These characters have been injured to the degree that their medical condition requires surgery at a starbase infirmary, new artificial organs and/or prosthetics, or carry a decease there is no immediate cure for. They have been placed in stasis for the time being, pending that their conditions can be treated.
Should the writers of these characters return to the story, they have to contact the GM if they want to use their character again, and should any writer or new applicant wish to inherit them, the GM may allow it depending on what rank and position the character held before being put into stasis.
