The USS Rapier was a Federation Saber class starship operated by Starfleet in the 2370’s. Petty Officer First Class Aisha S'Iti was assigned to the Rapier in 2375 where she spent the next three years working her way up to the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. The USS Rapier was equipped with four Talon class Scouts stored in the forward bay.
In 2378 the Rapier was recalled to the Sol system after the discovery of an opening transwarp conduit less than one light year from Earth. Upon the emergence of a large Borg sphere the Rapier engaged the sphere along with 25 other ships as part of this emergency fleet. To the fleet's surprise the sphere detonated from the inside and the previously lost USS Voyager flew out of the debris.
