The USS Drake was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet.
In 2364, this light cruiser was under the command of Captain Paul Rice. Later that year, the Drake was sent to Minos on a mission to investigate the disappearance of the Minosians and was destroyed by an ancient, advanced weapons system called Echo Papa 607. (TNG: "The Arsenal of Freedom") (Source: Memory Alpha)
Anna McConnell was one of the officers lost aboard the Drake. Her eleven year old son Garen Nelis was living on Betazed at the time.
(It is not been revealed what class of starship the USS Drake was, but it was smaller and less prestigious than a Galaxy class.)
