to lose his air ways.  And in a final effort to take her down with him he began to apply pressure to her own wind pipe with his elbow.  She figured that since she started first he would go down first so she didn't bother letting up.

Finally, he gasped enough as the blackness began to impeded her vision, he asked if they could call it a draw.  Her eyes bore into his and finally she gave a subtle nod.  They both collapsed to the mat, him beside her just a couple feet away gasping for the air they had denied each other's lungs for a little while.  The medical team rushed in, there were cheers and there were disappointed sighs as there was no winner and the Romulan ale whether fake or not was not on the table any longer.  But, she was thankful for the fight.

The medical team worked on her worst injuries first.  Working on her broken ribs and her wind pipe.  They got rid of the swelling and fixed the wounds, but she was still covered in blood.  Getting up she brushed her hair out of her face and looked over at Thom who was coming over.  She gave a grin and stuck her hand out.  “Great fight.” she admitted and she reached out to shake her hand with his own.

“Could you not try to kill each other next time?” asked a medical officer.

“Nope, it's not a fight if there is no actual risk.” Zyrao said simply looking over at the medical officer a moment who grumbled something about officers and idiots and then headed off shaking his head.

Finally, the two were alone, the gym was deserted without a fight to watch everyone had pretty much gone on to do other things.  She looked over at Thom.  “I'm going to hit the showers.  You look like you could use one too.” she stated simply and turned to head for the showers.  Male, female, it didn't matter to her she had seen it and been seen by it all.  She was already pulling her tank top off as she walked.  The tons of tattoos and whip scars on her body were visible around her sports bra as she disappeared around the corner into the empty showers.  A moment later the water could be heard turning on.  Zyrao now stood naked underneath the stream of heated water that created a lovely steam in the bathroom filling up the tiled area around her while she stood underneath the stream letting the red water run down her body and down the drain thinking about the amazing fight she had.  Her first real fight since coming on board.

When she heard him coming into the shower a slow grin crossed her face.  “Thank you for the first real fight I have had since coming onto this ship.  Everyone here holds their punches.” she said brushing her hands through her hair to push the water through the short lengths.

With his nose fixed, the airflow was less hampered and he took in a good breath of air before he crawled up from the mat and stretched himself, a couple of joints cracked as his muscles still burned from the exertion. He marched over to Zyrao and held his hand out to her as she did the same and complimented him on the fight "Any time." he smiled before he looked atthe medical officer and let out a puff "Fuck off." he murmured between his teeth, granting him a few murmurs back from the medical officer yet he couldn't care less about it as he looked around. The gym slowly getting empty as everyone moved back out and Thom looked at his clothes as they were somewhat ripped and covered in blood.

The woman announced she'd head for the showers and pointed out he could use one too. He scoffed as he wiped his nose, the blood still fresh though the wounds had been tended too. His mouth still tasted like metal though and he looked up at Zyrao as she already began to undress before leaving the mat. Her body covered in a myriad of ink and scars as he followed her before she got out of sight. He began to laugh softly to himself as he looked down at his knuckles and remembered the events of earlier that day down on the planet. The guy would be dead if Zephyr and him didn't need to escape.

Zephyr.

His face scorned and he swallowed some of the blood before he walked over to the shower sections. The fight had been liberating, getting rid of the idea of the Betazoid love of his life. He had to move on, which usually meant getting drunk and ending up in a brawl before getting locked up in the brig. Yet with his rank that wasn't exactly a positive prospect. Plus he was doing things in the wrong direction now. Getting into a good fight first without the numbness of alcohol in his system. Perhaps that meant the brig sitting had been skipped?

He reached the showers and saw the steam heading out of one of the communal showers. The woman had turned to grin at him and thanked him for her first real fight aboard the ship. Ravon was smirking at the words and he shook his head "Well, in that case, I'd say it was my pleasure to make you hurt." he answered her as he had already got rid of the top part of his clothing. His bare chest on display as his eyes ran over Zyrao's nude form. Thomas wasn't shocked or afraid of nudity as the wolves had coed showers and lockers themselves. Thus he didn't hold back to slip out the rest of his clothes and tossed them to a replicator before letting it recycle.

He made his way over to her and he licked his lips, tasting dried up blood again before he came to stand next to her as the water began to spray down his form as well. An equal red stream forming down his skin and pooling at his feet before running to the nearest water disposer. He cleaned up his face first before he spat some water down to the floor and grinned "You know, I never caught your name before we started to spar... Lieutenant Commander Thomas Ravon, Lone Wolves leader." he introduced himself as he reached his hand out to her.

She liked a man that had the balls not to be afraid when a woman was naked.  Skin was skin and while some of it was decorated, or in her case most of it, there was no reason to think that nudity meant sex would happen.  While, she didn't mind sex, and actively sought it out from time to time when she had needs to meet she wasn't going to jump everyone that shared a shower room with her.  There had to be spark, chemistry, etc.  Not that she didn't feel that with the stranger it was just that she didn't even know him.  Other than beating each other's faces in they hadn't even been introduced.  Some light hearted taunting and they were done now.  She did get a bit turned on by a good fight, and so, she wouldn't have turned it down were it offered.  She supposed it had rubbed off on her while she was living as a Klingon.  But, right now, she wasn't going to push anything unless the man gave her signals that he, too, wished for something similar.

She grinned at his words.

“Somehow I think you needed a bit of pain in your day.  You kept coming back for more when others would have walked away.” she stated calmly as she grabbed the small nodule of soap in it's disintegrating packaging getting it wet in her hand the packaging dissolved into nothing and the soap was left in her hands.  It was plenty to lather up her body with which was always her first step after she got herself all wet.

He stepped into the steam as she began to wash off her shoulders and arms.  There was nothing sexual about it, it was a woman washing herself of the sweat and filth of fighting several men and actually getting hit by one.  She stepped back to make sure he had enough room anyway and continued to wash herself as he began to introduce himself.  His hand held out for her.  She finished soaping up.  Legs, ass, stomach, her neck, before she finally reached out and took his hand not one to waste her soap while she had it and was using it.

“Zyrao Natauna, former Klingon KDF strategist, now Klingon Liaison for the Theurgy.  Pleasure, Wolf Leader, I have a feeling you and I will be working in tandem from time to time with your wolves and my Klingon.”

Many of her tattoos were in various languages.  Thom could probably pick up the Klingon wording that populated her body.  There was also Cardassian, Breen, her own lovely El-Aurian, and some Kzinti.  There was no fleet standard, and there was nothing in English, everything was very alien on her body.  She grabbed another nodule, same process only this was filled with the shampoo and conditioner for her short hair.  She began to work it through her dark locks, her tattoos were everywhere becoming  more clear as the suds were washed away to the water disposal.  They were on her neck, her hands, her legs, arms, chest, breasts, back, ass, everywhere.  There was very little pale skin but there was enough to see her muscular tone.  She turned into the water her back to him.  There were scars all over her back, whip scars, if he could place them, criss-crossing her back in a quilt of scar tissue that she tried to hide underneath her tattoos but nothing could take away the rigidity of the tissue there.

“Would you care for a drink once we are liberated from the filth of our fight?” she asked him with her eyes closed and her face tilted up into the stream of water letting it cascade down her body.

"Some would call me suicidal I think, you have some pretty nasty moves." he complimented her, avoiding the part of why he kept coming at her and why he needed to feel the pain. He watched her lather herself in soap and his eyes moved over the tattoos, recognizing some of the words in their native language, yet unable to make out what they all meant. As Zyrao was soaping herself up, the water felt delightful against his skin. He made sure every inch of his body was wet before he stepped aside to use the soap himself in a similar fashion as Zyrao. The two sharing the same piece of soap and Ravon made no objection to doing so

Whilst Zyrao's form surely was nothing short of attractive, he figured that most men wouldn't even dare to come near her by just her ferocious look alone. Think away the scars and ink and you'd find a quite a beauty underneath. Surely it would be a woman Thomas wouldn't say no to. Though after battering away at one another, he wasn't exactly in that mood. To him, she still was a total stranger and he imagined it would be the same on her side.

She introduced herself and Ravon smirked "Oh, so you're the strategist I've heard so much buzzing about." he answered her "Left quite some impressions from what I've heard." he grinned as he was busy soaping up his chest, arms and abdomen. He started to work on his legs and groin before doing the same to his back before rinsing it off while Zyrao shampooed her hair "Looking forward to our further collaboration in the future miss Natauna."

Whilst Thomas just washed his hair with a bit of shampoo he heard the offer to grab a drink with her after they'd be done. He thought about the offer as he turned himself to her, looking over her back as she rinsed herself and tempted to reach out and trace the scars "Sure, I'm not one to turn down a drink after a good fight. Would you prefer a public setting or a more private one?" he asked her, coming to think where he could lead a civilian too aboard the ship. Below decks would do or alternatively he could lead her back to his quarters for a more private drink.

The fact was that Ravon wasn't sure if he would enjoy himself in a crowd. Sure he had fought off most of the anger and pent up rage inside of him, yet it would probably quickly build up once more in a public setting if his eyes caught on to things that would irritate him. Come to think of it, perhaps his quarters were the best setting in that case "Actually, would you like to join me in my quarters? For drinks and to get to know one another better. I mean, if we're to work closely together in the future, I want to know who I'm dealing with." he suggested as he rinsed himself off and stepped away to grab a pair of towels for the both of them. When Zyrao was done, he'd toss it over to her as he started to dry himself. His eyes moving over her unashamed again before looking back into her eyes.

“I find that a compliment, afterall, I have been hailed as suicidal my entire life for the things that I am willing to do because they need to be done.” she gave a shrug.  Zyrao did not think about her own safety as much as she thought about the job that needed to be done.  She supposed that she flirted with enough danger and pain that it was practically second nature at this point.  Something that she didn't feel was necessarily a good thing but she had numbed to the art of adventure and danger.  They were often the same thing for her since she tended to do what was necessary.  Time, skill, and sometimes sheer luck, kept her alive all these years.  She was just glad that she had survived this long, and she continued to live her life as it was meant to be lived; full force.

She did it with her fighting, with her flying, with her strategies, everything was full force.  Nothing held back, because then you only ended up with regrets.  She didn't deal in regrets, there was no future in harping on the past, and thus she tried to consistently put one boot in front of the other.  Taking her where fate and nature wished for her to go.  Each opportunity as it presented itself was weighed heavily and then decisions were made.  She looked at it from all the angles that she could think about, but, sometimes the decisions she made were still wrong.  Not everything could be right, but, she tried to live her life without regretting them for long.

“I am the one that people speak of.” she chuckled a bit darkly.  “I'm sure my reputation is a bit more than the live version, but, people like to talk.”

Though, most of what they would say was probably true.  She had done many things, said many things, and most of them were true and she would own to it if it was brought up.  She looked over at him with a bit of a smirk on her face and stepped out of the full fall of the water.  Grabbing at a fluffy towel that was emblazoned with the logo of the fleet she wrapped it around her slender, muscular, form and tucked it.  She waited for him to finish as well, since, they seemed to have plans for afterwards.  “I am certain our adventures will be interesting.” she said to his comment.

He wondered if they should go out to drink in public or private.  Her brow rose, she didn't really mind either way, but then, she was just ready to enjoy a drink.  And, the real stuff, not the synthanol that these people thought was important.  She supposed if you were on duty that was the way to go, but if she had no reason to expect to be called she would much prefer the kind of booze that made your throat hurt just inhaling the fumes from the top of the glass and seared the throat on the way down.  Before she could answer, he answered for the both of them stating he would prefer to drink in private where they could get to know  each other.

A knowing grin crossed her face.

“Wouldn't have it any other way, Wolf.” she stated.  The water shut off and the pair headed to the replicator.  She replicated herself a pair of loose fitted black pants and slipped them up over her hips not bothering with the unnecessary underwear.  She put on a black simple tank top with the KDF Logo next to the Fleet logo on the front in red.  Again, not bothering with the undergarments.  Using the towel she got most of the dampness out of her hair and then tossed it into the replicator to be recycled waiting for Ravon to finish getting himself dressed and ready.

Once he was all set, she stepped out with him and followed him outside the gym.  “Lead the way, I hope you have the good booze.  Or we will have to take a detour to get it from my Quarters.” she chuckled sticking her hands into the pockets of her pants while she walked very leisurely beside him.  She was very comfortable in her own skin, as was obvious, just in the way she moved.  An excellent fighter, a brilliant woman, and confident like no one's business.  She exuded it just in the mere way she walked and moved as they headed towards his place.

“Do you always fight so hard, or was today a special gift to me?” she asked as they walked a bit of a grin playing on her full lips.

Thomas couldn't help but laugh as Zyrao found being called suicidal to be a compliment. He could fully understand the need to do things regardless the cost. Hell, he'd probably be doing the same, along with some of his squadron. Of course some if not a lot of people disagreed with his life choices to live like that. Of course it made Thomas wonder how her strategies worked if she was in living it with the pedal to the metal.

"I suppose we'll have to see if you live up to that reputation." he teased her as he finished up himself under the water and stepped out. His body still somewhat achy from the fight, yet nothing too bad. He took a similar towel like Zyrao and began to dry himself off. He covered most areas and regardless left some areas less dry. He didn't mind to cover himself up as he walked over to the replicator to produce just a standard issue wolf squadron hoodie and a pair of sweatpants, both were comfortable though not too loose. He looked back at Zyrao as she changed herself, a grin on her face after suggesting to go to his quarters for a drink. They  both got dressed and Thomas couldn't help but smirk at the KDF logo before leading the way out of the gym.

"Good booze?" he asked her as he looked over his shoulder at her before slowing down so they could walk side by side "Not sure what you had in mind, but I wouldn't have it any other way." he chuckled as they left the gym and made their way over to one of the transporter rooms. It was quite a walk with a turbolift session as well.

Zyrao posed the question about the fight and Thomas glanced over to the relaxed El-Aurian besides him before shaking his head. He could see the grin on her face and he snorted "I usually hold my punches a bit to fellow crew members. Today, it felt good to let all of it go. To have a pure and real fight..." he answered her as they got in the lift. He thought his answer over before continuing "Today was.. I suppose a special gift for you." he grinned stupidly before shaking his head "I just had a really bad day... Really bad wouldn't be cutting it really, terrible.. Abysmal? Regardless, I needed to desperately blow off some steam. Luckily you were around to help me with that." he gave her a wink as the lift came to a stop and they walked over to the transport room. Ravon gave the destination for the both of them, which would be in front of his quarters.

The light enveloped them and seconds later they were before the SCO's den "What about you, do you always fight as ferocious?" Ravon wondered if Bila would be lounging around in his quarters still and he opened the door, seeing no sign of the Bajcardie just yet. He stepped further into his quarters which wasn't as tidy as it should've been for a room inspection from back in the days. Some PADDs were laying around, both his and Bila's probably and a few garments were left hanging over the seats. Ravon invited Zyrao in further and guided her to his bedroom as the living area might indeed be a tad too messy for them to sit in "Apologies for the mess, I rarely get any visitors besides a friend who's crashing here." he informed her, another reason why he preferred the bedroom over the living area. He didn't want to go over the trouble to explain Bila who Zyrao was or have him do his typical Bila actions. Not today at least.

The bedroom looked more tidy, his bed made up and an extra chair placed by one of the windows where the pilot would presumably sit while reading up on reports and what else. His workstation on the opposite side of his bed was logged off, the desk stacked with more PADD's. There wasn't a lot of decoration around and it seemed like to Wolf lived a sober life or at least so in the bedroom. The door behind them closed and Thomas walked over to his bed, he dropped down on his stomach and rummaged around, moving aside a few panels and things before he grinned and got up with a smile. He showed the still three quarters filled bottle of Draylaxian whiskey. He tossed the bottle over to the strategist so she could investigate it as he walked over to the replicator to produce two glasses for them.

After the glasses materialized he let Zyrao do the pouring after while he handed her one glass, taking the bottle in return and offering her a seat on either the bed or the chair by the window. He raised his glass to her "To new pains and broken bones."  he laughed as he toasted and took a good sip from the whiskey, feeling the burn down his throat as this stuff didn't even come close to the synthenol versions "So what drives a KDF strategist to come work with us? How does a girl like you come to work for the KDF in the first place?" he asked her curiously.

She had caught him on a bad day.  Her dark brow rose, but he didn't stop there so she didn't input her own assumptions.  He continued to speak about his day was worse than bad.  Terrible, abysmal, some other form of horrendous word that made it that much worse.  She gave a quick nod, her race was known as the Listeners and thus she was very adept at staying quiet and letting the others actually speak because they tended to pour their souls out to her without much effort.  She wasn't sure if she had some kind of feel to her that made people do that or if it was something else.  But, regardless of what it was, she was just glad to have the ability to allow people to open up.  It especially made her job that much better and easier when people readily told her their plans without her really having to dive into it hard.

“I can be around any time you need to blow some steam.” she winked with a bit of suggestion behind the words she doubted would be missed by the Fighter Pilot.

They road the lift upwards and came out in front of a door that was labeled 'The Den'.  It ws curious for her, honestly, because, she had never really expected them to truly embrace the Wolf mentality but then people were interesting creatures.  They liked to belong.  Too long alone and they started to deteriorate she had seen it many times over the course of her life.  Even when she was living her life as a slave she had seen people get together, rally together, form their little clubs and half-families so that they weren't alone.  People fell in love, fucked, and did whatever they could to retain as much of a semblance of reality as they could even in the depths of darkness.  She was quite different in that, she had seen all that she loved and cared about perish before her at the hand of the Borg.  Finding another of her kind was nearly impossible and she had hope when she came here, only to have it dashed.  She had stayed largely to herself, it was lonely, and it was hard, but as of yet no one had broken through the shield surrounding herself.  There were lovers, there was fucking, but the only person she had come to care about like family was Chloe and it was best if the girl did not follow her where she went.

“I do not half ass my fights.  I never have, even when I was back on my home world.” she admitted as she walked into the den with him.  “There is no reason to, if you fight with everything you've got you'll be better prepared to use that power when you actually need it.  I live life full force, never anything less.”  she admitted to him without explanation.

The room was a mess, and it bothered her very neat and militaristic sensibilities.  She wanted to fold and sort the clothing, pick up the mess, stack the PADDs and clean up the general clutter that lay about the abode.  She was unsure that she could stay in a room such as this without some much needed distraction.  She had lived with the Klingon but she did not keep her Quarters like a Klingon, those were kept pristine and in perfect condition she was almost obsessive about how she kept her place.  He lead her through the room and to another door which opened to a bed.  The tension that had built up in her shoulders slightly released at the sight of the room better kept.  Still, could be tidied by her standards it was nothing quite like the last one.  Perhaps his roommate is the messy one.

As if reading her mind he told her that he had a friend that was crashing there and apologized for the mess.  She gave a simple nod.  “I understand taking in the occasional stray.” she admitted as she stood inside his room.  Brushing a hand through her own hair for a moment she watched as he opened a cabinet and pulled out a bottle of some sort of brown liquid.  He held it up and replicated two glasses for them.  She gave a grin.  “Now, that's what I'm talking about.  Should we do this again, I will bring something from my own Quarters, well the ones down on the planet anyway.  I haven't been assigned here yet.  I'm nomadic at the moment.” she gave a bit of a shrug and a grin.

He plopped down on the edge of the bed and she crossed the room without any nerves and sat down beside him on the bed as he poured out the drink into the two glasses handing her one.  She was not a shy woman and sitting in the chair across the way would be something she could do if she wished to later.  For now, she didn't want to be across the room.  She held up her glass as he cheered.

“To actual fights and blood.” she grinned clinking her glass with his own before taking a sip.  She smiled a good smile meaning that she liked the taste and the burn of the booze.  He asked her how she came to be on the Theurgy and how she ended up working for the KDF to begin with.  A grin crossed her face again and she gave a sigh.

“You ask the big questions first I see, no foreplay with this one, just straight to the penetration.” she grinned over at him and took another sip.  She rose from the bed to walk around the room noting the lack of personal effects, he was greatly like her own self.  Other than her tea cup, tea collection, and her books, she didn't have much of anything she traveled with even when she could.  That had all blown up with the Hakkarl and was now gone.  She would have to start a new.  Part of it bothered her, mostly she mourned her tea that she had bought from all over the universe.

“I am working with you because my own ship was destroyed from the Moon Base through my Captain's own increasing talent for sheer stupidity.  I was down on the Base with some of the others from my crew, the choice was wrong to fight with the Theurgy, so instead, I assisted the Theurgy crew members so that they not only survived but were able to accomplish their goal.” she admitted, leaving out a little bit of the story but getting the heart of it.

“As for a girl like me.  I would like to remind you I am very much a woman.” she looked over her shoulder and shot him a grin that was a little bit more than suggestive.  “However, I came to be part of the Klingon some decade ago, when I was rescued by them.  I was Cardassian property, who then gained trust by saving the life of a young boy who was held hostage.  That boy grew up wishing for my assistance.  While on the ship with him we were boarded by the Klingon.  I was able to stay alive and earn the respect from them.  I made myself useful and was hired and trusted by the Captain of that vessel and others in the future.”

She turned back to him leaning against the wall beside the door sipping at her drink.  Those lovely but deadly grey eyes locking onto the man still perched on his bed.  “And you, how did you come to be on board the Theurgy and the leader of the Wolf Pack?  Also, what made your day so abysmal?” she asked him curiously.  Then grinned.  “I suppose verbal foreplay is not my strong suit either.”

Her suggestion to be around whenever he had to blow of some steam made the pilot laugh a little "Sure, I'll dial you up whenever I need to bash someone's face in." he winked back at her "Or for something else entirely perhaps?" he teased her as they rode the lift up to his quarters. He listened to her view on fights, how one could never fight while holding back. Thomas could relate to that quote, yet he figured it could be nuanced at some point. Though it seemed like Zyrao did live her life full force, regardless.

The comment of taking in strays made Thomas chuckle. The idea as Bila as a stray dog amused him, wondering in the Bajcardie would think the same when he explained it to him. He probably wouldn't, but hell, did Thomas really care at that point? The eyes of the pilot glanced over the woman from time to time as she looked around in his room and eventually came to sit besides him on the bed. He found it interesting that she hadn't been assigned any quarters yet and as he filled the glass and handed it over to her he answered "Perhaps I can see to expedite the matter for your quarters." He probably could and it would only take a moment with the quartermaster to handle the issue. However, Thomas couldn't help but wonder which booze she had down on the planet, or how her place looked down on the planet for that matter.

They toasted and clinked their glasses before consuming the alcoholic beverage. It was the perfect kind of drink after a good fight really as it numbed the still sore spots slightly and simply relaxed everything else. Ravon looked back to the woman besides him as he had asked her how she had come to be where they were. Her response eliciting a laugh from the pilot as he shook his head without actually answering her and taking another sip from the glass. His eyes followed her as she started to waltz around in his room, giving him a proper answer which left him thinking a little and laughing.

Getting some insight in the past of Zyrao was useful, though it raised more questions at some point then answers. How did she become Cardassian property? Where did she learn her strategic skills? Was she easily turned in hindsight of the Klingon failure on the moonbase, where she defected to the Theurgy? Thomas felt the question burn on his tongue though he boded his time for now.

Zyrao asked questions of her own now and Thomas couldn't help but smirk "A woman that doesn't enjoy foreplay? Peculiar." he teased her with a wink before he stood up and walked over to the chair in the corner of his room, walking around the bed while he talked "I was a new asset for the ship when it left Earth. Part of the program with the new fighters we now use on a daily basis. We fought many strange battles against superior foes, in one of them I went missing... Stranded on a planetoid after crash landing. I managed to fix the bird with some parts of the enemy ships and returned into the fray. Though when I returned our SCO had been presumed KIA, I was the highest in rank and assigned to the position. Since that moment on, I've been in charge of this merry band of wolves." he grinned.

He paused and came to a stop by the window looking out of his quarters down to the Aldean planet. The question why his day had been so abysmal was another piece of work altogether. He weighed his words and eventually started talking "I decided to jump down to the planet with an old friend of mine. Help her with a trivial task at first sight. We hadn't talked in years, we were close back in the day." he smiled faintly as his eyes stared down at the planet "While doing our work at the outskirts we got ambushed by thugs, pirates... Taken hostage, broke free in the end though, but we had to show our true natures to one another. Learn some ugly truths about one another." he could feel the surge of rage stirring inside him once more "I'm not sure where it leaves us after the event. I'm not sure I can look her in the eye anymore..." he broke away from the window and looked at Zyrao "It was..." pausing as he noticed the past tense he was using "Lets say I was in need to vent out some issues after that, hence the gym." he smiled faintly.

He downed the rest of his glass and his face turned sour slightly as the burn was felt all the way down his throat and stomach. He looked over to Zy's glass and took the bottle "Refill?" he suggested to her as he did fill his own glass "How did you manage to get a property down on that rock in the first place?" Thomas asked now "And where did you get your strategist training? I mean, it sounds like you've been in a rough spot and judging by the ink on your skin, I'm pretty sure that wasn't the only rough batch you've been through." he furthered his query as he came to lean against the wall opposite of her, next to the door that would lead to his bathroom section.

Her brow rose at his offer.  To assist her in getting assigned a Quarters would be quite nice of him and something he didn't have to do.  He didn't owe her anything and didn't even really know her yet.  However, she found herself really wanting that space of her own.  Even if it had to be shared because of her civilian status or whatever it may be, she wished heavily for a space that she could call her own especially before the Theurgy headed off again.  Being a rogue was fine and all but she grew tired of wishing for people to open their Quarters or shuttles to her, instead, she wished for a place that when she sought solitude she could find it there among her own things.

“I would appreciate that, actually.”

She hoped that he wasn't cliche enough to tell her that she could show her appreciation in a multitude of ways, as she tired of the male stereo type that turned everything into a sexual innuendo.  Finding it the most childish of humor and preferring that two adults could just have a conversation without having to turn everything into an egg-shell walk of epic proportions.

“Ah, ah” she warned wagging her finger at him, a grin playing upon her lips a moment.  “I said verbal foreplay, the art of the tongue down below is something I can very much get behind.” she winked over at him.  She had no idea if he was taken, or not, and she was not in the place to ask at this moment.  Though she hadn't had a good amount of fun in a few days she wasn't actively searching.  Sometimes she did, and it would be a one and done kind of thing, but Zyrao found herself almost wanting something that could develop long term.  Whether it did or didn't really didn't matter, just the opportunity for such a thing intrigued her.  Perhaps I am getting old, finally.

He described his own coming on board the ship, that he was here when the ship left for Earth and the start of the fighter program that they still use.  Her brows rose as she listened to him talk of his job and how they had been able to do great things with the fighters.  She thought that any ship this size that collected danger as a grotesque habit like the Theurgy did, ought to have it's own armament enforce.  Luckily, he seemed to work his fighters well, and she had seen them in action and helped direct them when she was on the Bridge with Jennifer during the large battle towards the end before Ives returned to their ship.  When they were still battling against the Borg and hoping against all hope that they would survive another run in.

“You and your team play a crucial role on the ship.  One I assume I will be working closely with from time to time with my own position on board the ship now.” she said calmly.

He was looking out the window now, and Zyrao knew that he was thinking.  Likely about how much he wanted to answer her question, if at all.  Or what kind of details he wanted to give her.  Zyrao was adept at reading body language and facial expressions.  She hadn't gone as far as she had without being really talented and so she was watching the tension in his body, the swallowing movements of his jaw, the way that it seemed he was clenching them for a moment.  This was more than just a 'friend on a planet' type thing, it was something completely deeper than that.  If she had to guess, there was likely a female involved.  But, she couldn't be sure as she had only just met Thomas Ravon.  The longer she knew someone the better she would be at picking out their small ticks.

She was right, about the female, that became evident later when he stated he wasn't sure that he could look her in the face any longer.  So he had gone to the gym to blow off some steam, on her face, and then receive some of her own steam.  Give and take, it was the beautiful start to their friendship.  Sipping her drink she tilted her head to the side for a moment.

“One does not usually stop caring about someone they knew and cared for back in the day despite rash decisions.  I would think, given time for you two to cool down, a good conversation could go a long way.  It will largely depend on yours, and her, desire for resolution.”

He asked her if she wanted a refill and she held her glass out for him.  “Keep them coming, no need to ask, this is going to get heavy.” she chuckled as he filled his glass and his own.  She stayed on the wall and watched how he leaned against a wall close but not too close.  She watched him with her dark grey eyes as she sipped more of the booze that he had poured in her glass.  He started with a very tame question which honestly surprised her.  Because, they had proven they didn't hold punches verbal or actual.  She had a feeling he would let a hammer fall on her later when he found his testicles again.

“Well I was previously with the Klingon Defense Force as their strategist, and thus, we came here often for various things.  I rented an apartment down on the planet it is the closest approximation to a home, without really considering it that.” she admitted with a shrug.  Home was and would always be, El-Auria.

Then he found those hairy balls of his and she grinned.  “wondered when you were going to stop asking the shit questions.  I was in the El-Aurian Defense Corp.  I have been a solider since I was eighteen years old, and you probably don't want to know how many years ago that was.” she chuckled, some people were uncomfortable with her age, others didn't care, and she was not shy about it herself.  You were only as old as you felt, age was a number, and all of that.

Thomas had mentioned her skin and she gave a quick nod.  “It has not been the easiest road, no.” she described herself very lightly.  “Through it, I have become myself.  So I began on El-Auria, and I used the knowledge when I was enslaved some while later.  I earned my freedom through various means, a few times, before ending up with the Klingon and becoming one of them until recently.” she gave a bit of a shrug and downed the rest of her glass of booze, holding it out for another fill up.

“So this lady of yours, the one that you can't show your face in front of any longer.  I am assuming this concerns matters of a young heart?”

Zyrao mentioned that she'd appreciate him helping her get assigned to quarters of her own "Oh, don't mention it. I need one roomie to boot out of my own quarters. So call it catching two flies with one stone." he smirked "Besides, I assume we need to keep our strategist happy if we want solid advice." he joked as he sipped from his glass once more, enjoying the burn again as the contents rushed down to his stomach.

Her comment about being eaten out made the pilot laugh as he raised his glass "See... I've never seen one call it the art of the tongue below. Must be a strategist thing to pick those words so carefully." he told her teasingly before he shook his head "That aside that artform is quite enjoyable for both parties I'd if conducted properly." he grinned before returning to the story of him joining the Theurgy.

He hadn't expected Zyrao to give him advice about him and Zephyr as he stared down to the planet. His head shifting slightly to offer her his ear and attention, yet his gaze didn't meet hers. It was decent advice, yet Ravon wasn't sure if it was the words he wanted to hear now, that he needed to hear. He pushed past it and as Zyrao passed her glass up for a refill, the pilot could only smirk once more.

She challenged him in a verbal sense as she called out his choice for shit questions. His eyes came back to her, resting on her features as he listened to her. He had heard about the El-Aurians yet never really knew much about them. He listened with care and attention to her words as she talked about her time in the defense force and after that when she was enslaved. It was interesting to hear how her skill set evolved and shaped her to the person she was right now. It was something Thomas could respect really, being forged by the curve balls life gave you. When she was done talking she offered her glass out to him and Ravon nodded to the bottle that he had placed by the bedside "Feel free to refill at your own convenience." he smiled faintly.

She cut back into the topic of Zephyr it seemed and Thomas sighed before shrugging "Matters of a young heart... How old exactly are you? I mean you sound like a ancient shaman at times." he snorted as he wanted to provoke her, yet laughed as it was just a way to pester her. Alternatively, it seemed like he tried to bounce away from the topic, yet it was futile "I suppose you can call it that though." he answered her after a few moments.

"She was... Is... Has been my first love. That first lover that just conquers your heart." he said softly, a slight tinge of bitterness in it "It consumes you, clouds your decisions..." he smiled as he shook his head. He shrugged as he looked back into Zyrao's eyes "Either way, it's a topic I don't exactly feel like delving into much more right now. Not unless you want to reshape this bedroom into a bloody mess and get a new scolding by the medical officers." he laughed.

Despite his effort to wave it off, Zyrao could notice just by his body alone that his muscles coiled up and tensed up once more. The topic still a sore subject for him and certainly one that he couldn't exactly think rationally about. It still enraged him, infuriated him and it would drive him to that aggressive anger that boiled within. Thus the pilot asked a new question to Zyrao "How exactly did you end up enslaved? I saw various languages on your skin under the shower. It must've been more than just once I assume?" It wasn't the lightest topic to slice into, though anything would to get his thoughts away from Zephyr.

[Zyrao Natauna | Drinks for the Soul | A Road Less Traveled | Refill 30 | Ancient Souls – Ancient Wisdom]
@Nolan

Zyrao, pushed off the wall and crossed the room to where the bedside table stood holding their bottle of liquor.  Picking up the cool glass by the neck of the bottle she turned it over and let the amber liquor fill up her glass all the way to the top just shy of the rim.  No use in wasting perfectly good alcohol all over the floor.  No, she was definitely not in that kind of a frame of mind though later when she could no longer control her muscles as easily because she had gone too far down the bottom of a bottle she would not mourn the loss of the liquor but for now she would be careful.  With the full glass she took a sip off the top while he spoke of her linguistic gifts.  She offered a smile that even touched those shocking grey eyes of hers over the top of her glass.

“I have many gifts, Thomas, perhaps one day you can be introduced to a few.” a little suggestive wink before she crossed back to her spot on the wall which had cooled in the time she had gone. The cool metal against her scarred and decorated skin felt pleasurable again, though momentary, as she found her comfortable leaning position and relaxed.

She chuckled playfully when he asked how old she was, stating she sounded like a shaman sometimes.  “You're not incorrect, though Humans often assume that I am embarrassed by the number of years I have been alive.  Not realizing that each and every one has lead to the person I am today.  I get asked after my age a lot, as though, perhaps I should be ashamed.  That, or perhaps they just are curious as to the secrets of my race.” she grinned.  “To answer, I am two hundred and eighteen years.”

Zyrao was not like the Humans, who she had come to realize seemed to think the higher in age you were the less use you had in life.  You were more feeble, less likely to accomplish your tasks, and therefore you were not as needed as the younger generations.  However, she found that the elder Humans had a lot of wisdom to give and the younger deemed them stupid and feeble minded.  It was a sadness to be so consumed with a number instead of the person behind it.

The girl, was his first love, and judging by his face one he had never given up on.  She felt for him, though she had only known true love once and had never had the balls to tell the man at the time.  She hadn't found it again, and though she hadn't exactly put herself or been in the situation to really look.  She had played around here and there where it suited her, or when it would benefit her, but as to the heart, It had never actually pushed forward to anything other than a mutual need to scratch an itch.    She noticed the more he spoke of the woman, the more his body tensed.  The muscles in his arms, his neck, his chest began to tighten even as he told her it was something that he didn't want to dive into right now.  She gave a simple nod, and filed all his reactions away for later.  Zyrao didn't miss much of anything and she didn't forget.  Especially, if she and Thomas would be working closely to each other, she wondered if this woman would be around a lot when they were working or if she was delegated to another portion of the ship.  But, now was not the time to inquire.

He turned to her and asked her how she ended up enslaved.  A bit of a grin played across her lips.  “Touche.” she said knowing that he had probably picked his topic because of the one she, herself, had chosen.  She tossed back the rest of the alcohol emptying the glass and putting it on the desk nearby as she crossed over to where he stood pacing ad reached out catching his hand.  “Go sit.” she nodded to the bed her eyes left little room for discussion.

Once he sat she kicked off her boots closer towards the door and mounted the bed.  She might be slender, but she had a wealth of muscle under her decorated skin, and thus she made the bed move with her weight as she knelt behind him.  Her calloused hands reached up and began to work into his shoulders, thumbs and fingers working to relax the muscles that she had tensed up because of the conversation topics that she chose.  But, she wasn't one to hold punches.

“When El-Auria was attacked and I lost my planet to the fucking Borg, we refugees boarded whatever vessels worked and were still available.  I and my team, what was left of it, boarded whatever we could find and were the last off the planet.  For a while we were fine, there was food, water, even though there was no room.  Hope was still alive, we could find out people, we were alive.  For days we floated and hoped for rescue, and hoped the Borg did not locate us, and they never did.  However, a Kzinti ship found us.  We thought we were rescued, but they made sure quickly, we knew other wise.  Thus began my first tenure with slavery.”

She decided to tell him more, since, she was on a roll and his muscles were beginning to relax underneath her expert hands.  “There I was seen for my gifts of tactical prowess and strength.  I was thrust into a ring to compete for my life over and over again.  Against various races, beasts, and what not from around the universe.  I was good at it, and every single time I won, I received a tattoo.  Not all of them are from Kzinti, though, many are Cardassi, there are some Breen, I was a slave on both of those as well.  Some are my own choosing, and many are Klingon, though I was free when I was with the Klingon.” she stated calmly her hands working down his shoulders towards his upper back now.

“I suppose that explains the scarring on my back as well, in one miraculous story.” she chuckled.  “You are from Earth?” she inquired.

[ Thomas Ravon | SCO quarters | Deck 08 | Vector 02 | USS Theurgy ] @BZ

It had been some time since Thomas had met someone like Zyrao. Sure he had talks and run ins with other crew, though after he was promoted to being the pack leader it felt different. As if people weren't as open to him as before, when he was just a wolf inside the pack. Perhaps it came with the rank and territory, the whole shenanigans about being lonely at the top. Zyrao on the other hand simply didn't give a fuck about his rank or position. She was different in that aspect and not in a bad way.

She did walk around the question as he had asked about her age and Thomas couldn't help but grin as he still walked through the room. "Call it curiosity on my end." Thomas answered to pry for the answer even more and when Zyrao revealed her age the pilot couldn't help but chuckle lightly "You know, to human standards, I must admit you're really well preserved." he teased her before smirking "How old does an El Aurian become naturally? I mean, two hundred years is quite a while, things must've changed over time, or remained the same as people say nothing really changes as history repeats itself time over time." He awaited her answer before nodding.

Whilst Zyrao had refilled her glass, Thomas had not. It wasn't because he couldn't handle the alcohol, it was more because he didn't feel like it. Especially not after talking about Zephyr. His mindset had switched entirely really now and he was second guessing some of his choices. It was far too late to get back on those though and it was only when Zyrao stood before him that he got brought back to the here and now. He had asked her a question, though his mind was restless. Zyrao seemingly had picked up on it perhaps as she rather authoritatively told him to go sit on his bed. The pilot cocked his head slightly, unsure what she wanted to reach yet complied as he sat down and stared at the wall in front of him. The grey eyes of the El Aurian were pretty adamant on the suggestion.

He could feel the bed sink in with the weight of the strategist as she began her tale. His body slightly tensing up at her touch as she began to knead the tensed muscles. He listened to her tale about how she had fled El-Auria and how the Kzinti found them. Thomas didn't pose any further questions as he just listened to the story and how it shaped the woman behind him. His muscles relaxed though there were still a few pressure points left. He tried to look at Zyrao over his shoulder as he did feel like his body temperature was picking up. Perhaps because of the massage he was receiving or perhaps it was the alcohol setting in. Zyrao didn't seem like the woman to shy away from nudity as they had showered together it wasn't really like she hadn't seen all of him before. Thus he informed her "Just getting rid of this, obstructs your deft fingers and it's just to fucking warm in here." He didn't have another angle to it really as he just wanted to feel more comfortable, so he removed the garment and stretched a little before looking over his shoulder to Zyrao "Can I return the favor of loosening up your muscles?" he offered her with a grin.

Depending on the answer, Thomas turned around and either just faced Zyrao or simply began to put his strong hands to work against the Al-Aurians neck and shoulders. In the meantime he replied to her question "I'm human, though not from Earth." he started "My parents were aboard a black ops ship, I was born there though the ship was destroyed and I was jettisoned out with an escape pod together with some of the medical staff. We were picked up and brought to a Starbase where I spent my childhood and young adolescence. Only learned about the truth of my parents at the age fifteen. I was a fucking shit back then... Got placed in a Federation educational program and when I was old enough I went to Earth for the first time. Completed my training there and specialized."

Ravon's eyes moved over the El Aurian, still taking in the ink work and the muscles "Anyway.... I stood my ground against a gladiatrix that was mostly undefeated?" he teased her as he smirked "How did you get out of the fighting pits? I doubt people would give up on their reigning winner just like that?" he inquired further now, somewhat intrigued by the El-Aurian's story.

[Zyrao Natauna | Relaxation | Muscle Groups Above the Belt | Feeling Each Other Out]
@Nolan

She gave a bit of a grin at his commentary of her being well preserved.  A bit of a flirty and yet somehow seductive wink shot across the room to him.  Of course, she found him rather attractive but she understood that the matters of his heart were those that were clouded in the pain of what had transpired between him and the young woman.  Whatever it was that caused him to take his anger out on her face was what needed to be healed and only time could heal those wounds. It would happen, it always did, time and distance healed most wounds, Zyrao had found over the course of her life.  But, forcing it would do neither of them any favors and she had a feeling that he was mourning the friendship that was lost as well as the potential love.  Still, she hoped that he could see the merit in keeping the girl in his life even if it was not exactly how he wished it.  True friendship, true loyalty, was not always a gift given.

“El-Aurians are often considered immortal.  We aren't, however, by human standards we might as well be.  I have seen some, on my old planet, that were over seven hundred.  It just depends.  Myself, I doubt I'll last that long, I'm not particularly shy about throwing myself full force into battle.” she chuckled a bit and gave a bit of a shrug of her muscular shoulders.  She was surprised, often, that she had lived as long as she had already.

He mentioned the human verbiage of history repeating itself.  She had read about this term here and there through out time in various books and the like.  About how nothing truly changes, but instead of changing, history just repeated itself and it was on some sort of cyclical pattern.  Her brow rose and she thought about the true meaning of the phrase before she deigned it an answer.  “Truthfully, I am uncertain, I think perhaps if it was time spent with a singular race I could give more of a hypothesis on that nature.  But, I have traveled too much of the universe and have yet to see anything truly repeat.  Though many veins of history are common.” she admitted.

Her rough calloused hands worked through his muscles easing the knots in his neck and shoulders trying to get some of the tension of his body.  He would sleep better, rest better, and be more himself if she could just release some of the tension he held in his body.  He eventually looked at her and mentioned something about getting rid of obstructions, the grin and chuckle were his answer, as she removed her hands so that he could remove the shirt and toss it to the side.  Once it was gone she went back to work and it was far easier now to work his skin since she didn't have to worry about the tshirt fabric making it complicated.

At one point he asked if he could return the favor and her eyes met his for a moment.  The grin said he might have something else in mind, but honestly, she wasn't so sure since he was still hung up on his old flame.  Still, she pulled back removed the tank top off of her body and tossed it over to the corner of the bed before she turned so that he could get after her neck and shoulders.  Her hair was short and it didn't need to be moved or anything because of that hair do so that just made it that much easier.  As his thumbs and fingers kneaded into her shoulders and neck, her eyes closed.  There was something nice about a true massage, it was hard to find a man that was actually good with his fingers.  Most of them used it as shit foreplay and it was just disappointing on both ends.

He began to speak about himself, how he was human,  yet not from Earth.  He mentioned about his parents, and how the ship was destroyed.  As a last effort he was sent out in an escape pod and raised by someone else.  He didn't find out the truth until he was a man, and then he got into the Starfleet Educational programs, from there, she could assume he had gotten up to where he was now.  Zyrao listened as he pinged her a little about how she got out of the fighting rings.  A smile crossed her face and her eyes slid open the grey orbs shifting upwards as her head tilted on it's axis to take him in sitting a bit above and behind her.

“The art of seduction, of course.  It took time, to earn the trust of a Kzin.  Didn't take much to get them to want to fuck you, that was pretty much par for the course.  But, to get the trust, that took years.  Years that are written in ink on my body.  The guard began to fall asleep in my presence, and for months I made sure that he woke up completely fine.  With everything he had come with, never once giving any thought to what I might do.  But one night, I stole his keys, liberated myself, and others from the pits.  Every man for themselves, I got on a ship and got off the planet as fast as I could.  Hoping to put all of that business behind me once and for all.  As you can see, that wasn't the case.”  she motioned to the body of scars and ink.

“The next were the Breen, and then the Cardasi.  I've been around a little.”  she dropped her head back to it's normal position.  "Do I intimidate you?  I find that I do that a lot on this ship, it's rather frustrating, and yet, it can be enjoyable at the same time."

Whilst her wink would be considered seductive and he'd probably be open for such a thing, Ravon couldn't really feel any different about it. Not because Zyrao wasn't his type of girl or anything, but simply because his heart was not in the right place for any of it. Even the suggestion to return the favor and massage her neck and shoulders came purely out of a non sexual idea. Zephyr was still fresh in his mind and in his heart. Perhaps time would mend wounds as so many told him before, yet time was perhaps that one thing that he didn't have in his line of work.

Zyrao mentioned immortality and Ravon had cocked his head slightly at the phrase. He could understand that her 'wild' lifestyle had prevented her to truly observe a civilization to see if it would fall into an endless cycle of recurring events. Perhaps the saying held only a part of the truth as she did admit that some things were rather common. His eyes lingered on her back as she removed her tank top and discarded it to the corner of his bed. He queued a question about why she kept the scars, though he figured the reply would be similar to why he kept some of his.

His fingers sought out the bundled nerves and muscles in the meantime, assaulting them to ease up under his touch while he talked about his past. His mind wandered while he talked, yet it didn't go to anywhere specific. If anything it was absent minded for a bit before he brought up the question to how she got out of the fighting rings. He could barely catch the grey of her eyes as she explained the art of seduction. The pilot couldn't help but chuckle a little, though in essence it was a tragic story. She motioned to the scars and ink, Ravon slowly finishing up on her neck as he traced his fingertips over the tattoos and scars, careful, yet curious. Some might consider it intimate to touch a person in the way he did, yet his mind wasn't anywhere near that train of thought.

"The scars... I assume you keep them like I do with mine? To remind you of what you've been through and survived." he emphasized survived in that sentence as they both were the product of a crazy, wild and dangerous lifestyle. Perhaps Zyrao a bit more than Thomas as she was around for a good six more centuries in comparison to the human pilot. He watched her bring her head back to a normal position as he left her scars for what they were and began to work her shoulders again. Her question made him smile a little and he thought for a second about his answer.

"Intimidating... Depends." he answered her truthfully "At first sight you truly are perhaps, with the inkwork, the muscular shape, the general attitude around you and the fact that you transferred from a Klingon ship." he explained "I mean, I don't think I've seen anyone like you aboard our ship since we left Earth... So I can understand why people aboard this ship don't want to get in your way." he concluded before adding "Personally though, the bad ass attitude and daunting demeanor is what got me to step into that sparring ring with you in the first place. Call me crazy, but I suppose I always look for things that are out of the ordinary... To explore things that perhaps aren't meant to be explored." His fingers pushing harder into the muscles to really get them loose "Why do you ask?" he bounced the question back to her "You don't strike like the person to care what others would think about you. More over, you should be aware that living your life full force will mean people will sometimes come to fear you."

He slowly moved his hands off her shoulders now so that she could turn to face him once more. Not that he didn't enjoy massaging her, though he preferred to look his partners in the eyes when talking. He waited for her response before gazing into those grey eyes "Honestly though, I find it refreshing to have you aboard. At least I'll be sure that when I talk to you there won't be any bullshit or hidden agenda. Then again... You are a strategist... Scheming and what not." he winked at her teasingly. Trying to lure her out to do something as he was curious how she'd react to it.

[Zyrao Natauna | An Actual Massage | Touching the Past | Continuing to Write the Future | Never Forget]
@Nolan

His fingers were good as they dove into the tense muscles around her shoulders and neck.  Zyrao felt her eyes slide closed as she forced her body to relax a little bit.  She highly doubted that he was there to attack her and even if he was, she was pretty sure she could handle it again if he was ready for round two.  Though, his hands proved to be good at their job, she supposed that the strength in his arms and the job that he had made him really good with such things.  He was working out knots and soreness she hadn't even realized were there.  When you lived as long as she had carrying around the stresses of yesterday there were times the ache just became part of the every day.  She could feel the way that his hands were making short work of the ache and pulling it out.  She would be far too relaxed after this.

He mentioned her scars, asking if she kept them around for the same reason he kept his, to remember his past.  She thought about the answer for a moment, unsure of what to say, at first.  “Yes, and no.” she said softly, her voice was not uncertain or weak, it was just relaxed for the moment.  “I keep them, because initially I was in no place to get them healed, and then by the time I had liberated myself from slavery of any kind all together.  They were a part of me, I would feel strange if they were gone as though part of myself was gone.” she admitted.

He claimed he could see where other people would think she was intimidating listing off her personality and the way she carried herself as reasons for it.  He then admitted that the complete package was what made him jump in the ring with her, a grin crossed her face.  Truth of the matter was, she probably would have done the same thing if she had seen him cleaning up the ring in the first place.  She enjoyed a challenge and a decent fight.  She didn't mind the pain that came from a great fight it was being alive and it was pushing through all of that, feeling the chemicals pumping through your veins keeping you going as you fought for your life.  It was one of the things she had gotten used to doing while she lived with the Klingon.  Zyrao had never backed down from a fight, it wasn't her way, and likely wouldn't ever be.

“Things meant to be explored?” she inquired with a bit of a chuckle, his wording choices entertained her from time to time.  He reminded her that she didn't seem like the kind of person that would care whether people thought she was intimidating or not.  That she lived her life full force and didn't care what other people thought.  “You're right, I actually do not care one way or the other.  I just have lived with the Klingon for so long that my ways were always accepted.  I suppose it's slightly a culture shock on the Theurgy.” she admitted.  “I do not mind though, they will either accept me or they won't.  I have a job and soon a place to live, I need nothing more than that.”

His hands fell from her shoulders and she twisted so that they could see each other again.  Her eyes, grey and curious, found his own watching her.  Talking about how he was he glad she had come on board because there would be zero bullshit when it came to her.  Though with her being a strategist there could be scheming and such.  A chuckle came from her throat a moment and she moved quickly so that she could knock him down on his back on the bed with her leaning over him.  Still topless but it didn't seem to bother her in the least.  Her hand rose up his chest and circled around his neck with her thumb on one side and the other fingers on the other.  She didn't squeeze, no, instead she used that thumb to stroke across his neck flesh teasingly.  Her eyes locked on his.

“You shouldn't taunt me.” she grinned as her hand slid away from his neck and up through his short hair before she rolled off of him and lay on her back on the bed looking up at the boring ceiling.  “I think it's probably time I head to find a place to sleep for the night.  Otherwise, I will take up half your bed.” she grinned as she sat up and saw her shirt on the floor.  Getting up she bent down to retrieve it and slide it smoothly down over her frame.  She turned to look at Thomas.

“I had a good time, tonight though, and I do hope to find you in the future on this ship.”  there was a little suggestion in her voice, for when he got over the nameless girl in his heart.  No, she wasn't geared up to be the rebound, and she certainly wasn't going to be the one he used to make the other jealous.  That wasn't something she was interested in, but something real, she was open to.

[ Thomas Ravon | SCO quarters | Deck 08 | Vector 02 | USS Theurgy ] @BZ

The reason she gave for keeping her scars were not what he had expected, though he could understand why. It sounded somewhat logical even. His fingers kept moving over her skin, working in on the bundles of muscles underneath. As she called him out on his choice of words of exploration, he snickered and nodded, yet never really delved deeper into what he meant. She confirmed his suspicions of not really caring what anyone else would think of her. She did perhaps have a somewhat rigid thought pattern, he thought to himself as he looked at her as she concluded that once she got a bunk and job to do that she'd need nothing more then that.

The reaction he provoked out of Zyrao was not what he expected as she came on top of him, Ravon let himself drop down on his bed as he felt the hands of the woman run up his chest before having them constrict the space around his neck. Her thumbs teasing his skin as he looked her straight in the eyes. She didn't squeeze down, so there was no reason to try and topple her off him, or to start a new fist fight for that reason. The grin on Ravon's face was priceless though as he kept his eyes trained on her. Even though she was topless, his eyes didn't even drop down to look at her breasts. He was used to nudity, a breast or a patch of skin wouldn't bring his attention of the eyes of the strategist. His hands ran over her ribcage, coming to rest just under the part where they stopped protecting. The soft area where punches would always hurt, even more so the day after.

She warned him not to taunt her and with that she ruffled through his hair before rolling off him. Thomas couldn't help but laugh at the words and shook his head a little "But taunting is the most fun part there is." he answered her as he turned his head over to her. Her words making him nod again as he sat up, watching her slip the top back on. He was tempted to invite her to stay over, no strings attached, just a place for her to sleep. However he already had taken a stray in under the form of Izar Bila. He figured the scaly bastard would start another wall of complaints to him in the morning otherwise. On the other side, Zyrao was a fun girl, yet this close after Zephyr, he didn't exactly have the correct mindset to explore anything with her.

His eyes met hers as he smiled faintly "I'm rather confident our paths will cross in the future." he stated to her with a glint in his eyes "If not, I'll just ransack a few guys in the sparring ring until a more suitable opponent arrives." he stood up, not bothering to dress himself again as he walked over to her. "You do have a temporary place to stay right?" he inquired her, if not he'd pull some strings to get her a decent bunk for at least the night. If anything he could offer her another part of the couch which Bila didn't occupy. It was the least he could do for a woman like her. A woman who had managed to beat the thought of Zephyr Praise out of his mind for a good portion of the evening. Zyrao simply replied that she would find a spot and not to worry. She had slept in worse places. It caused the SCO to chuckle and nod before he waved her goodbye.
