Day 02 [1315 hrs.] Though I Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Elsewhere | Then ] Atten: Lucan.
Light blurred outside of the observation windows, swirling masses drawn out, slowing to points, snapping back to reality. The ship was dropping out of warp. Everyone in the diplomatic enclave aboard the USS Theurgy could feel the sudden shudder as the prototype dreadnought decelerated. Faye turned her head, as if that would block out the waves of worry flooding her senses, smashing against her defenses - and instead found her dark eyes staring out at the swirls of orange and red that filled the port window of the room they were all in. Her hands stilled on the med kit she was putting together, the tricorder removed, the case half closed. The view of Jupiter's Great Red Spot was breathtaking.
If only we were here to sight see, the young Betazoid officer thought to herself, the dismal words reflecting the emotional nature of those around her. But unfortunately for Ensign Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers , the team - and the ship, for that matter - that she was assigned to was not on a scenic jaunt across the Sol system. No, they were fleeing the heart of the Federation, as fast as they could. Her boss had said something about stopping at Jupiter Station, to try and get the warning out, to see if they could tell the galaxy what Captain Ives had discovered less than 2 hours before - the upper eschelon's of Starfleet Command had been replaced by some set of alien usurpers.
A revelation that Faye could hardly believe herself.
She could tell her immediate superior, Lt. Commander TharinAlk th'Thane, the Andorian head of the failed diplomatic mission to Romulus, was on edge. They all were. But she didn't need to be a telepath to know TharinAlk's misery. His fists were clenched tightly behind his back, almost to the point of drawing blood, and his antenna were almost flat to his head. Never a good sign. He was like a bowstring, taut and ready to snap. Instead of helping the others pack med kits and prep for search and rescue operations across the many levels of the ship (and may the gods help them if it came to that) the Andorian Chief Diplomat stalked his subordinates in a tense silence.
Faye was of half a mind to mentally prod her boss, just a soft, gentle tap in the back of his thoughts. He'd know it was her, and it might get her in trouble, but the brunette betazoid understood both the importance of perception and the very real hazard of micromanaging your people. And even without a serious probe into his mind, Faye could tell just how wrapped up he was inside. It wasn't a healthy state for a diplomat to be in, not when so many relied on him for strength.
It didn't help matters that Faye was feeling the same thing in the pit of her own gut. That worry, that sense of dread, and impeding doom. She got it every time she visited Lake El'nar back home on Betazed. Back when the birth parent's she'd never really known had died, when their boat capsized. It was that same sense now, bubbling up, so very much at odds with the sense of wonder she should be feeling.
The metal framework of Jupiter Station grew in the distance, lights twinkling like the lights on the Christmas Trees that Faye's mother always insisted on having. Two pillars, with three mushroom cap hulls on each, floated closer and closer as the Theurgy approached on impulse. A sense of hope bubbled up in Faye despite herself, that was sharply cut as the captains voice echoed in the room.
[Ives to th'Thane, hailing Jupiter Station now. Stand by.]
Faye could see the antenna on TharinAlk's head snap upright. His deep voice answered back, as he stopped his pacing, and crossed his arms tightly. "Acknowledged, Captain." At least he was physically projecting confidence. Even if Faye knew it was a false sense. Even with her barriers firmly in place, she was picking up all the stray emotions, if not the specific thoughts, of her teammates. And Lt. Cmdr. th'Thane was piratically broadcasting his feelings. Tension, worry, suspicion, his mind as tense as the set of his shoulders. He raised a hand up, brushing it over the white hair of his beard.
Faye wished she didn't know the confidence was fake. But she did. Forcing herself to go back to the med kit, she listened with half an ear to the now open channel. They all did, every man and woman's attention drawn away from what they should be focused on. The younger Ens. Vax was fidgeting in her seat, her pig-nosed snout flaring as the Tellerite tried to - Faye assumed - settle herself. Even Lt. Sentek, the stately Vulcan assigned to the group was clearly on edge. Faye didn't need her powers to see it, the way his eyebrow was permanently arched, and the slight tapping of one finger on the top of the table they were gathered around. Nigh on an anxiety attack for a Vulcan.
[This is Captain Ives of the Federation starship Theurgy, requesting private channel to Base Commander Anderson immediately.]
Tension gripped Faye, as she gave up trying to pretend to focus. What was the point. Would the captain get their answer. Apparently not. Silence filtered in over the comms.
"What are they playing at?" She heard TharinAlk whisper, as he unfolded his arms and planted his blue hands on the mahogany table, spread wide. He hunched over and closed his eyes, his antenna curling in forward towards the table top.
[Jupiter Station, I repeat, we need to speak with Admiral Anderson. Please resp-]
BOOM! There was sudden, gut wrenching jolt as everyone in the room were thrown upwards, away from the table, towards the fall wall. Faye flailed out, her stomach catching the edge of the table, forcing her back down into her chair with a force that left her breathless. She could see Lt. Cmdr. th'Thane go sliding across the slicked surface, face first towards the far side, scattering padd's and medkits all about.
Breee-t, Breeee-t. Red Alert, Red Alert. All hands to battle stations. Red alert Red - A secondary impact shook the ship.
"Whats going on!?" She cried out, staggering to her feet. The call to battle stations had been given, and that meant they were officially on damage control and rescue response. She had to - she had to get into the hall, she had to be ready. Her left hand managed to close onto a medkit strap, pulling it along the table and she staggered past one of the other Diplomats whom had just risen to their feet.
Overhead, Faye could hear the automated voice of Thea, the ships avatar, sending out a warning to the crew. [All hands to battle stations. We are under attack The Jupiter defense grid - ] whatever else the ships AI was going to say cut off with a burst of sudden rush of all encompassing silence. Faye was tossed tits over ass, flinging her from the room with such a violent force that she barely had a chance to come to terms with being in flight before she smashed into the far wall. Her eyes snapped shut in the wake of a blinding orange-white burst of light, heat rippling out across her lithe body. Futile, she reached back out, towards her friends...
Glass and duranium blew inwards with the impact, sending deadly shards into the room at terminal velocities. The shrapnel ripped through the diplomats, shredding Lt. Sentak into a green mass of torn muscle and gore. Flame followed, washing across the room, searing the flesh from Vax's bones, her cry of anguish snuffed out in an instant, sucked away by the venting atmosphere. And screaming in Faye's mind was the mental voice of TharinAlk th'Thane as his body was sucked out of the breach before the emergency forcefield could snap into place, tumbling over and over into the cold harsh vacuum of space.
Barely did Faye have the time to process what had happened when the emergency bulkhead slammed down atop her arm. The crushing force snapped the bone, the crack like that of an ancient firearm. Flames licked the fingers on the far side of the door before the oxygen was swept from the room. Blinding, inhumanly strong pain shot up, banishing rational thought from Faye as she screamed in utter terror. But another torpedo impacted the ship, sending the dreadnought rolling to port with such a force that Faye was bodily torn from the doorway, smashing into the far side of the hall, wind rushing in her ears. She never heard the sickening thud of her skull against the far wall, or the wet rip that accompanied the tearing of tendons and muscle, leaving half her arm behind.
[ Main Sickbay | USS Theurgy | Now ]
One moment, there was intense, unholy pain ripping through her synopsis, leaving her crying out in physical and telepathic anguish. The next, there was...nothing. Darkness, floating in an empty abyss, all encompassing, ceaseless, endless darkness. Eternity reached out its empty hand towards Faye, to draw her into its never ending depths, only to recede at the last moment.
First there was the pressure in the back of her mind. The awareness of presence, of thoughts - those of others, not her own. Threatening to overwhelm her before her barely conscious mind erected the shields that years of training had granted her. Everything felt heavy, stiff. There was a soft, beeping noise in the background, a steady pulsing, and a distinctly antiseptic scent forcing its way into her nose. Her mouth was dry as a canyon, as she slowly licked at her lips, struggling.
Consciousness returned gradually to Ens. Eloi-Danvers, as she lay on the relatively comfortable, if firm, bed in the recovery wing of the massive ships sickbay. Not that Faye was aware of just exactly what part of the ship - if it was her ship - she hand ended up in. All she knew was a wave of gut twisting anguish raged against her self control and fuzzy memory.
[ Dr. Nicander | Meanwhile | CMO Office | Deck 11 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan(https://orig02.deviantart.net/59a1/f/2015/174/4/e/nicander_row_01_by_auctor_lucan-d8yfd6n.png)
There was a chirp from Lucan cin Nicander's desk, and he walked up to it - his white lab coat flaring out as he put his hands on either side of the console. His pale grey eyes read the notification he'd asked for and then he pushed away from the desk, heading out of his office. On the way out, he passed by the former Kzinti male where he lay in the primary surgical suite. After Amelya Duv - or would it eventually be Amelya Rez? - had been beamed to the isolation ward, the Kzinti had taken her place, and the surgical team had more or less just finished with him. "Nicander to Nurse Patterson, would you please join me in the Recovery Ward? Thank you."
By the winds, why had we scheduled so many stasis revivals right before this outbreak? he asked himself in regret as he passed through the throng in Main Sickbay, physicians and patients on hover gurneys in his way. This particular patient had been on ice since months back, and he wondered what she might think when she woke to the current chaos that was the situation aboard the
Theurgy. Nonetheless, he made his way to the ward where the ship's last Diplomatic officer rested after her surgery.
He could see that she was slowly coming to, but he stopped short of leaning over her. The reason was that there was a bio contamination field around her where she lay, raised when it was determined that the virus hadn't infected her after she was removed from stasis. Reaching her side, he checked the readings on the biobed and waited for the nurse to join him by Eloi-Danvers' side. "Prepare the biobed for transport out of this chaos," he asked of Patterson, essentially asking her to decouple it from the wall where it sat. "We will soon move the patient, and I want you to accompany her, so after I scan you for the virus, I need you to prepare to go with her. Decontamination Chamber 02 should be available, and as soon as you are done and have donned a new uniform, you will be beamed out with this Ensign. The patient should not have to remain behind her bio field, so moving her is the only option."
The parasite inside had a notion about what it might look like, seeing the lovely Nurse rubbing decontamination gel all over her naked body in the blue light, but Lucan dismissed the very idea of spying on her. He would have to remain with the patient, and the notions of the parasite would have to be ignored. So, letting the Nurse handle the biobed first, Lucan directed his attention to the Betazoid that lay on the biobed in front of him and Patterson.
"Ensign Eloi-Danvers?" he said to her, his exotic accent rolling over phonetics of her unique name. He raised his tattooed hands in a calming manner, "I'm Chief Medical Officer Nicander, and you are aboard the Federation starship
Theurgy. Please, don't try to rise up. There is currently a virus outbreak, with sick patients all around you, and you are protected by a bio contamination field. As soon as we have verified your recovery, you will be moved from here. You've only remained here because our surgery began before the outbreak was known, and we needed to monitor your condition. It if is too early for you to speak, simply nod if you understand what I am saying to you."
Seeing her there on the biobed, with both arms over the thin blanket that covered her, it was nigh impossible to tell which one of her arms were the synthetic one. Yet Nicander knew, because he had personally attached it to her nervous system, calibrated every servo and synthetic nerve node. Still, it was almost uncanny how life-like it seemed next to her other one.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Main Sickbay | Deck 11 | USS Theurgy ] Attn Faye, Nicander
"Nicander to Nurse Patterson, would you please join me in the Recovery Ward? Thank you."
Riley looked up from the lavatories where she had just finished up. She didn't even bother to answer the CMO as he probably already expected her to show up at his side. She quickly finished up and pulled her underwear and pants up before she washed her hands and rushed her way into the overcrowded Sickbay. It was easy enough to find the doctor with his white coat on as he strides through the Sickbay. By the time she made it to his side he had already reached the last of their diplomats as she was slowly waking up for the anesthetics.
"Prepare the biobed for transport out of this chaos, we will soon move the patient, and I want you to accompany her, so after I scan you for the virus, I need you to prepare to go with her. Decontamination Chamber 02 should be available, and as soon as you are done and have donned a new uniform, you will be beamed out with this Ensign. The patient should not have to remain behind her bio field, so moving her is the only option."
"Of course Doctor." Patterson complied as she disconnected the biobed from the energy supply system. She tapped the biobed's controls and set it for transport mode while she made sure Ensign Eloi-Danvers wouldn't endure too many inconveniences during the transport. She looked up at her department head as he gave her further instructions and nodded "Of course doctor." she answered humbly as she was surprised to get the task to look after Eloi-Danvers.
She waited patiently as she looked at Faye while he informed Faye about what was supposed to happen. She smiled at the handy work Nicander had performed with the prime prosthetic they had scavenged off Opal. She would introduce herself later to Faye when they would be out of the witch's cauldron so to speak. She remained standing in position with her hands behind her back as she allowed her eyes to go over Nicander. There was a lot of gossip between the nurses about the good doctor, many of them, including Riley had thought him as attractive and mysterious. Working with him was always a pleasure and today was no different as Riley felt her gut clench as some forbidden thoughts ran through her mind as she wondered what the Doctor would be underneath all those clothes.
[Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Elsewhere | Then ] Atten: @AuctorLucan, @Nolan
There began, behind her eyes, a soft sort of dull ache, an almost familiar one, of overuse. There were waves of emotion and thought crashing against her, taxing her, and the dark haired Betazoid felt like she'd been both asleep for ages, and worn to the core for exhaustion. Something had happened, and Faye couldn't remember the specifics. She remembered - or recognized, perhaps was a better word - the voice above her, however. The ships Doctor - her ships doctor. They were in orbit around....around....it was there and gone, washed away with the sudden impression of misery. Her own? Or someone else's? Someone affected by the virus, perhaps that the doctor mentioned?
Suddenly a heat rose up in her cheeks, as thoughts of the Doctor surfaced, unbidden. Impressions of the man in naught but his white lab coat, billowing open. Muscles on display, indistinct tattoo'd patterns on his tanned skin. Do they go all the way down she thought. Except it wasn't her voice thinking that, Faye was sure of it. Those dark eyes drew upward, towards a woman she didn't recognize, but understood, in that instant, was the source of the thoughts running across her head. She gave the girl - the nurse -pretty nurse, at that - a knowing look before turning her gaze back to the man standing by the bed, and away from the woman decoupling the device from its port.
Carefully, she latched onto the blank spot that was Lucan Nicander, and focused her mind on it, drawing strength from the cool, empty impression he left on her psyche. She'd never been able to read him - a genetic quirk, not unlike a Cardassian's gave his species protection of thought from her empathic and telepathic powers. And just right then, when her mind was being assaulted by so many warring thoughts and feelings, he was a gods send. Apparently literally, judging by the fact that she was on a biobed, and the Doctor had just said she'd come from surgery.
"Sur...gurey?" The words sounded like they were croaked, coming from a bloated toad, and not her throat. It left her eyes wide in fear that something had been done to her voice. She relied on her voice, as much as her mental gifts. She started to rise up then stopped, belatedly remembering his words, and allowed herself to settle back down on the bed. Glancing around, turning her head gently, she could see her arms above the sheet. She curled her fingers - or tried to. Her right hand seemed to respond just a bit faster than her left. It was nigh on undetectable - but not completely so. Just enough, a hint, for Faye to notice The dread in the pit of her stomach intensified, and she felt color drain from her face. Oh no, ohnoohnohno, something had gone horribly wrong but she couldn't remember.
Her head nodded because he had said to nod. She hazarded a jagged question, however. The one that was now burning in her soul, as visions of a bright yellow light surfaced in her mind, there and gone in an instant. "What...wha-t happ-ppend?"
[ Dr. Nicander | Meanwhile | CMO Office | Deck 11 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan(https://orig02.deviantart.net/59a1/f/2015/174/4/e/nicander_row_01_by_auctor_lucan-d8yfd6n.png)
While the patient slowly recovered enough to speak, Nicander had fished a medical tricorder out of the pockets of his lab coat. Nurse Patterson was finished with the biobed and had returned to his side, so he'd turned to her so that he might scan her.
"A moment please," he said quietly to the Nurse, asking her to stand still while he made the scan. His attention was split between the readings on the tricorder and the Ensign on the biobed, so he missed the subtle exchange between the two woman, and even if he'd caught it, he would have had no inkling as to what it had been about. Instead, he read her readings from head to toe, the outline of her uniform still before he made the call. "You show no signs of the virus. I'll have you beamed into the chamber straight away, and you need to tell me when you are finished."
Having said this, Lucan glanced upwards. "Thea, is Decontamination Chamber 02 available?"
[Yes, Doctor Nicander. There are no life-signs present.]
"Then I am in need of a medical site-to-site transport. Nurse Riley Patterson needs to be beamed there straight away. Can do that?" he said, not answering Eloi-Danvers just yet.
[Stand by. Establishing transporter lock... Energising.]
When the nurse had been beamed out of the busy recovery ward, just so that she might not be infected before she'd decontaminated herself, Lucan turned to the Diplomatic officer again, giving her his full attention. "You lost a lot of blood, so before I tell you what your injures were, please tell me what assignments you've had in Starfleet before you came aboard. I also need you to tell me where you were born, and which year you graduated from the Academy. By the winds, this might seem strange, but I need to verify that you don't suffer from any amnesia after what you went through." The warm smile he gave her was one of encouragement, and he folded his tattooed hands behind his back as he listened to her. "This is important, so try to focus but remain calm. If you can't remember right away, there is no need for concern. You just need some time."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Main Sickbay | Deck 11 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus, @LucanWhile her improper thoughts weren't enough to satisfy her need to know, or feel for that matter, Riley suddenly found herself eye locked with the ensign on the biobed. Her eyes seemingly looking right into her very soul as she seemed to know what she was thinking. A light blush covering her own cheeks now as she saw the PADD details herself. Realizing the ensign was a telepath, she couldn't help but smile a bit shy before she diverted her eyes.
She remained still and read through her patient's information and got up to speed with what she needed to know about her seeing she'd spent some time with her in the coming future. Whilst getting up to speed, Nicander continued to inform the patient about the current situation. Faye didn't seem to remember she had any surgery, nor the trauma she had suffered. Riley smiled a bit faintly at Faye as her eyes went over her again, the details of the surgery impossible to notice with the bare eye. Yet Riley knew what and where and forced herself not to think about it. She didn't want to upset Faye by spilling the idea in her head. So instead she just thought about how good looking she was. Before even halting that train of thought as it would be rather unprofessional on her behalf to even consider such things.
By the time she had blanked out her mind once more, Nicander turned his attention back to her as he fished out his medical tricorder. Patterson nodded and remained still enough while Nicander performed the scan. After hearing she wasn't infected, she smiled and waited for herself to be beamed over to the decontamination room. "I'll inform you when I'm done doctor." she answered correctly before she got energized.
Once the site to site transfer had been completed, the low blue lights of the decontamination room provided enough light for Patterson to continue. She shed the uniform off her along with her underwear as she padded through the room in her nude frame. She placed the items in a dispenser that would incenerate the clothes as she didn't want to risk any contamination. Her combadge was still in her hand as she placed it on a cabinet before she walked over to the replicator. She asked for the disinfectant gel so she could go and shower before she received the contents required. She padded back to the part of the room where she could use the sonic field sweep.
She activated the sonic showers as it removed the light grime she was wearing and any other bodily fluids she might've come in contact with. The purpose sonic shower served to clean out her body so the gel could be applied to in a way that her body would absorb most of it and maximum disinfection could be achieved.
She opened the pads with the gel as she started to smear herself in from top to bottom with the contents. The gel rather sticky and slime-like as if she was rubbing herself in with an ultrasound gel. Once she had lubricated her body with it, she turned the sonic settings to the hardest as she looked like a swamp monster at this point. The hard sonic vibrations served their purpose to shed any gel she couldn't rub off and she cleaned out her hair thoroughly enough. The contents of the gel did cause for some vapor to rise up as it moistened her hair to a rather damp condition.
Once she was clean of the gel she replicated a towel for her hair, she did went to the replicator for new underwear and a fresh uniform. In a matter of minutes Riley was dressed, her hair however still damp as she tapped her combadge "Patterson to Nicander. I'm ready doctor." she informed the man as she pinned the badge back on her uniform and tried to dry off her hair as good as possible before letting it hang loose for now.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Main Sickbay | Deck 11 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Auctor Lucan , @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Before she could get a straight answer out of the doctor he shifted his focus away from her, to the pretty nurse with the wandering eyes and the growing blush. If her head hadn't been throbbing in pain already, Faye might have felt guilt at picking up the other woman's thoughts. But she was worried about herself, about what had happened, why she was in sickbay, and what was wrong with her hands. The last thing she remembered was Jupiter...something about Jupiter, that beautiful ball of gas swirls in her mothers home system. But she couldn't remember why that mattered.
And with her defenses as battered and broken as they were, she got the ghost of a thought that something very bad had happened to her. Faye was certain this time the feeling wasn't coming from her, and it certainly wasn't coming from Dr. Nicander - he was that welcome blank spot around her. Which meant it had to come from Nurse...Nurse....Paterson, had he called her that? Or was she picking up the name from the girls thoughts. Thoughts that...
Oh. Oh My.It was Faye's turn to blush, as the transporter effect whisked the woman away and left the young Betazoid Ensign 'alone' with the Doctor. Trying to use that calmness that was Nicander's mind, Faye focused on rebuilding her walls while she listened to the doctor. His voice, singsong in its own way, was also a welcome relief. Why oh why did she feel so tired? Well, she'd lost a lot of blood. That wasn't good. And it was clear more had happened and that had to mean - it had to mean that if she didn't focus, she'd spiral.
Daddy always told me to clear my mind and focus on the task at hand she thought quietly.
"Before I was on the
Theurgy?" Faye repeated the question, her voice sounding a bit better, but still gravely. An image of an old
Oberth-class starship filtered up into her mind, as seen from a shuttle on approach. Tiny, compact, tightly knit crew, not an inch of wasted space. Reliable. "I was assigned to the
Cortes, stationed out of Khitomer." She even managed a smile for a moment, fondly remembering her first billet. "After I graduated in 2378 - well, 77, but there was the diplomatic courses." Each word helped reassure Faye that she was....well, Faye. That she remembered herself, which mattered, because she didn't remember how she got here and that would threaten to send her into a panic. She hated hospitals, and any time a doctor advised her to 'try and stay calm' was usually the exact time she started to slip.
"And I was born in 2356...April 18." She said nothing of the fate of her parents - he hadn't asked. Worry gripped her all the sudden and she forced her head to the side, to look at her right arm. A sigh of relief escaped as the dark haired woman saw the small tattoo just below her elbow. Whatever had happened, she hadn't lost that.
Thank the gods.Dry swallowing, she leaned back against the pillow, hair billowing out around her head, shutting her pitch black eyes for a moment. There was that pressure again, at the base of her skull, thoughts rapping against her shields. This was bad. She was usually better about this. Then again, she was in sickbay. Something had happened - the pretty nurse had hinted at it. "Doctor," she ventured, looking back up at him, taking in the visage that sent many a heart a flutter. "Water?"
Easier to ask than "what the hell is going on, what did you do to me?".
[ Dr. Nicander | Meanwhile | CMO Office | Deck 11 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan @Brutus (https://orig02.deviantart.net/59a1/f/2015/174/4/e/nicander_row_01_by_auctor_lucan-d8yfd6n.png)
When asked for water, and with the Nurse no longer present, Lucan merely nodded. "Of course. A moment."
While he went to get the water, Lucan let the Betazoid officer think things through, not saying anything. The thing inside had notions, vivid ideas of what it wanted to do to the young woman, taking advantage of her situation. The images flashing before Lucan's eyes were more easily ignored after what the Radiant had done to him, the impressions they left not in any way appealing to him, and he merely found them irritating in how they were always there. Far gone was the feeling of sharing in the parasite's delights, and the only thing it served to do was to motivate him to find a answer to rid himself of the thing within. Better yet, to find a way to weaponize what Heather McMillan had done to him.
"There you go." When he returned, giving the Betazoid her the sanitised water, he stood by her biobed and gave some further insight. He let her prop herself up on the biobed in order to drink, making sure she retained the ability to move despite her new limb.
"There was an accident at Jupiter Station, where Thea sustained heavy phaser and torpedo bombardment. There were hull breaches along the port side, and one of them occurred right where you and the rest of the diplomatic delegation sat in attendance. The winds carry their souls, by most of them were lost in the breach." Lucan took the glass from her when she was finished drinking, and he held it by his side in a tattooed hand. "You survived, and while the exact circumstances remain unclear, you had lost your left arm, and would have bled out if my medical officers hadn't been quick to reach you and put you in your stasis pod. Your arm was never found again, likely lost through the hull breach since the entire deck was left depressurised after you were recovered. Aside from the arm, you suffered from multiple lacerations and massive cranial trauma."
Indicating her left arm with his pale grey eyes, he continued, since the rest needed to be said before she'd become frightened by the implications of what he'd said. "Your left arm is the latest model of a Starfleet Medical issue prosthetic, nigh impossible to tell apart from your other arm. Your nervous system has been patched to its artificial tactile sensors, and its servos calibrated to respond as it should to your brain's commands. You may, of course, experience some initial discomfort or not think it behaves as it should, but if you just give it a few days, you will notice quick improvement. What needs to happen is to let the control of your arm become subconscious, and your brain will compensate for any discrepancies compared to the arm you lost. You will, in short, adapt."
Pausing, Lucan let her absorb it all, before he continued. "Do you have any quest-"
[Patterson to Nicander. I'm ready doctor.]1
Lucan tapped the combadge on his lab coat. "Acknowledged, Patterson. Please ask Thea for a transport to the lower Battle Sickbay and prepare for Eloi-Danvers' arrival. I want you to assess her ability to walk, and if there is no indication of lasting issues, I need you to escort her to her new quarters. She will be with you shortly. Nicander out."
Turning his attention back to the Betazoid, he smiled reassuringly and repeated the question that he never finished. "Do you have any questions at this time? I may be able to give you some answers, at least, before you get your briefing."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Main Sickbay | Deck 11 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @@Brutus , @Auctor Lucan"Acknowledged, Patterson. Please ask Thea for a transport to the lower Battle Sickbay and prepare for Eloi-Danvers' arrival. I want you to assess her ability to walk, and if there is no indication of lasting issues, I need you to escort her to her new quarters. She will be with you shortly. Nicander out.""Acknowledged Doctor." she answered before she prepared herself and looked around that she hadn't forgotten anything. "Thea, would you be so kind for a site to site transport to the Lower Battle Sickbay. Prepare a room for Miss Eloi Danvers with some equipment for physio therapy." she requested, with an acknowledgment of the order, the nurse was transported to the lower Battle Sickbay. She had been placed in a room that was separate from the patients that were there as well and she looked around before she inspected the equipment. There was a modern walker that levitated off the ground. She stepped towards it and calibrated it to the weight and height of the incoming patient. It would serve as a good exercise to see how well the woman would be after stasis. Furthermore there were some practical exercises like reading and writing and the usage of a PADD. All these served to see how her motor skills and eye to hand skills were making the transition from stasis.
With everything set, now the only thing Riley needed wash er patient. She closed her eyes and thought to herself that she shouldn't try and overthink or think out loud for that reason. Her patient could probably use the silence and tranquility, not someone who was pretty much screaming and thinking chaotically. With a few deep breaths she tried to clear her mind as she leaned against the walker.

With a very raspy "thank you," to the dark haired Chief of Medicine, Faye pushed herself up and reached out with her right hand to take the water glass and bring it to her parched lips. This took a bit of effort to pull off, as she didn't want to let the covers slip away, but she managed. And still, her left arm felt...wrong. Even as she used it to clutch the sheet to her chest. With the crackly feeling in her throat now soothed, she turned her attention to Dr. Nicander's words, listening, intent. And as he spoke, horror washed through her. Her eyes went wide, her mouth sunk open, and she felt the panic build, the certainty of ....of being chased? Of being used? Chastised for what she was becoming?
Her head turned to the side, eyes wide, trying to find the source - but it was gone just as swiftly and she was left with the sickening after effects, the soothing water replaced with the taste of fear and bile, and her own native sorrow. So many gone...
Did she have questions? She'd just been informed of the loss off her arm. The doctors didn't even know how she had lost it. There was an explosion she didn't remember. She was starring down at her left hand trying to tell the difference. And yet she was unable to see a marked change. Where the real arm ended, where the new one began. She knew now, it was fake.
It was not her.
Alien.
Foreign.
False.
Faye shuddered and shut her eyes as yet more fear and sorrow welled up inside of her. From herself, she was sure this time, not someone else. Not like the abject wave of terror that had hit while the Doctor was speaking, a feeling of being chased. This was a feeling of loss. Her loss, and it was all she could do to keep herself together. She curled her hands into tight fists on the sheet that gave her some sense of modesty.
The left hand was slower. Microseconds slower, but she felt it. She would not let herself cry. They wouldn't want that, her friends...oh, her friends. She was so caught up with trying to control herself that she missed the exchange between Dr. Nicander and Nurse Patterson, about what would come next.had she paid attention, nothing would have changed, of course, but it was one more tidbit, one additional piece of missed information for the young Ensign
Finally however, she heard Lucan's voice, cutting through the fog of her thoughts, focusing her once again on the matter at hand.
"Did anyone else survive, Doctor?" She could have asked about the new quarters. About the details of the damage done, that he had healed. About how long she had been in stasis. About where they were. A thousand questions flashed through her mind but all she could ask was that. "Did any of my collu-of my friends made it out alive? Thari- Commander th'Thane?"
[ Dr. Nicander | Meanwhile | CMO Office | Deck 11 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan @Brutus (https://orig02.deviantart.net/59a1/f/2015/174/4/e/nicander_row_01_by_auctor_lucan-d8yfd6n.png)
The question ought to have been expected. Of course Eloi-Danvers wanted to know how the rest of the Diplomatic delegation aboard had fared. Unfortunately, Lucan had no good news for her.
"There is never an easy way to say this, and I suspect you already know what I am about to say... Not because of my thoughts, of course, but because the memories might still be there... in your subconscious."
He paused, and he stepped to her right side, taking the glass of water out of her hand. Since he had already scanned himself for any Virus 117 infection, he reached through the containment field and held her real hand in his own, clasping it for support as he told her. "Outside Jupiter Station, where we dropped out of warp to contact the base commander, Thea suffered a direct hit from a full spread of quantum torpedoes. The deck you were all on was depressurised, and you are the only survivor as far as we know."
He needn't tell her that during the strange voyage they had behind themselves, officers returning to the ship even though they had been lost in battle was not the strangest thing by far. He wouldn't tell because it might prolong the time she'd need to process her grief. The parasite saw it as an opportunity to manipulate her, to make her depend on his every word, but Lucan was through playing such games. He would not wield truth in untruth just because he could, because of leverage. He would tell her because she needed to hear it, and not act upon the chance he had. He would do the right thing, despite the will of the thing inside him.
"I am afraid that those working closest to you are gone, but many of the
Theurgy's crew still remains here. We have picked up a lot of new people along the way, but you should take comfort in the fact that you are not alone... and that we need you. I am sure Captain Ives will speak with you about your continued duties aboard, and what you might do for the mission."
He gave her a faint smile, one of encouragement. "You need time, and rest, but please acknowledge the fact that while some winds have ceased to blow, there will yet come more for you to ride upon. A saying of my people, and it means that death is never the end, just temporary calm before the next breeze."
Having said this, he let her hand go, but he crouched down next to her biobed, so that he was level with her. "Do you have any more questions, or would you like to get out of this crowd? Nurse Patterson will take good care of you."
If she so wished, he would tell Thea to initiate the site-to-site transport.
OOC: If Faye has another question, I will post again, but if not, feel free to have Lucan transport Faye in your upcoming post, Brutus. :) Nolan posts after you since that makes more sense, right?
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Main Sickbay | Deck 11 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Auctor Lucan @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Faye knew the moment that Dr. Nicander reached through the containment field that things were bad. He wouldn't do that, he wouldn't take her hand - the real one - if it was good news he had to deliver. Or even a silver lining. No, he'd only do this if he had to impart the kind of news that would hollow her out inside. The kind that would confirm her suspicions, her fears on the subject.
They were all dead.
A wave of anguish crashed in against her battered defenses, against the walls she had desperately tried to build, both around her mind, and her heart. Each failed her in turn and she was swept under the torrent, the feeling of her own despair being a sharp, wracking sob to the surface as the deep, dark pools of her pure black eyes went wide in pain.
Doctor Nicander was right, about one thing. She wasn't picking up his thoughts, even with the direct contact. The raven haired ensign squeezed Lucan's tattooed hand, hard, so terribly hard, needing that contact for a moment. She stared back into his consolatory countenance, trying to draw strength from it as the suffering of others in Sickbay invaded her mind. Did she have more questions? Of course Faye did. She always had questions. Never ending assortment of them. Her father had always said that her favorite word was 'why'. It drove her poor mother 'bonkers' as the elder Danvers would often claim.
Faye was brimming with questions, but with the news hitting her as hard as it did - with the tears now silently pooling in the corners of her eyes, the young officer did not want to remain in the recovery ward surrounded by so many people. So many minds, almost all of them weighed down in chains of depression.
Gods help us the ship feels like its been gutted to the core, she thought to herself as she struggled to put bricks in place. Just dealing with one mind would be much more preferable. The betazoid needed time to process - the losses of her friends and colleges (the only friends she had on the ship, to be truthful), the fear that she would now have the weight of the whole department on her shoulders; the knowledge that the crew had suffered grievous losses and yet gained new members? The pressure of the unknown ate at her, and she needed to be away.
Perhaps the physical evaluation would let her take her mind off it. She sniffled, hoping the thought was right, and that when she spoke, her voice would not break.
Gods help me I'm going to need a lot of time with Counselor Nelis once things settled down. If they settle down...With that less than cheery thought filling her mind, Faye shook her head slowly and spoke up. "I...No questions right now. Thank you, Doctor." She swallowed hard, before she sucked her bottom lip between her teeth. Her eyes were far too wide still, like a hunted, wounded animal - she could tell. So she shut them, let the tears stream down her cheeks and calmly continued. "I think ...seeing Nurse Patterson now would be a good idea."
Being away from here would be a good idea she silently added.
In a valiant attempt to make herself a bit more presentable, she dashed her hand - her right hand, her real hand - across her face, wiping away the tears. She'd be mortified later at such a display, shameful for a Starfleet officer, even a Betazoid, whom were known for being open with their emotions and opinions. But for now she watched as the Doctor squared his shoulders and shot her a comforting smile.
At least there's this friendly face, she told herself, doing her best not to think about anything or anyone else - even the seemingly friend nurse she was on her way to meet.
"Thea," that accented voice called out. "Please beam Ens. Eloi-Danvers to Nurse Patterson's current location."
"Acknowledged, Doctor," came the dulcet tones of the ships AI. The last thing Faye saw before the blue white light swept her away to the secluded Battle Sickbay and the tender care of Nurse Riley Patterson was Lucan Nicander, hands clasped behind his back, eyes homed in on hers, and that gentle, sympathetic smile on his face.
OOC: I figure Faye has a metric ton of questions but she's in no condition to ask them just yet. @Nolan - i render her into Patterson's tender care LOL.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
The blue light energized in front of her eyes as the figure formed itself on the bed at the Battle Sickbay's secluded section. Patterson stood more in attention as she waited for the site to site transport to be completed. Once ensign Eloi-Danvers had materialized entirely, Patterson smiled faintly as she noticed the features on her face. It indicated that Nicander must've broken the news about the other members of the diplomatic party aboard the ship. Faye was the only known survivor at this point and Riley slowly ventured closer as she did her best to keep her mind as blank as possible to not overwhelm the ensign entirely.
Despite Faye's best intentions to wipe away the tears, there was no way of covering up the fact that she had been crying earlier on.
She placed her hand on her shoulder as she whispered softly "Ensign... I'm sorry for your loss. Would you like something to drink? Perhaps something warm?" she suggested as she stepped closer until she came face to face with her. Her eyes looking at her face and features before looking in her eyes "If there's anything I can do for you or if you ever want to talk, you can always contact me or tell me." she offered as a meager option.
Her eyes looked over the equipment and she wondered if it was a good idea to put the ensign through all the exercises. She could possible stall or postpone some tests until she was at her own quarters. That is if she could walk steadily to her own quarters. She looked back at Faye as she gave a gentle squeeze in her shoulders before giving her a warm and caring smile "Whenever you feel ready ensign, let me know." she informed her with a smile.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
The trilling hum of Thea's transporter beam filled Faye's ears. She'd always liked the tone, finding it soothing. Such was the case now as she was deposited into a different bed, 4 decks above where she had awoken - and a separate vector entirely. The light of the beam vanished, displaying a reasonably well lit room, with - amazingly - only one occupant. The nurse from before.... Patterson, Dr. Nicander had called her. The one with the long brown hair that grew light at the tips, and the piercing Blue eyes. She was, Faye saw, affecting a pleasant smile, and doing her best to blanket her mind, bless her.
What a state I must seem to her, she silently lamented, knowing that her efforts to rid her face of her tears were less than successful. Her suspicions were confirmed when the nurse reached out and touched her arm. Immediately there was a sense of sympathy, but it was muted - Faye had been forcing that wall of hers into place again, as she had been transported away. Something, anything, to keep the voices out of her head, let her deal with her grief and recovery behind the safety of her mental defenses.
And yet she still felt that sympathy, and managed a smile, even if she felt overwhelmed by the woman's offer to listen, to be there if she needed it. Riley's face was so close, and so earnest, and unlike with Dr. Nicander she had a sense, as she stared back into those bright eyes, of the emotions and thoughts behind the offer. It was hard for Faye to not reach out and probe, but she managed to curtail her desires, lumping it all in with the stress of the news she'd been given.
To say she was an emotional wreck right then would have been an understatement of the highest order.
"I...thank you," she quietly replied, her voice still a little raw. "A hot drink would be nice, yes. Tarkalian Tea? Sweetened?" Faye tried not to pout a little as she asked, but she always had a habit of looking something akin to a Terran puppy dog at times like this. Riley stepped away, and Faye continued to ponder her words, pulling her legs up slowly, bunching them against her chest, under the sheet that had been beamed in with her. She wiggled her toes against the matress, her dark eyes following the other woman, her mind still turbulent.
"I um...I'll keep in mind your other offer as well." Faye didn't have any friends left alive on the ship; the only people she might have turned to were all spaced. The color drained out of her face as she thought of that, and her breath hitched, before she shunted it away. Riley was offering...that made a grand total of one person making an effort (she didn't count the counseling staff, or Dr. Nicander, who had given her his best reassurance then bundled her off to go see to his next paitent.) "But....Nurse Patterson -" she had
a sudden sense, even as she said it, that the other woman would have preferred her first name, "Riley...what are we supposed to begin?"
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
"One Tarkalian tea coming right up." she smiled, her vibrant happy mood pretty much radiating from her despite her efforts to keep her head as blank as possible. The idea of tea though had her thinking of back home. Riley was a definite tea kind of person as she despised coffee. She had tasted many kind of flavors and wasn't too scared to experiment with the alien variants of them. It had gotten her in several odd situations where at some point she almost got considered a bride-to-be of a chieftain during her early years as an explorer.
As Riley walked over to the replicator she hadn't intended to sway her hips too much for Faye, yet had managed to do so either way. She cocked her hips in front of the replicator as she ordered the drink and added the option to add some sweetness to it. Her eyes looked at the beverage forming before the warm damps came from out of the cup. She took it in both hands and walked back to Faye as she smiled and handed it over to her. The ensign seemed to know her name already and Riley figured it was probably because of Nicander. She was pleased to hear that she'd keep her offer in mind and she nodded ever so lightly at the brunette in front of her.
When she addressed her as Nurse Patterson followed by Riley, the young woman giggled and shook her head before looking around at the infrastructure. "Please just call me Riley." she smiled "As for what we're supposed to do here... Nothing kinky, this isn't a playroom so to speak." she joked with a wink before she walked to the hovering walker. "Doctor Nicander had requested me to check how your motor skills endured the stasis. Sometimes we see that people have lost some of these abilities and need some physiotherapy." she explained herself as she allowed the woman to savor her drink first. "I was thinking of exercises for the mind and the body, like some brain games, puzzles and sorts. Yet also walking and checking what other physical duty you're already comfortable with. Running or rope skipping as an example there." she clarified as she remained professional with Faye. She didn't want her to see her as the pervert who had naughty thoughts about anyone.
"So anyway, I'll leave it up to you to decide what you'd want to start with. We have time really as Nicander has appointed me to be your personal nurse until you're back on your feet and at work." she smiled friendly and stood back in front of her.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Auctor Lucan , @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
A ray of sunshine, Faye found herself thinking, in regards to the bright Nurse, as she watched the smile spread over Rileys' face. Then the woman was sauntering off, drawing Faye's gaze, and instead of wallowing for a few minutes in self pity, the Betazoid found herself instead following the nurse' trek across the room. Her fingers on her right hand were taping against the side of her leg, in time with Riley's steps. And when the other woman cocked her hip to one side to place an order, Faye tilted her head in the same direction. Whether it was the nurses intention or not, she had at least momentarily distracted Faye from her grief.
Taking the tea in both hands - awkwardly, with the left hand - Faye managed to balance the cup and bring it to her lips. She closed her eyes and drew in the scent of the tea in a long, slow breath through her nose. A sigh escaped her lips as the spicy tang of it comforted her. It reminded her of her mother, who would often sip a cup of this in the afternoon, if she couldn't get her hands on a blend from earth (She refused to replicate the tea, insisting on imports). Savoring the moment, Ens. Eloi-Danvers looked up just in time to catch Riley's crack about a playroom, and her eyebrows shot up high on her forehead, while her lips curled into a slight smile behind the rim of the Starfleet standard issue glass mug.
Enjoying the flavor as she took her first sip, letting it roll down her tongue, and sooth her, Faye listened intently, finding herself nodding along. A serious look began to bloom, but it quickly cracked into a small smile - the nurses happy nature (and the light teasing) made it impossible for Faye to remain stoic. Still a lot of what the lighter haired woman was saying made plenty of sense to the diplomat. And she acknowledged that with a small tilt of the teacup in Riley's direction, before takign another sip and nearly choking on it when she got a stray....impression.
Oh dear she thought, blushing a bit harder before tamping down on
that impulse. Now was certainly not the time. And yet....and yet.
"Personal nurse, huh? I must have done something right then." The teasing quip was out of her mouth before she could stop it, and she hid the follow up blush with that same mug, taking another long drink from it to get her wits about her. Settling back down, her legs now crossed under the blanket, and her hands resting - fake inside real, with the teacup balances in the palm of her replacement, Faye found herself looking the other woman over a few times, her own dark eyes passing up and down as she contemplated everything she'd been told.
"I'm not entirely sure that I'm up for skipping rope just yet," the Ensign finally concluded, as her gaze shifted to the hover walker. Chewing on her lip, she continued, "But...I do want to see what I'm capable of. I just don't know if its much, at all." She let out a sigh. Her throat no longer hurt, and the throaty, raspy quality was gone from her voice. But she still felt exhausted. Which, considering she'd been in stasis for ...
for what? For how long?"Lets get started. But Nu-Riley?" She asked, swinging a leg to the side, letting it slip out from under the sheets, mostly bare, at least up to the knee. "How long...was I even in stasis? I just realized Dr. Nicander didn't say. How long has it been, since -"
Since all your friends died and you were the only one spared. Since everyone on this ship you cared about became stardust - "Since we left Earth."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
Riley observed Faye as she took over the tea in her hands, her left hand still seemed to be a tad alienated from the rest of her body, yet Riley smiled contently as this itself was already and exercise. The woman seemed to enjoy the scent of the tea and the flavor seemed to be just right as she took a sip and her face seemed to look a thousand times better already in the eyes of the young nurse.
"Personal nurse, huh? I must have done something right then."
Riley's reply was to mention that she stayed alive, yet she bit back on that reply as she figured it would probably be unfit in this situation. Faye's blush on her cheeks didn't alert Riley that she had gotten an impression off her, she just imagined it was the tea working it's way down her body.
As she mentioned not to be ready for any rope skipping just yet, Riley snickered and nodded as she still acknowledged that she wanted to see what she was still capable off. "Well, the good news is, your fingers and hands seem to work perfectly as you can drink on your own and not throw the cup around." she assured the ensign, boosting her self confidence a little before noticing she was still in her patient gown. Considering, she'd probably be naked underneath it, Riley wanted to voice out the option to replicate her some clothes and underwear. That itself would be a perfect exercise to see if she could have the fine motor skills to get dressed and remember what was needed for what.
However Faye asked a different question to Riley as she wanted to know for how long she had been in stasis. Riley looked at her as she had to count for it herself. "A while... Right now we're at stardate 57505.34. We left Earth since..." Riley paused, they had been through so much that she honestly couldn't remember when they left. There been so much trauma, so much loss and new people. Her mind wondered off at all the patients she remembered treating. The moments of loss and grieving she went through, yet also the moment of happiness when they were on Theta for a brief breather. The partners she had shared there during the parties in the hot springs, the relaxing mood she had shared with some during Lohlunat . The angst and danger she experienced during the mutiny with Harbinger and Calamity. It all flashed through her head before she realized Faye could probably peek in and get a grasp of everything that went on. She blushed and looked back at Faye, right into her eyes "S-Sorry..." she murmured "Should've kept that to myself..." she offered sheepish.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Belatedly, Faye realized what she'd been felling must have shown on her face. The shock, the horror, the grief, mixed with a flash of desire, and a dose of shame. Shame, for her inability to keep from prying, as Riley Patterson's memories of the last few months washed over Faye like a wave cresting over a damn, sloshing down the sides of her mental fortifications and drowning her in the other woman's thoughts and feelings. They blossomed like a rose, and Faye drifted through it all, even though it was naught but scant seconds before Riley reigned herself in.
Tears did not fall, but pricked the edges of Faye's eyes as the young ensign dealt with the bitter losses Riley had seen. The memories were jumbled and scattered, no sense of time or organization was left from what Ens. Eloi-Danvers had gleaned, but what she had picked up left her with a much better sense of what had happened to the
Theurgy and her crew since Jupiter Station. There was heat in her cheeks as well, not only for the memories that Riley had of the
Lohlunat , and the encountered there, the now fleeting knowledge of just what the nurse sounded like when - well - not just from that. No, it also came from the shame of having invaded the woman's memories, even if she had not done so on purpose. The lack of control of her telepathic abilities was horrifying to Faye. Her only comfort was that it simply had to be a result of long term stasis.
There was simply no other explanation that the diplomat could come up with.
A full minute passed, of Faye starring into the depths of Riley's mind, their eyes locked together, before Riley's words registered with the Betazoid. She shut her eyes, drew in a shaking breath, slowly, and shook her head from side to side. There was no way that Faye was going to let the nurse take any of the blame here. She shouldn't have to watch her every thought - that was Faye's responsibility.
"No...I"m the one who is sorry. Sorry for invading your mind like that," her breath hitched a bit, "And...and sorry for everything. My gods what you've all been through while I just slept everything off..."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
The apology came from ensign Eloi-Danvers as she shook her head. She had seen everything that had flashed before Riley's eyes and Riley couldn't help but wonder if she even saw the parts that were more horrifying for people who hadn't received the correct training or the parts that were more personal to her when she engaged in sexual interactions. She did however not seem to mind to share it all as it in total gave Faye a good recap of what had happened. Riley's eyes dropping down to the floor for a second before looking back up at Faye.
"You need not to apologize ensign." she started as she smiled again, less vibrant, yet still with enough happiness in it. In fact Riley was rather curious to how and what Faye could see from her mind even now. Could she go and prod around in her head for certain things or would it only be the memories she selected? "The way I see it, you're now up to speed with what we've all been through." she said softly, not being proud about it as some of the events were more than traumatic. "Think of it the other way though... Sure you slept it all off, yet what would the alternative be?" she tried to reason with Faye before she couldn't help but adding teasingly "Plus, you wouldn't have your personal nurse to deal with if that were the case." she winked as her fingers pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. Riley gently bit her lower lip as she gazed at Faye's features before she let go of her and snapped back to her job at hand.
"Anyway! We need to get back to work ensign!" she stated with a renewed sense of motivation and joy "First off, we'll need to get you out of that patient gown. There's no way I'm letting you walk with that and risk having you lose the garment and trip over it." She stated, her mind quickly jumping to a flash where the scenario played out yet it never got to Faye falling down. The idea quickly cut short by Riley's mind as she realized Faye would be watching along as she imagined Faye suddenly naked as the gown had slid off while she supported herself on the walker. Her full body on display for the bubbly nurse. "Fuck..." she murmured to herself as she closed her eyes and looked back at Faye "Sorry, again..." she muttered "And also, don't apologize to peek in my head... I don't mind, I'm just going to warn you right now that you might see all kinds of weird thing." she smiled before she walked over to the replicator.
"You can pick what you want to wear, standard issue underwear and a uniform or would you rather have something else? Something more easier for therapy perhaps? Just let me know and I'll see what I can get out of the replicator." she said while looking back at Eloi-Danvers. She came to a full stop at the instrument once more and looked over he shoulder at her patient.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Gone in an instant, but briefly there, was the small flicker of amusement that crossed Faye's features as she realized that neither herself, nor Riley, seemed inclined to allow the other to take any kind of blame in the events that had just unfolded. They each seemed to be tripping over their own feet to apologize to the other, and there was something bordering on outragesously funny about the whole thing. Just a brief giggle, then control fell back into place as Faye nodded in understanding.
"I....Yes, its a bit jumbled, but I do know now," she agreed. She knew what they had gone through. And she had intimate knowledge of her 'personal nurse.'
At least Riley is taking it well, Faye silently allowed. Not many people would react as calmly - or lets be honest, as playfully - as Nurse Patterson seemed to be. Given the telepaths current state, that too was as much of a welcome balm as having been removed from the main recovery wing.
Seeing the nurse begin to take on a more professional stance again, Faye strived to do the same. She at up a bit straighter, still mostly covered by the sheet and her medical gown, and she lay both of her hands in her lap again, once more cradling the 'new' hand in her original right. Which, when she thought about it, disturbed her.
I lost my arm...what's here isn't real... she thought, before brushing the words aside and instead choosing to focus on something fare more pleasent - Riley Patterson. Of course, that proved to be something of a mistake as she got the mental image - crystal clear, this time - of her own bare back. And back side.
Oh My she flushed red in response and this time she was certain that there was no mistaking the source.
"Um....Its all right," she quietly told Riley, dry swallowing, and hiding her face behind a curtain of hair that fell over her eyes. "I think you give me a bit more.....credit than i deserve." She was convinced her bum did not look as good as the nurse had imagined. Chewing on her lip, Faye was flattered that the nurse had essentially just given her tacit premission to have free reign in the brunette's mind. Faye was fairly certain that Riley had no idea what that meant to a Betazoid. But it did tease a smile onto her lips as she pondered the woman's gaffe involving Faye and the hover walker, trying to decide which of the two of them was more embarrassed by that prospect.
Noting that Riley had moved to the replicator, the young Ensign swung her other foot over the edge of the bed, and shrugged off the blanket. The standard Federation blue medical gown revealed far more than it concealed, though it did happily close up at the back for the moment. But the diplomat's legs were very much on display, perhaps slightly less toned then they had been when going into stasis, but still holding the rich coloring that the rest of her skin seemed to show - including her replacement arm.
"If I'm supposed to be working out," Faye ventured, meeting those blue eyes again and managing not to look past them into the depths of Riley's subconscious, "I think something abit more practical than a full uniform would be good. Workout clothes, you know?" She found herself nervously rubbing the inside palm of her fake hand with the thumb of her real one, as her legs dangled off the edge of the biobed. "Gym shorts...sports bra, that kind of thing? I'm not really sure what would be best...you pick? Please?"
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
It wasn't that Riley wasn't concerned or worried about the betazoid going through her mind. It was just the fact that she didn't like keeping secrets. She always disliked dishonesty and figured that if she were to work closely with Faye for now, she might as well bare herself to her on a mental state as well. Of course, she counted on the discretion and self control of the betazoid to keep herself within reason.
As she succeeded in making her patient turn deep red before hiding it up with her brown locks, Riley looked away with a flush of her own as Faye replied that she gave her too much credit of her bare back and backside. She snickered a little before shrugging "Well, you don't have to see yourself short... Either way, I'm pretty sure that I'm not that far off. I've seen nude people quite a bit while on the job." she explained herself for her expertise.
By the time Riley had made eye contact again with the ensign, she noticed her legs hanging loosely from the bed as she dangled them. The smooth skin reflecting a little in the light before Riley pursed her lips as she considered the request of the woman for what she needed to wear. Her mind raced at the different outfits that she could wear, including picturing her a couple of times in diverse underwear and bra outfits before she settled her mind.
"Alright, but you'll have to try and put everything on yourself." she stated as it was part of her exercise in fact. She replicated a sports bra with a matching panty that would easily fit Faye in a colorful cherry color. The next product that got replicated was a hayden tank top that would expose the back of Faye, yet granted her more movement space with her shoulders and arms. This item was produced in a rather ink black color and last but not least she produced a pair of shorts that would reach halfway down Faye's femur. The last clothing piece was black of color and Riley was quick to grab all items and bring them over to the biobed.
She wondered if she had to turn around and let Faye try it on for herself without her peeking at her and letting her eyes roam over her body or if she had to stay and watch so she could help and intervene where necessary. She figured she could ask the young woman herself, however she imagined that by now Faye would have seen the doubt in her mind already. An additional question arising as she needed to voice out questions all the time or if she could just think about them and have Faye hear them like that? Her mind drifting off from there as she contemplated on how easy the mind reading would be when having a bad day with severe throat pain or when silence was forced upon them.
She shook her head stubbornly and sighed "Right... Think these'll do?" she asked her softly before she looked up at Eloi-Danvers. Wondering if she has made the right choice clothing wise and color wise. She never had a certain sense for fashion in her earlier years, so she doubted she grew in that field by any chance.

The red in her cheeks faded someone, settling for a rosy pink instead, that complemented her complexion nicely. She decided that, all things considered, taking the compliment was the best way to handle it, and did her best to keep out of Riley's head for a moment or two, managing not to pick up on the various and sundry bits of clothing that the nurse pictured her in. She looked up though as the nurse began to punch in commands to the replicator, instructing Faye, It made plenty of sense to the young betazoid that Riley would want her to try and dress herself. As good a test of motor skills as drinking that cup of tea had been, if not better. Of course, she'd have to stand up and the like, which would be...a bit more straining than taking a sip from a mug.
She felt eyes on her bare legs as the nurse collected the replicated outfit and turned her attentions back to the diplomatic officer. Faye drew a small circle with her toe against the floor, humming a bit as she let Riley settle her own thoughts again. Impressions drew her attention, and from that her mind delved into Riley's again, on its own accord. Down and down she went, picking up more and more/
Well! i can see she has a lot of questions, she thought to herself, focusing more on the logistics of what the nurse was pondering and not the flattering thoughts about her own person and how much that might be enjoyed.
Faye lifted her false hand up, and ran the thumb of it over her chin, pondering for a moment. It felt real, against the skin along he jaw, but at the same time, knowing it was fake made it seem wrong. Even if she could not tell a tactile difference. It frustrated the darker haired woman, but there was nothing she could do about it now. Or ever. A frown broke out across her brow, but she forced it away by sucking a slow breath through her nose.
"To answer your unasked questions," Faye began, quietly, and carefully, "Betazoids are a very open and honest, though we do our best to respect the boundaries of others." She slowly slides forward on the biobed, until her feet could touch the floor. "There are a lot of share thoughts, and yes, absolutely, its useful when someone has a sore throat. Mother found it infuriating, of course, since she wasn't a full telepath, but to father that kind of thing was second nature." She flashed Riley a small smile, before her face scrunched up in concentration and she put her weight on her feet. They slid a part a bit, and Faye felt slightly wobbly, before she got a sense of balance and straightened up until she was no longer supported by the bed.
"Well, that worked better than i'd feared, " she admitted, adjusting the hem of her gown. "I prefer to talk, if able...unless I'm sure the person I am with is comfortable with a more mental exchange." Faye chewed on her lip, and then, "having full access to one another's mind is an...intimate exchange for Betazoids, reserved for family...lovers...close friends, the like." And with the exception of an actual bonding, taking on an
Imzadi two way was impossible between a betazoid and a non betazoid. Without going into
those details, Faye did note that, "You wouldn't necessarily be able to hear my thoughts. So...speaking is better."
Meeting Riley's eyes, Faye took one step, then another, towards
her nurse, shaking at first, but managing to stagger forward, one step after another. She did not fall, and she did not accidentally lose her gown either. Finally however, she came to a stop in front of the other girl, and grinned. "Well. Didn't fall flat on my face yet." She beamed, her grief and depression momentarily pushed aside by the simple achievement. Holding out her hands for the clothes, she added, "We also don't have any sort of taboo's about being naked in front of others - as a people. Our wedding ceremonies are done in the buff." A shrug of her shoulders accompanied an almost impish smile as she added, "Though knowing someone is checking me out has been known to make me blush."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus When Faye suddenly started talking and addressed her unasked question, Riley felt her own cheeks heat up a little as they left her with a pink shade herself. It left her with more color in her face as she perked up and listened intently to what she had to say. She did however notice that the young betazoid was getting out of bed without the proximity of the walker. It urged a response from Riley to dash forward so she'd be in reach of her should she lose balance or fall down. Riley smiled a little as Faye shared how her mother found it infuriating. She placed her hands each about thirty centimeters away from her shoulders as she balanced herself, feet sliding a bit as she felt wobbly. She didn't intervene yet as Faye seemed to straighten herself without any intervention.
"You're doing great so far Faye." Riley acknowledged her statement that things were going better than imagined. As she adjusted the hem of her gown, Riley pulled her arms back and readied herself to hand over the clothes to her. "Talking works fine for me." she laughed softly and she nodded in an understanding way when she mentioned that having full access would be considered intimate among Betazoids. Riley remembered the mention of it during one of her classes back at the academy, yet it was all just a haze as it was delivered by one of the most boring professors during a far too warm period in the year. If only she had paid more attention then to what he had to say instead of dreaming off about laying on the beach or hanging out with some of the other cadets for a party.
Riley continued to nod slowly at her words while her eyes observed every move she made. She was doing great and it would seem that the walker might not be necessary at all at this stage. "So, did I overstep in that case by telling you to feel free to look in my mind?" she asked her carefully "I mean, it's not like I'm family or a close friend."
'Let alone a lover.' she felt the thought pass by before she looked back up at Faye. "I mean, I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable if it's considered to be quite intimate." she clarified her words before she smiled warmly at her.
In the meantime the good ensign made her first steps, carefully, yet with a good resolve. Riley extended her hands in front of her, should the need arise for her to clasp on to them should she lose balance. It worked out perfectly however for the woman as she came to a stop before Riley and her personal nurse beamed with the same joy and sense of success like she did. "I'd say it was a great achievement so far, especially for being in stasis for so long." she answered her. Her muscles seemed to be less affected than some of the others that she had seen coming out of stasis. Which was great news for the ensign. Riley handed over the clothes to Faye and her own cheeks turned a shade darker when Faye mentioned that there was no taboo about nudity.
Riley did wonder how those wedding ceremonies would go. Would everyone be without any attire? Would it lead to awkward situations at times? She could only imagine a ceremony like that with her family. Some of her nephews would probably show more on display if they saw her nude. With a bit of annoyance, Riley shook her head again as if to rid herself of the mental picture, hoping and wondering if Faye had picked up on it or not.
"Well, humans sometimes have that boundary still... Luckily for you, medical staff are subjected to it regularly so I'm not too embarrassed myself when I'm nude." she offered with a sheepish smile. "As for checking out..." she added teasingly "I'll do my utmost best to remain professional ensign." she answered with a playful wink before she nodded at her "Just let me know if you need any help or if I need to hand you something." she offered as she didn't turn around. The risk of her falling when trying clothes on was possible so she needed to be ready in case something like that would occur.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
As more time passed in each others company, Faye quickly came to the conclusion that both of them would take on a permanent pink tinge, at the rate they were going. It caused a tiny giggle to slip out of her lips, and she shook her head ever so slightly, while smiling, standing there in the gown. Riley's enthusiasm was a balm, even if her erratic thoughts were terribly distracting. The fact that the nurse saw her ability to stumble about but not flat out fall as a good sign was a relief. At least for the diplomat. With everything that had happened in the last half hour or so, Faye would take any and all sources of reassurance she could find.
The shake became more prominent as Faye replied softly, "You didn't overstep. As a rule, we don't expect outsiders to understand the customs of our people, and we don't hold it against them in the slightest." She paused, then amended, "Ok, most of us don't, and even the best of us have limits. Especially around male Ferengi." She made a scrunched up face, "Great businessmen but manners...yick." Then flashed an apologetic look over her features, "Not a very egalitarian, Federation opinion to have. I blame it on the stories I hear and - I'm rambling." She shut up promptly, looking a wee bit abashed. For a diplomat, she had blundered just then, and she though about how TharinAlk would scold her -
except he'll never scold me again.A leaden weight settled into the pit of her stomach with that stark realization and she prayed to whatever gods were listening then and there that her face did not betray what she'd just considered. It would be unfair to Riley, she concluded as she kept her features relatively blank. A diplomats face - or a poker players.
It didn't last long however, as Faye took the clothing from Riley, and listened to her words - and thoughts. The later of which had her grinning a bit, and shaking her head, despite the depression that had threatened to wash over her.. She carefully spread the garments out, nodding in agreement with what had been chosen. With more than a little curiosity, Faye ran her fingers over the fabric, getting a feel for it.
Should feel good - provided i can get it on without making a fool of myselfFor all of Faye's talk about Betazoids and nudity, and Riley's assurances that as a medical professional she'd be unperturbed, there was a hint of modest concern in the back of Faye's mind. So she decided to just get on with it, and kept up the conversation with Riley. Reaching back behind her to undo the clasp on the gown was an outright pain in the ass. Her left arm didnt quite want to get into place properly, so she had to twist about to get her right arm there instead. Fingers bumbled about, but eventually found what was needed, after some grunts, and then it came undone in the back. As Riley was facing Faye from the front, that had to be an amusing sight to see.
"Hate these things," the diplomat muttered as she rolled her shoulder, feeling it slide down, catching the garment with her false hand against her chest. Her cheeks were a bit flushed, and this time it had nothing to do with embarrassment. Distracting herself from her frustration with the bloody thing, before she let it drop entirely, Faye informed Riley that, "Betazoid weddings - when I say in the buff, I mean in the buff. Everyone. Not a shred of clothing on. Its just not seen as a big deal or concern among our people. But it is hilarious when we have guests from other planets join in. We don't mock younger ones, that might not be able to control reactions but well - men are men, what can you really expect, right? I imagine your poor nephews would be having their eyes popping out - among other things." The impish look was back as she bit her lip and removed the rest of the gown. She was, from head to toe, that same golden skin tone - no tan lines visible, though there wasn't much of a tan to her period, simply the natural shade granted by genetics.
The Betazoid was distracted as she gave herself a once over, wobbling with a loss of balance for a moment as she twisted about. Her lithe body was on full display at this point, from her perky breasts, to the small, neatly trimmed patch of dark curls just above her womanhood, all the way down to the tips of her toes - devoid of polish, that left Faye wondering what had happened to it. Her tattoo was still in place, but the nail polish she'd worn on her toes and fingers were gone. She was staring at her arm, looking for some kind of seam, and gently prodding it with her finger. "I...I can't tell where one ends and the other begins..."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus Riley picked in on what Faye said as she was curious about Betazoid customs now that she got assigned to work so closely with one. "I'd like to learn more about your people if you'd be up to it. Like later I mean, when you're all better and such." she answered a bit clumsily before she closed her eyes and straightened her face.
Why the hell was it so hard to just behave like a normal person around her?Her statement about Ferengi made her laugh a little as she shrugged her shoulders "I've not had a chance to have a full on conversation with a Ferengi yet. So I can't judge really." she offered while looking back up in Faye's eyes. "But I'm curious though, what do you mean with manners, strictly speaking as a girl, not as a diplomat." she fished for answers while Eloi-Danvers seemed to zone out for a second before she spread the clothing, inspected it and got a feel for it.
Riley wanted to offer help in opening the clasp, yet it was sort of funny to see Faye pull different kind of faces while trying to open it. Riley was about to suggest to use the arm with the prosthethic enhancement on it, yet just than, Faye opened up the clasp before sharing how much she hated the medical gowns. Riley could only nod slowly as she heard the complaint with multiple patients before. "If it would make you feel any better, at least you managed to get it off without falling over." she teased her with a cheeky smile.
Patterson noted that the gown slipped down before Faye caught it at her chest. A pause visible as Riley bit her lower lip a little before the fabric slid down and pooled down at her feet. Riley bent through her knees and picked up the gown, removing it from the area around her feet. She didn't want the diplomat to accidentally step on it and trip. When she looked up however, her eyes followed the long smooth legs of Faye. They rolled up over her mound which was decorated with the neatly trimmed pubic hair. Riley stood up now, her eyes following over her taut stomach and perky breasts with distinct aureoles before she got back on eye level with Faye. The process only lasting a second as she couldn't help but laugh a little as Faye told her in the meantime about the wedding ceremonies.
"Do you expect people from other planets to participate in it? Or do they wear their own.. 'Traditional' outfits? I mean, I can imagine it would lead to some chaotic situations at mixed weddings?" Riley asked, intrigued by it before she had to laugh a bit louder as her cheeks turned back to the darker shade of red when Faye mentioned her nephews "if they're anything like what I remember them to be... I'm pretty sure something else would pop far sooner before their eyes would. Then again, you've got a point though, boys will be boys." she winked jokingly as she could appreciate the impish smile Faye gave her. "I would like to attend a ceremony like that at some point... In fact, I've always been curious about customs and traditions of other races." she admitted before she glanced over Faye's body in a whole one quick time.
While Faye inspected her left arm and new extension, Riley disposed of the gown and returned to her. She watched her feel up the skin and prosthetic arm, the difference normally not able to be felt. Yet Riley knew where to look and feel, she knew where Nicander would have made his incision to remove the necrosis or damage to the tissue. She looked up at Faye before she stepped closer to her, closing the distance between them as she whispered "Allow me.." her hand reached out and her delicate soft fingers started at her elbow, reaching up almost halfway. She gave the skin a gentle prod before her finger circled around "Right there... That's where he stitched it together..." she said carefully, her eyes looking at the skin before looking up at Faye. "It's all part of you now though... Nobody would even be able to tell the difference. Not even the most closest lover," she assured Faye "Unless you date a surgeon or doctor that is." she teased her.
The temperature in the room they were in was climatized, not overly cold, yet not warm enough to linger around naked for too long. Riley figured it wouldn't be long before Faye's body would react to the cooler air "Come on hun, lets try to get you dressed. We can examine the arm after that too." she encouraged Faye to carry on.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Dark eyes seemed to pool for a moment as Riley stepped in to take a gentle hold of Faye's arm. She forgot about everything else as she watched, and listened, really listened. Casting aside any lingering concerns about being naked or out of shape, or even the guilt of surviving while everyone else had died, Faye focused completely on what Riley was showing her. The point where her arm ended and this thing welded onto her body began. Except, as the nurse pointed out, this ....this prosthetic was a part of her now. As indistinguishable from the rest of her body as her right arm was.
To the untrained eye. To Faye's eyes. Even knowing, exactly where it was - shivering under the touch of Riley's fingers as the woman traced the line of her skin, made it clear where one began and the other ended, and caused a burst of goosebumps to cover her flesh - the Betazoid could see no difference. We she a surgeon -
Or a nurse- - she might, but a simple diplomat? No. She couldn't tell a difference at all. It just looked like....like her arm. She chewed on the side of her lip again, those big eyes shifting from Riley's fingers, to her face, seeing the sincerity there, and as such, she gave the nurse a small nod, just a tiny jerk of her head. She understood. Making herself accept it might take some time, but she understood.
"Huh? OH! Right," she glanced down then, seeing her bare hip bumping up against Riley's standard issue uniform clad legs, and nodded again. "Clothes." Shaking her head a bit, as if to clear a fog from it, she gently removed herself from the other woman, rolling all her words around in her head, realizing she'd left many question unanswered. Swallowing and scolding herself for her lapse, she turned, too fast, and wobbled again. Thankfully there was the edge of the table that her clothing was laid out on, and she caught herself on it, steady - with her left hand. Taking it as a good sign she squared her shoulders and reached over to grab the sports bra. It was a simple thing, and with her back (and bum) to Riley, she began to thread her arms into the straps.
"Speaking strictly as a girl,"she began, as she wiggled her way into the bra, her right arm having a much easier time of getting between the straps than her left, "Ferengi males are, on the whole, lecherous pigs. Most men are - bless them - somewhat horn dogs, but the Ferengi take it to the extreme. Did you know - ha! - " she'd gotten both arms through and began to pull them up, br tangled between them, stretching out her back - "That they forbid their women to wear clothing at all? And that they have them
chew their food for the men? I mean,
really!?" Her voice became muffled as she struggled to pull the bra over her head. It made a mess of her hair and took too long, but she managed, huffing after, "They don't let the women do anything at all in their society! Its - gah! Its horrible is what it is." She huffed again as she tugged the bottom band over her modest bust, tucking them out of sight behind the bright fabric.
Pleased that she had the thing in place -and unaware that she was further flushed by the effort, Faye shot a bright smile over her shoulder at Riley, while her right hand groped about for the matching panties. "Boys will be boys bless them - and Men will be Men. They're wonderful really, but well - Betazoid culture knows full well that men think with the wrong head half the time." She grinned, teasing now, "but Ferengi are simply atrocious about it. I'd not invite them to a betazoid wedding, to say the least. They'd openly leer." On a roll now, she turned and bent right over - and nearly fell. Grasping the table edge, she laughed, and carefully lifted a leg to thread a foot awkwardly through first one hole, then the other. getting her panties in place and trying to - slowly- pull them up without falling on her face. This was proving much more difficult as she rambled on.
"We...encourage visiting guests to join in our traditions, especially if the bride it Betazoid. Its a Matricarchl society and by adopting to our customs, it shows great respect for the bride to be. We make allowances, of course, but we really do want the main parties participating - the parents of both partners, their immediate family - to partake. its all about honesty and openness, which we feel are - huff - key to a proper, happy marriage." She stood up, pulling the orange fabric over her ass, the waistband snapping into place at her hips. "There we go!" She turned around and leaned back against the table, catching her breath. Using the table for support this time, she started in on the shorts, taking much longer to ease them into place. But it was the smart move - with the table supporting her weight, she didn't struggle as much.
Feeling terribly alone on the ship, and frankly enjoying the bright nature of 'her' nurse, Faye decided then and there that she'd like to keep Riley around. It was bold and impulsive but she doubted the nurse would mind. And frankly - Faye knew she was the kind of person that needed people in he life. Despite - or because of - the more isolated nature of her childhood, Faye did not do well completely removed from society. She needed friends. And if nothing else (inappropriate thoughts aside) she suspected that Riley could be one. With that in mind, she added, pulling the pants into place, "I would be happy to -
huff - answer any questions you had about Betazoid culture. Or any culture really. As you can imagine, we diplomats have a lot of lessons in those departments.
Reaching now for the tank top she paused, catching her breath, holding the darker fabric in her left hand. "I'm not sure how likely we'll be to get to go to a real wedding any time soon but...theres a holodeck on board, right? Quite a few?" She paused, nodded, and giggled a bit, "If they survived, there are probably protocol training programs that we could adapt. Not as fun as the real thing - and no nephews to embarrass - but it could be fun?"
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @BrutusRiley stopped slowly when she had encircled the arm entirely and looked back up at Faye. She seemed to be processing her words as she kept looking at the arm yet she saw the look in her eyes. The look some amputee survivors had, people who had received prosthesis yet had a rough time accepting them. In the worst cases, patients would go as far as try and remove the alien object from their body by tearing, ripping or cutting the skin away. It didn't seem to go that far with Faye however as she had the look of understanding what she had now. Riley made a mental note to keep an eye out for a change in behavior, however she imagined there wouldn't be any more problems.
The gentle bump of Faye's bare his against her own legs. She looked down at the contact and smiled faintly as Faye seemed to go in overdrive. The shake of her head was somewhat recognizable for Riley and it made her giggle silently as the ensign made her way back to the table. She rested against it for a second as Riley stepped closer and watched her take the sports bra. Riley had a pretty good view of her gold skinned back and rear. Her eyes venturing over it and remarking to herself that she indeed was quite right about the frame of her bum.
Her eyes shifted back over her body as she seemingly lost balance once yet recuperated in time. Next she tried to put on the piece of clothing which seemed to go according to plan. In the meantime Patterson listened fascinated to the cultural hierarchy within the Ferengi. She was rather shocked at how they treated their women and her mouth fell open a little as she'd be unable to function with a male Ferengi in a relationship. Riley would be too much in control of her own actions and accords that it would probably turn into one fight after another. "Really? they're that primitive?" Riley asked, sounding rather harsh, yet she couldn't figure any other way to spill her thoughts about them. By that time Faye had managed to stretch the bra to cover her breasts and she was ready for the next item.
Her statement about men had Riley laughing as Faye gave her a smile over her shoulder. She nodded as she had a rather healthy interest in men herself. Men would indeed be men, strong, pretty and needed, yet sometimes they'd be so oblivious and just too riled up to think straight and make correct calls. As she mentioned Ferengi presence at weddings, she nearly dropped over, her head coming dangerously close to the edge of the table. Head trauma was the last thing Riley wished for the ensign and just while she grabbed herself by the table, Riley's hands had grabbed her by the hips. to prevent her from losing further balance. It was the second time that Riley felt the skin of the diplomat now, although this time it was more lower. Her soft hands rested against the albeit soft skin of the young woman. "Careful now." Riley warned her sweetly as her hands slowly slipped back when she was sure that Faye wouldn't drop down. Her finger slipped off her skin slowly and she remained close behind miss Eloi-Danvers in case she had a relapse.
Carrying on she watched her pull on her panties with a snap they seemed to be in perfect place and Faye seemed happy about the completion of the task at hand. Riley snickered and gazed over her underwear and figured she stood with the outfit. She nodded and said nothing more while hearing her ramble on about Betazoid being a matriarchal society. She couldn't really grasp what it truly meant, yet she figured she could always ask Faye alter. her eyes followed her while she pulled on her shorts. The ensign using the table as solid cover to not trip over.
When Faye mentioned that she'd be happy to share any cultural traditions and even Betazoid traditions with her Riley smiled brightly "I'd like that really." she answered truthfully, she recognized that Faye was somewhat out of breath and she saw her grab the final piece of clothing before she rested her hand on hers "Hold on there." she said as she produced her own tricorder from her pocket and scanned her over "You're a bit flushed, so take your time. We're not doing a marathon here." she assured her with a smile.
While she took a look at the readings Faye suggested a wedding at one of the holodecks. It made Riley smirk and snicker as she shrugged "I suppose I'll have to go according to Betazoid traditions right?" she asked Faye somewhat playful as the readings showed an elevated pulse yet decent saturation levels. Her blood pressure was a bit elevated, yet the circulation seemed fine. It was quite possible that her muscles had a hard time keeping up with the actions of the diplomat. Perhaps a meal would help...
"Plus, would I have to find a plus one for myself for such a thing?" she asked as she wondered who would be crazy enough to go along with her for such a thing "And do you need a plus one for that matter?" she asked her more teasingly. She wondered what type of guy would fit Faye that she had encountered already. Yet the idea sparked in her head that she might not swing that way. Or maybe she liked both genders? She remembered in her academy years that Betazoids were mostly bisexual. "Either way," she continued "I would love to run along in one of the simulations. If only to get the feel how such things would be." she answered.
She put the tricorder away once more and slipped it back in her pocket before she took the top from Faye's hand "Come on, let me help you put this on. Don't want you to pass out." she offered as she spread it out and waited for the diplomat to put her arms through the corresponding holes. The rest would be easy as it was just pull it over her head so she could adjust it to her own liking. "Do you have any preferences for a meal? Like... A toast maybe with some peanut butter and jam with some tea?" she suggested as she didn't want to strain the stomach of the diplomat with anything solid warm food just yet.

While Faye wanted to satisfy the deep desire to prove that she was ok and rearing to go, she understood the concern in Riley's voice, and reminded herself that, of the two of them, Riley was the medical professional. As she would expect the Nurse to take queues from her at a diplomatic conference or a first contact situation, so too would Faye be expected to follow instructions from Riley when it came to matters of health.
In short, listen to your nurse, she scolded herself and managed a relieved smile for the lighter haired brunette, quiet while the hum of the tricroder played over her body.
She picked up a lot of impressions, bouncing around in the other woman's mind, and she felt her cheeks stay that rosey pink that they'd been since she started the whole effort of getting dressed. Combined with the memory of Riley's hand on her hip, Faye was pretty confident that the blush was not related to exertion this time. She found herself drawing a circle on the tile again, with her right toe, while she juggled a few thoughts. Dismissing the Ferengi question entirely - she'd not include those in any simulations the two went on, she focused on the rest of it, settling in on a course of action. Her smile grew as Riley spoke and she caught her own breath and found that she was nodding along as the nurse.
"Well, one doesn't have to have a plus one for a wedding if they are the guests, but it doesn't hurt," she pursed her lips, and grinned a bit wider, watching the lights of the Findberger scanner in Riley's hand trill about, the tricorder it came from displaying the results for the other woman. Results of which Faye could not see at all. "Truth be told I don't really know anyone else on the ship any more, but even so," her foot stretched out, not quite touching Riley's leg, before it swung back down, "Much more fun just to take you as my plus one, I'm thinking." Sure, she was being playful, but there was an undercurrent to her tone, just a hint of worry that she might overstep - despite knowing what was going through Riley's head. At the end of the day the shell shocked ensign was desperate to make connections again.
"If the idea is to fully experience the wedding tradition properly, Miss Patterson, then you will be expected to adhere to that tradition." Faye forced an almost singsong aspect into her voice, eyes sparking for a moment, before she added, "And traditionally speaking, there tends to be an anteroom for changing before entering the ceremony parlor. So you won't have to stroll through the whole town - or ship in this case - bare before hand." She somehow imagined the Captain would not take kindly to that.
With a gentle sigh, having made it clear she wasn't interested in anyone else tagging along on their cultural exchange - whenever it might take place - Faye relented and agreed to accepting help from Riley, with the top. She leaned forward, her bangs hiding her face again, enjoying simply being near someone friendly. And having only one mind to deal with, for the moment. That it was a bubbly mind was nice, sure, but all the same, Faye basked in the relative tranquility it provided. Those dark eyes of hers opened again, and met Riley's face when she suggested eating something.
"I feel...." how did she feel? She paused, and took stock, settling on, "Oddly famished. Usually when I'm upset or sad I'm not hungry at all." She had plenty to feel bad about, "But....yeah, I'm outright starving." A sheepish expression flashed over her, as she curled her hands into her lap again, now fully dressed. Rubbing her two thumbs together she gave a gentle nod, "I'll trust your recommendation. I feel like I could eat a Targ, but those are really, really gamy and I"m not sure thats wise." Her smile firmed up a bit, "and surprise me with the tea. I'm a sucker for sweet things though."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus Riley was standing far closer to Faye than she had imagined when she saw the feet of the ensign draw a circle, before extending to almost touch her leg and drawing back as she listened to what Faye had to say. The undercurrent to her tone alerting the nurse yet she let it wash over her as she didn't seem to take any offense to the suggestion. Even more so, she seemed to embrace it. Riley wasn't shy to flirt with both sexes. She had experimented during her Academy years and found herself attracted to both genders, she had share d the bed with both men and women and found herself to be equally happy with both parties on an emotional and physical level.
Once the scan was complete, Riley played with the idea of having Faye as her plus one. It'd be a new experience and to be hones,t the thought of hooking up with a betazoid for a wedding was sort of enthralling. Who else would be the perfect guide on the holodeck besides her. "I'd like to have you as a plus one. I'm pretty sure though that you'll get to know more people besides silly me though in no time." Riley answered. Her voice sounding more serious instead of playful now as she wanted the ensign to know that she didn't intend to toy around with her feelings.
The next response about fully experiencing the wedding and heading for the anteroom made Riley snicker as she nodded "Duly noted Miss Eloi-Danvers." she answered, this time more playfully as she felt Faye toying with her as well "I suppose not strolling through the ship bare would be greatly appreciated by certain officers." she replied as she could only imagine the complaints security would receive. She did wonder how many security officers would show up to 'investigate' the situation.
Once she had helped Faye with the top she made sure she looked in perfect shape clothing wise and when the good ensign green lit her for a meal, Riley nodded with a wink. "I'll try to not disappoint." she answered and walked back to the replicator before she punched in the commands. She returned with something different than she had mentioned, preferably Riley would have cooked the meal herself, yet the replicated food would have to do for now. She had three pieces of toasted bread with a sunny side up on the side. Furthermore there were some straps of bacon for her which looked rather crispy. In addition to that she also had a cup of tea with her. She placed everything on the table and grabbed a chair for Faye to take a seat.
"May I present you with Herbal Alpine tea with a pinch of honey added to it to make it somewhat sweeter. You'll find it to be rather fresh at the start before the sweet rush sets in." Riley warned her before taking a chair herself to take a seat opposite of her. She sat down herself once Faye had taken her place and provided her with the cutlery needed to enjoy the meal "Anything else you'd wish to add to the plate? Sauce wise or so?" Riley asked her with a smile as she took the PADD she worked on earlier to use the time while Faye would eat to report back to Nicander with a detailed report of her observations.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Faye could feel how much Riley seemed to enjoy the idea of the little cultural exchange being between just the two of them, going as each others 'plus one' to the fictional wedding. The nurse wasn't upset by the prospect - far from it in fact. And more so, she was reassured that Riley wasn't trying to take advantage of her. Riley Patterson truly believed that she'd make plenty of friends in no time, but still wanted to go along with Faye. One didn't need to be a telepath to pick up on that, but it certainly didn't hurt things either. This lead to a relived, and pleased smile on her face as she shared a laugh with the nurse. "Indeed not, Miss Patterson," she replied, adopting the same speech patterns as her nurse did, clearly amused at the idea of Security being called in.
With food settled on, and the fleeting impression of a desire to actually cook instead of just use a replicator bouncing around in her head, Faye's relieved smile took on a more intrigued cadence. The banter back and forth was keeping her mind off the fact that she was the sole survivor of her department, and while Faye had little doubt that her dreams would be haunted for some time to come, right now, her companion was keeping her relatively grounded. She needed that, and quietly promised herself that she would return the favor to Riley at some point - and Dr. Nicander, for that matter, for assigning the Nurse to care for her, and getting her out of that crowded sickbay.
And then Riley was back, food in hand, setting at table for the betazoid, shooting her a flattering smile and pulling a chair aside for Faye to sit in. In response, the raven haired Ensign countered by tapping the fingers of her right hand against her chest, and attempted to give her best impression of her mother, with a simple, "All this for lil'ole me?" She rapidly followed that with a batting of her eyelashes, before she giggled and sat down, sighing softly. Faye had barely been on her feet since she'd been revived -
defrosted - and yet sitting in a chair was a welcome relief, almost as much as Riley's acceptance of her offer.
Taking the mug of tea in hand, Faye closed her eyes and drew in a long breath through her nose, just as she had with the Tarkalian mug earlier. This was quite a different brew, but no less welcoming, and the first sip was rather sharp, as she'd been warned. She picked up much more of the flavor of the tea, before the sinfully cloying sweetness the honey settled in over-top the natural tea flavor itself, triggering a nearly orgasmic moan of pure delight. "Oh, oh my, that is nice!" Faye exclaimed, her eyes wide in approval. She took another sip, and had to restrain herself from focusing solely on the tea.
Placing the tea cup aside, she leaned over the meal itself and settled on picking up one of the pieces of toast. She didn't want to risk over doing things, so she shook her head at the offer. "This is fine, really. Its more than enough," she informed the nurse, munching around a mouthful of toast and swallowing before adding, "You didn't even have to do this much for me. Truly." She paused, quiet for a moment, before stressing, "Thank you." It was heartfelt, a bit more emotional than the young officer had intended, and her cheeks colored again. So to draw attention away from that, Faye dug into the food with a passion, pulling some of the egg over top one of the toast slices and cutting them up together, letting the yoke spill out and soak into the bread underneath, following that mouthful with a crispy bite of the bacon.
It wouldn't take Faye long at all to devour the meal, as with that first bite she gained a better appreciation for just how hungry she was.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus The flattering smile made Riley's cheeks turn a bit more rose as she asked if everything was fer her "Oh yeah, it sure is." she had replied with a wink, knowing most stasis revivals would have a good appetite, trick was to not overfeed them with too heavy consumables. When Faye sat down, Patterson looked over her for a second before he had gone to her seat and noticed that he body of the sign did appreciate the rest, a more calm and relaxed posture in comparison to when she was standing up for her clothes.
With a curious look in her eyes the petty officer looked over the PADD as Faye took the mug in her hands and caressed it before taking a sip from it. While spying on the ensign as she felt the sharp fresh taste, Rileys foot hooked behind her chair, tapping up and down a little without actually making a sound. The moan Faye gave her only colored the cheeks of the nurse even more as she had to giggle and placed the PADD down. "It's something I had to drink when I visited my grandparents in Switzerland." she answered softly before shrugging "Always tasted great and was a good thing to start your day with." she answered.
"Your welcome." was the response of the lighter brown haired nurse before she continued on her report. She looked over to Faye from time to time as she started to dig in truly in the meal now and she had to smirk a little as piece by piece of the contents were being eaten. She had seen Faye blush once more, yet thought nothing more about it as she let her enjoy the meal in peace. Patterson herself remained silent as well and after a couple of minutes her observations and remarks were noted and saved for Nicander to read when he had the time.
The stomach of the young nurse growled a little to her own surprise though after placing the PADD down and she placed her left hand against her stomach to silence it as she had a rather surprised look on her face. The food smelled pretty good, despite it being replicated. The real thing would've probably had her mouth water and increase the urge to steal a strap of bacon. "How is it ?" she asked the good ensign.
In the back of her mind Riley thought about the next exercise already. She did keep in mind that the ensign had just eaten so any heavy physical exercise would be out of the picture for now. Perhaps some mental and cognitive tests would be most suitable after the meal. Tests that cadets would get presented during their time at the Academy with increasing difficulty as the subject would pass through more and more.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Pausing with a mouthful of bacon, Faye grinned up at Riley and swallowed, before taking another sip of the tea. She shivered, pleased as the flavor washed over her again, and set the mug down. Tracing the wet rim of the cup with her finger tip, her dark eyes shot up to Riley's brighter ones as she stated with utter conviction, "You're grandparents have excellent taste. And so do you. I really am enjoying this." Her finger tapped the cup, as if to punctuate the point.
The duo fell into a comfortable silence that Faye appreciated as much as the company. Being able to sit quietly with someone was not an easy skill - often the silence would become awkward, but so far it didn't seem to be the case. As a diplomat silence was a tool, but yet often something she was called upon to fill. Right now, she didn't have to, and that too was a welcome boon. The last person she had dated, back on the
Cortes had abhorred any long silence. It was a sure sign that things between them were not going to work out, and she was right. She'd ended things fairly swiftly, more the better for her, less so for him.
Men, she thought with a small smile as she popped another bit of bacon into her mouth. The silence was broken by a rumble, and for a moment Faye thought it her own stomach, but soon realized the source. Grinning, she cut up a bit of the egg, speared it into a piece of toast with a nibble of bacon trapped between and then held it up for Riley. "See for yourself. Or taste, I suppose," she replied, offering up the forkful with a wicked little grin. "Just don't expect me to chew it for you first."
After the bite was shared, and Faye's giggles calmed down, she settled back, clearing the plate, and then picking up the tea. She could feel the gears spinning inside Riley's head. Satisfied that her stomach wasn't going to immediately rebel, Faye was...eager to prove herself. She could only imagine what need the ship had for a diplomat, after the scattered thoughts she'd gained from Riley about the past few months.
Theurgy needed her, plain and simple and she needed to ....matter.
"So, Miss Patterson," she broached the subject, keeping her tone light as she could, lips pressed to the rim of the cup and her foot once again drawing circles under the table. "What's the next step?"
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus With a approving smile and nod, Riley acknowledged what Faye said to her about her grandparents and herself having a great taste. The silence was a welcome change and Riley did enjoy the feeling to need to speak or chatter about anything fora little while as the ensign filled herself with the needed meal. When her own stomach gave her away though, Riley quickly enough made contact with Faye's eyes as she grinned.
"Oh, no, really, you shouldn't..." the nurse tried to avoid eating yet the second growl from her abdomen proved her point to be pointless after all. Faye urged her to see or taste for herself and Patterson sighed softly before leaning in carefully. Before she took the food in she replied with a coy grin "I'd appreciate it if you didn't." She settled her eyes on the speared up food and carefully pursed her lips around the fork before slipping it off slowly. She didn't spill, yet she had brought her hand up to Faye's wrist to keep the fork steady. She started to chew and gave a low soft moan in appreciation as the taste of solid(yet replicated) food did seem to be better than she imagined.
The peace settled back in between the two girls before Eloi-Danvers spoke up once more. Addressing Riley with her surname once more as she seemed very eager to prove herself for the next test. Patterson smiled briefly before she turned the PADD around and shoved it towards Faye across the table. "Try linking up with the network and search for the Academy's aptitude test. Once you found it, tinker away at it." she instructed her as it was a good exercise to see if she could navigate through the network and her skills to use a PADD.
While she looked at Faye when she picked up the PADD she rose up from her seat and walked over to the replicator to get a drink of her own. Producing a bottle of water with two cups, she looked over her shoulder to the dark haired diplomat "Would you like some more tea or something else?" she asked her softly.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Still amused by feeding Riley - it really had been cute to watch, and the noises she made, well - Faye was not quite bouncing in her seat as the nurse agreed to begin the rests. She then slid a PADD right over to Faye, who blinked in surprise. She had expected something a bit more physical, having not picked up on Riley's intentions before hand. Just cause she'd been given permission to read the nurses mind like a book did not mean that she had any intention of doing so, certainly not constantly.
If i can help it at least, she added, dour and silent.
"The aptitude tests?" She asked, her face scrunching up a bit, before her eyebrows roes in understanding. She'd been tossed about like a ball, bounced all over the room when the - well, it wasn't an accident, now was it? When the attack on the
Theurgy occurred. She must have bumped her head a few times. Making sure her mental facilities were intact, after a projected stay in stasis, had to be just as important as her physical ones. A starship duty posting wasn't just hard on the body, after all; it taxed one's mine, and arguably, one's soul. And while she couldn't say anything about the state of the latter just then, her mind, well, she could prove it sharp as ever.
For a brief moment she toyed with plucking the path out of Nurse Patterson's mind to prove to herself she had that level of telepathic control, but dismissed it swiftly. That wasn't what was being tested, after all. The corners of her lips turned up a bit as she started tapping away, her dark eyes moving in turn when Riley got up to go to the replicator once more. The smile grew wider, as the first test loaded on her PADD and she answered the pretty nurse.
"Is there such a thing as too much tea?" She asked, only half kidding. "If so, just stop me about....one cup short of that." Her smile was bright, as she leaned back in her chair again, tucking one bare foot up under her bum, and raising the other one to brace against the table. From there, she planted the PADD against her thigh and began to work her way - slowly - through the Dynamics Rotation Test. Not exactly one of her strong suits,it featured a spinning 3D cube consisting of a grid of blue dots in a 6×6×6 configuration, totaling 216 individual points. Surrounding the cube were 216 red dots flying around in a seemingly random pattern. To complete this test each of the red dots must match up with a blue dot. The solution required discovering the appropriate rotation factor and vector coordinates.
Her brow furrowed as she began to use both hands to manipulate the display, twisting things about, tweaking variance settings and the like. Not exactly something she'd need in the middle of a diplomatic conference, but then again, maybe she would? One could never tell what would end up being important in the heat of the moment - and that was the point of the aptitude test. All Starfleet officers need a well rounded knowledge base. But shortly after the next cup of tea arrived, the PADD let out a thrilling beep, signalling the completion of the test.
"Ha!" She exclaimed, sticking her tongue out at the PADD, "Take that!"
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus The surprise on Faye's face was worth a picture and Riley figured that she hadn't read her mind after all which left her with a feeling of confidence that the Betazoid wouldn't be prodding her mind 24/7. Her scrunched up face as she had to start in combination with the relaxed seating she took mad her look rather cute, even more attractive as Riley let her eyes linger over her. The diplomat surely was very easy on the eyes.
She requested more tea and considering how much she had enjoyed the tea from before, Riley punched in for a refill and filled two cups with the brew. She left the water for what it was, figuring they might use it when they'd be going back to physical tests. She brought he bottle with the cups back to the table first, looking over to the diplomat as she worked her test with deep concentration to the bare eye. She returned to the replicator and fetched the two cups of tea and returned them to the table as well. She slid the cup of Faye over to her right when her test gave a beep of completion. "Nicely done.." Riley answered, noting to herself that this was one of the better times in which one would finish such a test. If anything, the ensign didn't seem to suffer from any head trauma on first sight.
"If you want to, you can take on the harder ones as well." Riley offered as she brought the cup to her lips. Before she sipped from it she inhaled the scent of it, still noticing the difference between the real brew and the replicated one, yet it came close enough before she took in a minute sip. Te flavor explosion was amazing and made her tingle on the inside each and every time. "Mmh.." she moaned softly as she closed her eyes for a second "In fact... If you do the harder ones, would you mind if I peeked along?" she suggested playfully. It wasn't standard procedure to be observed while doing the tests, yet it added more stress to the situation. Technically it was a way to check how well the ensign performed under pressure, yet it was a good excuse to come and sit next to her and peek along.
"Alternatively, we could start with the physical tests after that or in a bit. You still have some weights to lift, just to check how your muscle mass and new arm hold up with added weights and after that a bit of walking. If you perform those tests with success, you might even get some treadmill exercises." Riley added as she laid out the planning for her. After successfully completing those tasks she'd be cleared by Riley to head back to her quarters.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
"Anything would make the physics test more bearable," she said with a giggle, placing the PADD back on the table for a moment and sipping the tea in turn. The noise she made was close to the one that Riley had made when she'd drank from her mug, a pleased, appreciative little moan. "Mmmmm, nice and sweet," she concluded, licking her lips and placing the tea cup down on the table and running her fingertip back over the top of it.
Which, she pondered intently,
do i want to do first? The next aptitude test, or something physical.... In the end, the thought of having Riley a bit closer won out. She was starved for companionship, she realized (again), and was willing to take a little advantage of it. Given everything that she had learned, and everything she had experienced in Riley's memories, that desire won out over her need to prove to herself that she was physically able to go back to duty.
And if I'm being honest, I'm not sure I am physically ready. Getting dressed had been a bit more of a chore than she'd expected. That didn't bode well at all. Faye didn't even realize she'd pulled her hand back into her lap and was worrying at her palm with her thumb. A nervous tick that, in other circumstances, she'd never allow to happen. But in the battle sickbay, undergoing post stasis evaluation, her guard was down. Very much down. It never dawned on her she was sending out all kinds of nonverbal signals.
"Slide on over," Faye invited Riley, sipping the tea again as if to fortify herself as she brought up the next exam, the hyperspace physics exam. This was much more technical, with a series of questions increasing in difficulty one by one. The kind of thing that drove her nuts back a the academy the first time around. And when she'd done that, she hadn't had someone right next to her, looking right over her shoulder. "What kind of question is that?" She muttered, pursing her lip out to one side, and quoted aloud,
"If the matter and antimatter tanks on a Galaxy-class starship are nine-tenths depleted, calculate the intermix ratio necessary to reach a starbase one hundred light years away at warp factor 8. Really?"
A long sigh escaped her lip as she entered an answer (the wrong one) and stuck her tongue out at it again. Irked, she re-read the question, realized it was a trick - the ration was always 1 to 1. Faye never noticed that her skin was a bit more flushed, with Riley closer, or that her heart rate had ticked up. The nurse was right in her musing - proximity added to the stress level of any test. And it would have been worse if it were someone that Faye didn't like. But the diplomat thought - rather distractedly - that it had to be hard to find someone more like-able than her nurse.
Probably just the repressed trauma talking, Faye she quietly chided herself, chuckling as she moved on to the next question, and the next. This test took her considerably longer than the previous one, and the betazoid had to wonder if that was because of Riley. It took an effort of will not to peek now, to try and find out what was going through the nurses head. And will or not, some of it slid through anyway...
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus As Faye extended the invitation to slide on over, Riley did just that as she got up and grabbed a chair to sit right next to Faye. She crossed her legs herself in the chair effectively sitting in a lotus position while she cradled the cup of tea in her lap. As she shifted now and again in her spot, she did bump her knee against Faye's hip from time to time while she peeked along with the tests. She had been horrible at these in academy and would probably flunk them if she had to do them again now.
Riley zoned out a bit as she stare blankly at the PADD, her hands holding the cup for some warmth as she felt a shudder run through her. Her mind thinking back about her grandparents before it jumped back to Faye as she had moaned earlier on about the tea. The question she asked about the matter and antimatter brought her out of her zoning out session and she answered with a "Errmmmm..." her face coloring a bit before she shrugged.
The unhelpful response of Riley and Faye's decision to punch a wrong response made her lips curl a little before she patted Faye on the shoulder. Her fingers slowly gliding over her arm "You know this though, just try and relax a little." she mentioned as the non verbals signs hadn't escaped her. The diplomat was under stress and it showed. Riley enjoyed the gained proximity to the ensign as she was close enough to catch on to her scent. It smelled pretty good and she wondered if the betazoid women would wear any additional perfume or anything of the sorts. Or would she use certain products for her skin?
Rileys mind was running rampant now as she was zoning out again unwillingly due to the tea and proximity to the attractive woman. Flashes in imagining Faye rubbing herself in with body milk lavished through her head. The picture quite accurate after seeing the ensign bare. For that matter, she wondered how they'd be during the holodeck ceremony. Faye hadn't seen Riley naked yet, maybe she'd not like what she'd see? Or she'd call it off all together if Riley was downright ugly for the Betazoid?
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
How was it even possible fora touch to be both soothing and electrifying at exactly th same time? Faye asked herself this when she felt Riley's fingers dance down the bare skin of her arm. It had settled her thoughts some, true, but it had also opened up the walls in her mind even more. Betazoids were not touch telepaths like their Vulcan counterparts - they didn't need physical contact to read anothers thoughts, or feel what they felt. Their abilities were considerably more advanced than that.
But at the same time, skin to skin contact did make things easier. Much, much easier. And with that light brush, the already tenious fortifications came right back down. Crashing would be the word that Faye would have used if she hadn't been swept away into the other woman's more deeper thoughts. Intimately deep.
She saw herself, bending down, fingers coated in some kind of cream, rubbing it into the top of her foot, up over her ankle, and then across her shin, making her leg gleam in the low light of wherever it was Riley had placed her in her minds eye. A refresher unit, perhaps? Or her bedroom? Regardless she was stark naked and there was warp light filling the room as she applied the lotion all over, giving her skin a slick look, inviting touch.
And there was an ache, deep inside, to reach out and touch.Faye blushed furiously, realizing that it was Riley's desire to know what it might feel like, to know what Faye did as far as skin care went. Point of fact, Faye did have a few prefumes that she wore and -
And now she was in the holodeck, both of them bare, and a feeling of utter insecurity flowing across her very being - across Riley, who was suddenly worrying about what kind of astehtics betazoids prefered. She wanted to reassure the poor nurse that she was very much beautiful, and that if she were being honest, she was looking forward to seeing Riley at the wedding, inappropriate as that thought might be. It would have made Faye giggle if she didn't feel the concern so accutely. A part of her mind was going over all the various oils and washes that she would wear before attending a wedding, to bring out a shine in her skin, make herself suptle soft and presentable, but the rest of her was fretting right along with Riley now, caught up in her insecurities - which triggered her own.
Why ahd she been spared? What made her worth surviving, while everyone else in the compartment had died? TharinAlk, cartwheeling away, out of the breech and into the cold, harsh embrace of the void. Flames, licking at her fingertips, a promise of what awaited. Voices, damning her from beyond - She slumped back into her chair, face flush, eyes wide for a moment as the padd clattered down onto the table and the contact with Riley broken. Her shoulders sagged, as did the rest of her, eyelids drooping. Sweat had broken out across her body, as had a wave of goosebumps, as if she were cold, or scared, and her breathing was short, fast.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus The state of mind Riley had been dreaming in faltered bit by bit due to her insecurities. She hadn't seen the deep dark blush Faye had on her cheeks because of her thoughts nor did she know it fueled the ensign's own insecurities. She sucked in some air as she felt her hands almost spill the precious tea in her lap. She snapped out of it and drank from her tea as Faye seemed to be zoning out on a question herself. Patterson thought little about it before the PADD clattered down.
It called for a quick response from the nurse to see what was going on. The tea quickly placed on the table yet not placed properly on the solid surface as her patient sagged down by the shoulders. Tell tale signs of a syncope which shouldn't have been happening in the first time if Riley had been more alert. The nurse scolded herself under her breath, yet felt the sudden sting of the warm beverage spilling on her legs and lap. Which in turn caused for a yelp by the brunette.
She jumped out of her seat and luckily for her, the beverage wasn't boiling hot. It did sting a little, yet wouldn't be too worse as she quickly got behind Faye and gently shook her by the shoulders "Faye!" she said with urgency before sliding her off the chair and down onto te floor with her. She positioned herself so Faye would be resting with her head on the floor first so she could raise her legs a little onto the chair. After that she got down on the floor as well and placed her head into her lap. The worry growing in her eyes as she stroked the flocks of hair out of Faye's face and patted her cheek slowly "Come on Faye, time to snap out of it." she whispered as she kept stroking her cheek with her left hand while she checked her pulse with her right hand against her neck.
Perhaps it was time to call it here and bring the ensign back to the bio bed? If only for further observation. Alternatively she could keep her more to rest in her quarters. Though the criteria that Nicander had set weren't met yet. She'd ask for Nicanders opinion later on or make the call herself and send a memo to the rather occupied doctor. Riley leaned in a bit more now as she looked into Faye's eyes as she did seem to get more color in her face again "Rise and shine.." she whispered soft and tenderly
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
At first, Faye didn't hear Riley yelp when the tea splashed across her, nor did the woman's concern register, calling out to her. She was completely unaware of the nurse moving her out of the chair, laying her out on the cool floor. Her bare feet were elevated but Faye paid it no mind. Only when her head was shifted into Riley's lap did things start to stir in Faye. A sense of worry began to seep into her from outside, flowing along the touch of fingers on her brow.
Rileys worry, profressional and personal, flooded Faye's mental senses.
Shivering all over at the touch, Faye's scattered concious latched onto the worry as if it were a life line in a malestrom of emotion. Snippets, visions of the attack at Jupiter Station had surfaced from her memory, that which had been blotted away when she'd first come too. A horrible, rushing wind filled her ears, the sound of atmosphere venting into space. A nightmare noise followed by an impossible silence that no one wanted to hear. The deafening nothingness of vacuum. It filled the compartment in her mind, just as it had filled the conference room, before the emergecny bulkhead came crashing down onto Faye's arm .
And it was that same, outsteched arm, soon to be torn away, that grasped onto the string of worry, concern, from outside herself. The moment her mental fingers clasped it, she was jerked back upwards, out of the depressing hail of memory and self doubt, tugged back into the concious portion of her mind.
"Rise and Shine," she heard a voice full of tender care calling down to her, and for a moment, Faye thought the voice was her mothers, as the elder Danvers had often said that to a very young betazoid girl, when the then child had not wanted to get up early to deal with feeding the various animals that her parents raised, out on the farm colony. She blinked her dark eyes, a spark coming back into them, focus filling her vision. The face above her was not her mothers, younger even than her mother had been when Faye was but a child. The hair was too dark as well, lighter than Faye's own locks, but not the golden spun thread that Mother had favored all her life.
No, it was the nurse - it was Riley, leaning over her, inches away. Faye sucked in a sharp breath, shivering once again, as full awareness returned. The feeling of being laid out, prone. The sensation of her feet being raised, and wiggling her toes again. Warmth under the back of her neck, the scratch of standard issue uniform cloth. And the touch, the sweet, lingering touch of fingers on the side of her neck. With all this came an organizing of her thoughts, an sorting and cataloging of her memories, and Riley's that she picked up.
"never doubt that you're beautiful," she murmured, before realizing not only what she had just said, but where she was, and what must have happened. She shut her eyes and let out a groan, mortified.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus Riley kept holding on to Faye before she saw the spark in her eye returning. There was always that moment when you could notice someone coming back from that brink. In Faye's case it was the spark in her eyes and the absence of her shivering in combination with the returning skin tone. Riley smiled faintly while she kept toying with her hair delicately, not wanting to have her startled yet wanting to have her feel safe and harbored.
When Eloi-Danvers spoke up, it were her words that had Riley baffled now. Had she picked up on her thoughts? The face of the nurse turning somewhat red as she at first didn't know what to say and traced the origin of those words back to the source. It was a warm thought to know that the diplomat agreed like most men on the ship that she was a sight for sore eyes. The hands of the young nurse still caressing her face and hair as she looked back down into her eyes "Thanks I suppose..." she whispered eventually with a shy smile on her lips.
The groan that followed had Riley smile as she looked at the toes wriggling before she stopped moving her hands "Want to try and get up? Make it back to the bio bed?" she suggested as the cold floor was hardly a place for her to remain on. The result of having her on the ground was also that this meant that Riley would suspend any form of other activities for the time being. The risk of having her faint again being too great.
During this time Riley felt the moistness of the spilled tea on her clothes. It had seeped in enough now, through the standard issue pants and into her underwear. The cold floor added for some chills as she realized she'd have to change garments as well. Her mind wondering if she could leave the diplomat alone for a while to return to her quarters for a new pair or if she should replicate some here and strip down in front of her to change. Her mind toying around wit the idea as Faye would see her naked sooner or later. She'd prefer changing in the room they were in as it would grant her the option to keep eyes and tabs on the diplomat should her situation deter.
"Ready when you are Faye." she smiled and waited for the ensign to comply.

Had she really, truly just said that? Yes, yes she had. The words had come out of her mouth and everything. Riley had clearly heard. The blush made it evident. The little smile, and the way Riley thanked her only served to add to her mortification. Yes, she'd been told she could peek all she wanted into the nurse's head. She'd still tried so hard not to but then it hadn't mattered anyways, and out of everything she picked up on, that's what she commented when she came to from
having passed out of all things!
So much for being ready for duty she thought bitterly, but even self deprecation couldn't hold out over the embarrassment.
"What I'd like is to not make a bigger fool out of myself," she confessed, squirming a bit, head still firmly in Rilely's lap. It was a comfortable lap all things considered, though the angle of everything was somewhat awkward, with her feet up on the chair.
No, she silently admitted,
what I want is to find a deep, dark hole, to climb down into it and pull a rock over top of me so no one can see me right now. Or Ever. That'd be nice. Just a little hole for Faye to wallow in her foolishness. She wasn't stupid enough to voice
that aloud, however.
"Right," she muttered after, feeling waves of...something coming off of Riley, trying hard this time not to focus on it. She realized the girls fingers were still on her forehead, gently stroking, and Faye found the touch as soothing as it was likely intended to be. A small part of her did not want to give up that touch after having had to deal with the memories - she was sure there were memories in that jumble, not just self doubt - that had come to the surface during her blackout. "I think....yes...standing up would be good," she agreed as she moved her feet slowly off of the seat. She didn't let them drop, which was good, because she wasn't entirely sure she could lower them in a controlled fashion, but that lat least she seemed capable pf doing.
From there she reached up and placed her hand - her false hand, she belatedly realized - onto Riley's arm, gripping for support so that she could, slowly, carefully push herself upright. Her face scrunched up, as if expecting to be hit with a wave of dizziness or disorientation, but other then a slight ache, she her head didn't swim at all. Her emotions and thoughts were running rampant, but there was no physical discomfort that accompanied the motion. Save perhaps the fact that the floor was now very hard under her ass. "It's back to the bio bed then?" She asked Riley, turning to look at the nurse, now just behind her as she'd left the comfort of the woman's lap to sit upright.
What a fool i must seem
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus She could see the shame and perhaps even some discomfort on the face of the diplomat as she closed her eyes and groaned. Unable to pick up on her thoughts though, the brunette nurse was left in the dark about her true thoughts or feelings. When she mentioned she'd like to not make a bigger fool of herself, Riley was caught off guard again as she weighed her own words now to not make the situation any more worse.
"A fool? It's perfectly normal for people to pass out after stasis revival. Especially with a time span like you've been in. I've seen others pass out way sooner." she tried to counter her wallowing mood. "If anything you should be a role model for other patients." she added to it. She looked up to the feet of the ensign being brought down in a non violent way which reassured her that she getting was over the fainting.
When she used Riley's arm for support to sit up straight the nurse shuffled a little closer behind her, her legs resting against her back as she looked at the back of Faye's head. Her fingers leaving her skin before she got up herself and looked down at the darkened fabric of her clothes. If anyone had walked in right now, they might imagine that the fine nurse had peed her pants or something. Unless she'd be really really really aroused an-. The thought stopped right then and there as Riley scolded herself in her mind for it.
"Biobed it is." Riley responded as she saw Faye turned around. If anyone was the fool here it'll be Riley with her spilled on pants. "I'll change my attire later on once I know you're safe and relaxed." she assured the diplomat before she reached her hands out, both of them to pull Faye up. "Let me know if you get dizzy again or feel nauseated." she informed her as she looked over to the bio bed. It wasn't that far and if she'd manage to walk this, it'd be a certain improvement.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Steadfastly refusing to probe into Riley's mind to find out if the other woman was just trying to comfort her, or if she were serious about how many patients reacted the way she had, and how fast it happened, Faye decided she wanted to believe the other woman at face value. As easy as it was for Faye to doubt herself and fall back into belittling everything she did just then, to wallow in survivors guilt, the truth was the diplomat did not
want to do that at all. So she latched onto the kind words with a very soft, "Thank you," resting against Riley's legs for a moment until the nurse pulled away.
The stain explained the faint scent of tea she'd inhaled earlier, while laying in the other woman's lap. She had thought perhaps it was hints of the drink on Riley's breath - instead she now knew it for what it was; spilled tea on the woman's pants in an unfortunate position.
I won't giggle, I won't giggle, nope, no giggling, she told herself over and over again, a little mantra. Her thoughts mirrored Riley's, mostly, but she was still unaware. Until she took Riley's hands in her own and allowed the nurse to haul her to her feet.
Forewarned as to what could now happen, Faye was able to keep the other woman's thoughts from overwhelming her upon contact. But her grip tightened up quite a bit as the rush of emotion and consciousness battered against her own hastily shorne up walls. They did not crumble, nor really crack, but impressions broke through - disdain at spilling the tea, amusement (bitter perhaps?) at what it might look like, and chastisement at allow her thoughts to shift to a less than processional state. All that flashed through Faye's mind in the few seconds it took for the Ensign to right herself, and come to a stop, mere inches from her nurse, starring up into Riley's blue eyes.
"I'm sorry," she blurted out, cheeks colored, sucking her bottom lip under her teeth for a moment, biting down a bit. "For making you spill the tea, I mean."
For being a git she silently added, as she took a step closer. She squeezed Riley's hands in hers. "And for how unfair it is that i keep getting peeks into your head, and you aren't getting any of mine." With that, she gently turned and began to stumble over to the bio bed, one slow step at a time, her fingers dragging across Riley's palms till they let go, easing some of the mental connection. She was going to have to reassure the nurse that....well she was scattered as hell, but the poor woman didn't need to be doubting herself. Faye didn't see her as a fool, far from it.
But can I trust anything I think or feel right now?
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
Feeling like she had done everything she could to reassure the ensign, it was time for her to get up on her feet. She waited patiently before she felt the classical light squeeze before she hauled herself up. Unaware of the fragments of thoughts she might pick up, Riley was a bit startled by how close Faye ended up from her face. Eyes meeting as her blue orbs looked into her dark brown eyes. It made her breath hitch for a second before she smiled warmly. The thought that flashed before her eyes to lean in and taste those lips quickly washed away by her self consciousness.
It wasn't very professional, yet Riley would lie if she didn't feel any sort of attraction to the other woman. It had made her feel funny, her stomach being lighter yet more sensitive as it felt like a rainbow exploded in her abdomen. Feelings on the job were part of it, yet were taught to be ignored and usually the feeling would dissipate over time. In some cases it would even have the nurse wondering what she ever saw in particular persons. Faye though felt different on every sort of level, yet Riley didn't know what she had in her mind, thus she let it slip.
When Faye apologized, Riley wondered what she had gotten through, her own cheeks flustering before she scarified it was for the tea "O-Oh, it... It's fine." she answered with a stammer before she felt the lovely skin of Faye slip as she stumbled back to the bed. The second part of her message had her wondering again as she watched her walk back. Once she made it to the bio bed, Riley helped her legs in before she looked at the parameters again. With a nod she smiled again at the Betazoid "Just try and rest a bit, I might have strained you just a bit." she answered "I'll just get new pants in the meantime. Just shout if you need anything." she concluded and with a soft pinch in her shoulder, the nurse turned around and walked back to the replicator before punching in the command. Once the uniform materialized she wondered where to change. It'd be unprofessional to do i front of Faye, yet where else could she go without having the risk of being infected with the virus?
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Although Riley could not see it, as Faye made her way over to the bio bed, the betazoid ran her tongue across her lips. it was foolish to do so, she silently reasoned, but just before the two had broke contact, Faye had got the impression of a desire to kiss out of Riley. Having ended the physical contact for the moment, Faye didn't get the follow up as she was trying hard to keep her thoughts to herself. So she had no idea of the turmoil Nurse Patterson was working her way through, nor just how confused that Faye was leaving the poor woman.
Pull yourself together and sort out what you want before you go playing around in someones head, Faye. it was funny how much she sounded like her mother when she took herself to task.
But what if what I want is to let her have that taste? the little voice, devilish as it was, asked herself, in the back of her mind.
Dashing it aside, Faye turned and saw Riley right there behind her as the telepath plopped her black short clad bum on the edge of the bed. Quietly, she started to push herself up, but then Riley took a hold of her ankles and helped swing her onto the bed propper. Blushing, but grateful again for the assistance, Faye thanked her, forcing a more easy going tone into her voice. There was no point in letting the nurse know she was feeling fairly self conscious about well, everything as well. After all, it wasn't just Riley that had butterflies in her stomach, and the human woman wasn't the only one slowly concluding that something was possibly developing here.
The problem for Faye was, she'd been in what amounted to a medical coma, frozen in time, for months, and was having to deal with (truthfully not dealing at all with) the loss of almost every person she cared about on the ship.
Am I just latching onto the first friend face I see? Would it even be fair? she silently pondered, worrying at her lip as she settled back on the pillows. She frowned turned, and fluffed them up a bit so she could sit up more, instead of laying flat on her back.
How do I deal with this? Do I ignore, or do I explore? This wasn't like any of the academy questions she'd been working on, it was personal. And that led her into thinking about regulations. Technically, Riley was Enlisted Personnel, a non-commissioned officer; Faye was a line officer, albeit as junior as you could get at Ensign. But she was part of the diplomatic wing of Starfleet, which stood slightly to one side; so too, did the medical department, having far more authority at any rank - but only in medical cases.
At the end of the day neither one reported directly to the other. So should Faye see where things went - and there was no point in denying the
potential she was picking up, never mind her own guilt - then regulations would not be a barrier. And that in turn seemed to make everything a little bit easier to deal with for Faye.
But as she leaned back and tilted her head, watching Riley fret and look about from in front of the replicator, she realized that the nurse had other concerns.
"Um, Riley?" She called out quietly, waiting for the petty officer to turn her gaze back Faye's way before continuing. "Betazoid, remember? I won't mind, as long as you're comfortable changing in front of me." And then, despite herself, a slow smile bloomed on her face, before she bit her lip and added. "If you like, i can close my eyes and promise not to peek? Even if it 'd be tempting."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
Despite both dealing with internal conflicts the two women remained at their respective distances and Riley was a bit frozen by the replicator as she was sunken in her thoughts. Only when Faye called her out, she blinked and turned her head over to the diplomat as she had taken a more seated position in the bed. She had to giggle a little as she mentioned that Betazoids didn't care for nudity and called her out that she could carry on unless she felt uncomfortable about it.
The teasing remark about closing her eyes without peeking only fueling a counter response from the nurse "Where's the fun in that?" she replied with a teasing tone and a wicked smirk on her face. It was a fact that Riley was sometimes unsure about herself, especially in the eyes of others. It didn't mean however that the nurse had complexes about her body. She had found herself to have a beautiful and fit body, which in return got the care and attention it needed. In fact, it had been rather odd that Riley had concerned herself with how Faye would think about her as she'd usually not care what others thought about her.
While she wrapped up that idea she had turned herself face Faye. "So, tell me a bit more about yourself Faye." she said as she unbuttoned her uniform vest. She took it off and revealed her standard issue bra holding her breasts in place. If Faye would look for it she'd notice the two little peaks poking through the fabric. Riley had pulled off the vest to get out of her pants more easily, yet also to tease Faye just a tad more. She could say that Betazoids didn't care about nudity, yet non verbal reactions spoke louder than words.
While she listened to the diplomat she opened up her stained pants and shimmied herself out of it. The skin of the nurse lighter and more pale yet still with a light tan to it. The skin itself seemed to be smooth and untainted by any scars or piercings. The standard issue panties coming into sight that showed tea residue as well. She worked herself slowly out of the pants and threw it behind her before she slipped her fingers into her panties. Her eyes training on Faye the entire time as she teasingly slow started to pull the light fabric down. Bit by bit she showed her more intimate area to the diplomat, a fine line of hair decorating the pubic area before the pink lips came into sight. The panties dropping down to her ankles as she stepped out of them and turned around to the replicator to fabricate a new pair of panties as well. While doing so her well formed bum was on display, the few steps she took, allowing for some wiggling in the flesh even though it showed that the nurse worked out to keep her body in tight shape.
She didn't go for the standard issue underwear this time and instead went for a fire red/orange hipster. Once the product was produced she slipped it on with her back towards Faye before slipping back into the pants and buttoning up. She closed the vest after that and returned back to Faye as she had a crooked grin on her face before she looked at the bio bed parameters again.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
It was the smile that nearly did Faye in right there. Wicked little grin it was, spreading over Riley's face, heating the Betazoid up from across the room.
Looks like I'm allowed to watch she concluded, pleased, and nestled back down into the bed, gently easing a leg up, ever so slightly, to plant her foot flat on the mattress and dangle her left arm over the top of her left knee. What Faye had not expected was to see that the nurse was gonig for a full uniform change, despite the fact that, as far as the diplomat could tell, only Patterson's pants had been drenched by the tea.
Not that I'm complaining, she chuckled quietly, her eyes a bit wide as she watched, brazenly. She did like what she was seeing, and she liked the way that bra did so very little to conceal certain facts from her. She had to wonder if the room was too cold for the human, or if there was some other reason behind the inviting bumps in the fabric.
Those dark orbs of her's crawled over the exposed skin on display, and Faye nearly missed how Riley had asked to know more about her. Blinking in surprise, she focused back on the other woman's face, seeing the smile there, and blushed.
She did say I could watch! she reminded herself as she coughed, covering her mouth with her left hand for a moment, unable to tell the difference in the feeling of the skin there on her lips. Swallowing, and settling, she let her eyes drift to follow along with Riley's hands as she spoke, clear and hopefully steady.
"What is there to tell? Girl gets born, gets adopted, grows up on a farm and deicdes to see the universe," she answered lightly, and then, as the pants started to come off, hastily continued, "So, the highlights are that I was born on Betazed, but I spent most of my life on one of the far flung colonies a few systems over, the Budon system - colony of the same name. My Adpoted mother, Sarah, was from Earth. She and dad, well, they couldn't exactly have kids. Mixed pairings don't always work for Betazoids. Especially when the mother of the pairing is non native. Funny thing that - its easy for a Betazoid woman to get with child from another species like humans, than it is for a betazoid male to impregnate another species. Something about the way our chromosomes pair up?" She shrugged a bit, the science being a bit beyond her.
Faye paused her story though, as she bluntly watched the stained fabric of Riley's regulation panties pulled away.
The tea stain really was poorly placed, the patient decided, but she found herself not minding as she focused and committed to memory the way the other girl looked as she stepped out of the wet bit of cloth and tossed it aside.
Looks tasty, she admitted if only to herself.
A bit less hair than i have there, but its a look that works for her. Realizing that she had stopped talking, she coughed again, and resumed, her head tilting to the side as Riley turned and wiggled her bum for Faye.
No way she's not teasing me now!"Daddy, he was a farmer, from a family of farmers that first settled Budon back before Betazoid joined the Federation. I'm thinking it was...2240 that the colony was established? We'd been out in the galaxy before that, but we had been a bit lazy about actually settling down elsewhere. We didn't really need to. But then one of the great houses got a the ....how did Mom say it...Wild Hare? To go off and colonize a world and well, here we are."
And there you are, wearing panties that match mine in color, you cheeky thing! Her cheeks were quite warm now by the time that Riley returned to the biobed, and her smile was wide. She could only imagine what her heart rate was like, and if Faye were being totally honest, her mind was not at all focused on her own well being, her past, or what had happened to her in what felt like the last 24 hours. No, her mind was on a pair of well defined pale legs, an plump rear that looked very squeezable, and a bit of private parts that she should not at all be wondering as to the taste of.
This is bad. Very, very bad. Bad Faye. Bad, bad Faye. Scolding was not helping, not at all.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
The brief and simple explanation from Faye had Riley furrow her brows while she stood half naked by the replicator. She could see the eyes of Faye moving over her and it did seem that the betazoid was right. She didn't seem to be ashamed or inconvenient to see Riley in the state of undress that she was. She did however notice the sense of surprise and somewhat clumsy continuation in her story. 'Perhaps I do leave her a bit baffled after all?' she thought to herself.
Riley did listen intently to the story Faye gave her and she was pleasantly surprised that she had a human mother. She hadn't known about it and it made her feel somewhat more curious about her biological parents. Yet she wouldn't go on and ask about that right off the bat since it was personal, private information that he ensign might not want to share with a nurse that she met only hours ago. By the time Riley returned to Faye's bed, she could see the increase in heart rate which had her smiling with the same touch of mischief that she had earlier on.
She tapped at the settings and sat down with half of her rear resting on the bio bed while her leg stretched down to keep balance with the floor. She was close, very close to Faye now as she placed her hands in her lap and fiddled with her fingers. "Quite a life's story... How did you end up with Starfleet? Just because you had to go an colonize a world?" she asked her softly as her blue eyes went over Faye, coming to rest on her eyes while her mind wondered what went on in that pretty head of hers.
The little show she had put on was most definitely a way to tease Faye, stronger than herself, Riley liked to flirt and toy around. Although with Faye it felt rather different, it was just flirting and teasing for the fun of it. No, she wanted the diplomat to see what she had in store for her. She wanted her to... Her mind stopped the train of thoughts again as she wondered to herself what else she could do with Faye now that she had been returned to resting in the bio bed. She figured that she could evaluate her first before making a decision. In case that she'd be too worn out, Riley would have no other choice but to cease any further activities and call it a day. She'd probably have to ask Nicander for further instructions or have Thea transport her to her quarters, but she was getting ahead of herself.
"Anyway, how are you feeling Faye?" she asked softly as she pushed a strand of hair out of her face and behind her ear. She hadn't exactly intended to do so, yet it just happened. A more or less natural reflex of the nurse to do so while she kept her eyes locked on the dark orbs.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
With Riley now seated on the edge of the biobed, Faye did not have very far to look to see the nurse. True, she was once again fully clothed, but that didn't stop Faye's over active imagination from picturing Riley in just those bright orange panties she'd slid into moments before. The diplomat was keenly aware at how they matched her own undergarments (that Riley had picked out for her) and could only assume it was no coincidence. Wondering just what game Riley was playing at, Faye smiled brightly all the same when asked about how she ended up in the fleet.
So as the pretty nurse fiddled about with the bed controls and took some readings, Faye tried to ignore her increased heart beat, tried to pretend it was all the stress of coming out of stasis and the well of emotions she had yet to process and instead focused on tell that tale that always got her a few curious looks when she trotted it out. Wasn't often, of course, but then, there was no reason to hide it from Riley.
"A part of it," she began, "is the classic boredom of a girl on a farm wanting to reach out and see the galaxy. I liked the farm, mind you. Loved working with plants, and the animals too, even if it meant getting up far too early." She made a little face and found her leg resting against Riley as she talked. Leaving it in place - the nurse didn't mind, she could tell - the telepath continued on. "Daddy had to go back to Betazed for a trade conference - he was representing the colony world as part of the negotiations. I forget the species off the top of my head, but he was part of a delegation that met with them. And I, eager to go back to the planet he was born on and explore, tagged along."
A little giggle bubbled up, "I was young, and it was
boring. Like, watching paint dry boring. At least to a little girl who had no part in it. Apparently," her cheeks colored slightly, "I was so bored, that I was projecting just how boring the whole thing was. Telepathically, mind you." She shook her head and leaned back, listening to the quiet hum of the biobed as she regaled Riley with the tale.
"All of the sudden the lead negotiator calls for a recess, siting, and I quote, "A need to break up the dull monotony of the day." And then pretty as you please, she stood up and sauntered right over to me. Now my Daddy, he was moritifed, and I picked up on that, so I was convinced I was in deep trouble, but before I knew it I was being led off to spend the rest of the afternoon at a nearby by park where the Ambassador (my father fretfully in tow) kept me well and truly entertained, explaining what was going on, why they had to be so boring, and how much I reminded her of her daughter (when she was my age), who had just started serving as a ships counselor."
Eyes sparking with mischief now, Faye concluded, "Yes, Ambassador Lwaxanna was quite proud of her daughter, and as well she should. Even little young me had heard of the
Enterprise by that point in my life." Her eyes closed and she shook her head a bit, "In short, that started me down the path that ends with me in a bed with you - er um, that is, with you sitting on the - yeah. um." She coughed, realizing how bad that sounded, then just sat back and laughed, flush of the face and embarrassed.
Slip there, eh? she chastized herself, only to completely freeze up when Riley reached down and swept aside some of her hair. Her lips parted ever so slightly, and the blush intensified. There was an impulse - hers, or Riley's, she couldn't be sure - to reach out and kiss the girls palm. She held back, exactly because she couldn't figure out whose desire it was.
"Right now? Right now I feel flustered," she confessed. Realizing that wasn't quite what Riley meant - and wondering why now, of all times, her telepathic powers had decided to go dormant - Faye elaborated, "Tired, but I don't feel like I'm going to pass out again. Or fall asleep anytime soon."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
Rileys work was mostly done here for now that Faye was restricted to bed rest. She might as well enjoy the story she was telling her about her origin and how she got in Starfleet. She could feel the contact of Faye's leg against hers and she indeed didn't mind. She took the opportunity to take some downtime here as she just listened to every detail of it, nodding a couple of times without spilling a word.
It was when she came at the part of Ambassador Lwaxanna that Riley's eyes widened a little and smiled more broadly "Wow, you actually met her?" she asked in disbelief as she had heard about her, yet obviously never met before. "What was she like?" she asked curiously before reminding that she probably still had a part to go. As she mentioned that this lead to her early steps in Starfleet and essentially with her in bed, the nurse had to snicker as she played along with it "Oh, so is that your plan diplomat? Get the nurse in the sack huh?" she asked her teasingly. The corrections that she tried to push through to cover up the slip only making Riley giggle.
It was when Faye admitted that she felt flustered that Riley looked over at her, her eyes looking deep into her dark brown orbs. "Flustered? I hope not in a bad way?" Riley whispered as she leaned in a little, coming horribly closer slowly. When she clarified what she meant with it Riley nodded understandingly as she kept toying with Faye's hair. She was rolling it into curls slowly before she realized what she was doing and let go of it. "Sorry bout your hair, got sort of lost." she answered as it hit her how close she had gotten and pulled back a little.
With a soft groan Riley looked up and shook her head "Sorry for my unprofessional behavior ensign." she said as it truly was something that went against every bit of her code of conduct. If they had met at one of the lounges or anywhere else but in sickbay as patient - caregiver, Riley wouldn't have minded and would probably have flirted further or more. Yet this was during her work, with a girl she only met. She didn't even know what Faye felt for her. The blushing and rather cute demeanor of her could all be projection of what Riley was feeling. She didn't step off the bed yet as she bit her lower lip and pondered how to proceed with this.

Faye realized she had a lot to sort through, to process as her tale wrapped up, and she found herself starring up at Riley, easily getting lost in those blue eyes. There were a lot of questions to be answered, for both women, she thought, getting trace imression;s from the nurse. Something was going on here between the two of them. Or perhaps it would be better to say that something could be developing, the Ensign was sure of it. She was equally sure that the timing was horrible. Just brought out of stasis? Unresolved trauma at the loss of her whole department? Still on the run from space slugs?
But a saying from her mother surfaced in her mind, something about horses, mouths, and gifts. Riley's fingers in her hair felt nice - so she let herself enjoy it until the nurse pulled away, apologetically.
One did not need to be a telepath to see that the nurse was suddenly feeling quite conflicted.
A lapse in professionalism, Faye told herself, nodding in understanding. She could see how that might trouble the woman. It stung a bit that they were back to ranks all of the sudden, after the intense flirting. But Faye was just as conflicted as Riley - the only difference being that Faye could probe the other woman's mind to get a better picture.
I can...but i shouldn't. That's not fair to her, permission or not."It wasn't my grand plan, Petty Officer," Faye stated, before elaborating, very softly, "but I'm not upset it ended up that way, Riley." She offered up a tentative smile. "Truth be told you're the only bright spot I've had since we returned to earth, days - no, I suppose its techincally months ago. Even before the attack everything was bleak. And now....knowing at least something of what happened?" She met the girls gaze, or tired to anyway. Riley had told her a lot, simply by Faye's running through her memories, unintentional though it had been.
"I dont...I don't mind what you did with my hair. Far from it. It was nice. Soothing. And I think I can safely say that the only reason I'm not in shambles right now is.... unprofessional interest in the pretty nurse assigned to me." The kind of woman she might have hit on shamelessly in a bar planet side. The kind that could easily be a friend, if not more, given the chance.

When Eloi-Danvers spoke to her and addressed her at her own rank, it felt like they were back at square one. Her words however were giving her a better picture of what went on in Faye's head. It was a good thing she supposed that this wasn't her grand plan either and at least she didn't feel upset about it. Yet when she told her that she was the one bright spot, it made her heart sting for a second before she bit her lower lip. She remained silent however as she remained seated in the bed besides her.
When Faye continued with the compliments it made Riley blush even more before she smiled faintly and asked "Really?" her eyes looking back into hers before she leaned back against the bed, sliding over a bit more as more points connected between the two of them. The two of them almost laying against each other while Riley weighed her words.
"Still, it feels rather unprofessional from my side." Riley said before continuing "However I have to admit Faye..." she turned her head to her as she stroked her cheek gently "I have to admit that I feel a certain pull to you..." she admitted, exposing herself and placing herself in a vulnerable place "I usually don't develop these kind of feelings for patients. In fact, I never have before... It's hat makes it hard... If we were to meet under different circumstances, I'd be more inclined to flirt openly with you." she paused again and sighed.
"What I'm trying to say here..." she whispered as she found herself not getting to the point "I think I'm feeling certain things for you Faye. More than just patient x nurse.... Maybe even more than just friends and I know that sounds stupid since we just met." she sighed before she kept her hand still against her cheek. Their eyes locked as she came closer inch by inch slowly. She was lost in the moment... A sitting duck so to speak for what was bound to happen.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
This time, it was Faye's turn to lay quietly while Riley processed. She took a bit of encouragement from the way the nurse slowly slid further into the biobed, and welcomed the contact she felt, the cloth of Riley's uniform brushing against the more bare parts of Faye. After all, the latter had lain down, but had not at all bothered to pull the covers up. She'd been feeling flushed and warm from the exertions - and now she felt the same, but from proximity and attraction.
Unprofessional interest, Ensign Elio-Danvers she scolded herself silently. Not that it changed a thing.
More than willing to let Riley work through her thoughts and feelings aloud, Faye quietly listened with rapt attention. It took a moment to notice at first, but she realized she was nibbling at her lower lip, and she was worrying at the palm of one hand with the thumb of the other. Again. Her instructors at the Academy would be furious with her, revealing so many nervous ticks.
If they really wanted to test you under pressure they should have thrown pretty nurses at you during a negotiation simulation. See how poorly you would have done then! Her own train of thought derailed entirely when Nurse Patterson reached out and cupped her cheek. She sort of froze up, as a wave of desire hit her - her own, and Riley's. A lot of the emotions she suddenly felt seeping through from the other woman matched Patterson's words, giving them an extra weight of certainty. Certainty that only Faye could enjoy, as it was a one way street. Again, she lamented that, for Riley's sake. Because Faye was pretty much in the same boat, as her mother would say.
Her eyes darted down, away from Riley's, to linger on the girls lips.
Inviting much? she thought to herself. Where things went from here were completely up to her. And since she believed that in matters less professional in nature, honesty was the best policy....
"I'll be frank," she began, quiet now since Riley was
right there, "if we had met in a bar this would be so much easier, and much less confusing. Or if it had been, yano, not with me being fresh out of stasis." As she spoke, she reached up and curled her hand over top of Riley's - not to move it from her cheek, but to keep it pressed to her skin. "Say...if we'd met a wedding, for instance?" She smiled wider and gently nuzzled the hand against her cheek, before leaning up. "Because what I'm going to do is very unprofessional, and should be followed up some time in a more...off duty situation. You're not the only one feeling like this could be....something more."
And then, as she'd hinted, she allowed herself to be very, very unprofessional, even if only for a moment, to know, for sure - she gave Riley a soft kiss.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
Once at the end of her words, she waited for Faye's response. It didn't seem to take that long as the diplomat showed every single sign of stress on the outside. Granted though, her lip biting was sort of enticing and distracting. It was a reassuring sight and feeling when she felt the hand of the brunette against her own. Not pushing it away yet keeping it in position as she spoke up as well, in a soft tone.
It made her heart flutter as she told her that it would be much easier in different circumstances. As she mentioned the wedding, it made the lips curl up from the nurse as she rolled her eyes a little at the teasing remark. If they were to be at the wedding now, in perfect health and with no strings to hold them back... Well God knows what they'd do...
The verbal warning would have to suffice to brace herself for what was to come, yet in any case it didn't as Faye leaned in and their lips connected. While so, the nurse smiled into the kiss as she answered it with pleasure and wholeheartedly. The brief connection lasting for only so long before it was broken off and Riley remained in place as her mouth went a bit dry. She looked back at Faye and made sure she'd see her tongue slip out slowly to lick her lips and thus so effectively tasting Faye. "Well... That... I'm glad to follow up on that Faye... Of course on a more off duty setting..." she whispered before she leaned back in, her free hand trailing over her side before resting against her hip as Riley turned in more profoundly for a new kiss. Her lips connecting with the Betazoid's as she kissed with more emotion this time.
This kiss ended in due time as well as the cheeks of the Petty Officer were flushed and she licked her lips once more. A smile covering her face as she straightened herself and more than one unprofessional thought danced through her mind. She stroked Faye's cheek once more before she sucked in some air and closing her eyes "I think you're cleared to return to your quarters. You'll need rest in any way. Since Doctor Nicander has assigned me to you I'll accompany you in your quarters and tend to you there. Of course when you'd be sleeping or so I'll grant you the privacy that you need... If you wish..." she added the last bit with a wink as she snickered a little. "I'll inform Nicander of your status and I believe that in the coming days we can still work out some more to regain your full muscle mass. It's not a top priority at this time. Consider this a seventy percent availability to function." she concluded. before leaving the bed and walking back to the table to alert Nicander by PADD about the developments. Again, when she walked to the table, the hips of the pretty nurse swayed perhaps even a bit more for the ensign's eyes.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
When the nurses pink tongue darted out to very pointed lick her lips, well, Faye did not fail to miss it. Far from it, her darker orbs seemed to hang on the motion, watching those lips moisten. She sucked her own lower lip in between her teeth again, biting it lightly, before letting go. Faye could still feel the other girls lips on hers, feather light, soft, and delightful. There was something about kissing a woman that set it apart from kissing a man. Both wonderful in their own ways. Both were to be enjoyed to the fullest - something she was getting the opportunity to do so right then and there as Riley's lips came back down on hers.
It was a slower kiss, and a longer kiss, and that hand on her hip held Faye well and truly in place. Her own hand reached out and latched onto the other woman's arm, squeezing tight, but not pushing away. Far from it, Faye let Riley explore her lips to her hearts content. And she in turn let her guard down a bit more, let the walls - fragile things that they were - open up to Riley, feeling the sheer joy that the other woman had, the relief, of the kiss. It left Faye flushed, with swollen lips, making a soft little noise of pure need when the lighter haired non-com pulled away from her. And again, Faye's eyes lingered as Riley licked at her lips, the Betazoid mimicking the human without even realizing it, her own tongue darting out, making a small circle.
Riley straightened up and Faye pulled her hand back, a small smile now on her lips, as she settled back into the bed to listen dutifully to the medical officer. For the moment, the voice in the back of her head that ws telling her this was a bad, bad idea, had been silenced by that second kiss. It was not at all an ideal way to start things, and she would worry if it was wise, if it was something she was rushing into simply as a result of all the devastation she'd suffered through, or if it were ....exactly what it seemed to be. A chance encounter with a captivating young woman that had the potential to develop in to something more. As was typical for a Betazoid, Faye faced the situation openly, and honestly, not at all shying away from either possibility being true.
She had almost zoned out, however, as she settled in on a course of
see where it leads and found herself blinking rapidly as her brain caught up with what her ears heard.
I can go back to my quarters - my new quarters, I guess and - wait, she's going to be there to? All the sudden a whole new set of worries bloomed. Not at all that she minded the idea of Riley being around for a while more, or that she appreciated that this was progress. Quite good progress even, judging by everything that Nurse Patterson had explained. Provided she continued to improve as Riley expected, she would be back on duty in no time. And Faye was very, very eager to be useful again - however that might be.
No, her concern was the simple fact that her quarters - her old ones, at the very least - were tiny. Unlike an NCO's quarters - something that petty officer like Riley would have - Faye did not share quarters with someone else. At the same time, in an NCO billet on the
Theurgy there would be two separate bedrooms, and a shared common room between them, affording the roommates some privacy, and a space for a shared couch large enough for someone to sleep on.
Faye's quarters - her previous ones ,at least, before they were blown away - were single occupancy affairs. And there was no real partitioning of the bed area from the sitting area, or the workstation. All were open to each other (save the washroom, which was sectioned off behind a pair of doors. Her previous room didn't even have a couch - she'd opted for a a set of small, plush chairs around a very low table, nestled in a corner by the bulkhead and the port window that curved along the hull.
In short, she had no idea where Riley would sleep - aside from one obvious possibility.
Hips swayed in front of her vision and now Faye was sure that the nurse was doing so on purpose. Letting out a little giggle, the diplomat shook her head and settled back into the bed a bit, running a finger over her lips where Riley had kissed her.
Why worry about this? she thought softly. "So you'll be my roommate for a bit then, Miss Patterson." She'd picked up that Riley was currently single, from all the spillover of memories so far that day. "Packed enough clothes for a few days, or are replicator rations not quite a concern for the ship just yet?" A pause, and then, "And do you know exactly where my new quarters are? How are we going to get there?" Then of larger concern, "How are we going to make sure neither of us catch...whatever it is that was attacking the crew? The virus that Dr. Nicander warned me about?"
OOC: assuming Faye's current quarters would look something along these lines:
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus The second kiss they had shared was more than delightful, Riley had teasingly darted her tongue over her lips to savor the taste. Her eyes sparkling with delight, need and mischief. The soft little noise Faye had made when Riley had pulled back only made her gut clench to give her another kiss. Yet the walls of self control managed to hold for now with the pretty NCO nurse. She had noticed Faye's mimicking behavior when she had licked her own lips. Any worry about having done the right or wrong thing were pushed out of the head of the young nurse as she just felt even more bubbly than before.
As Riley did her expose about what the further planning was she had walked over to the table and picked up the PADD. She inserted the new logs and gave Nicander the message that in her professional opinion Riley was ready for room confinement until the viral threat was under control. She did add however that the ensign might need a day or two more before returning to active duty. Once she was ready she tapped the button to save the reports and placed the PADD down. As expected, the ensign had questions of her own and Riley turned around, resting her bum against the table as she crossed her arms and smiled amused to the diplomat.
She did raise valid points though and Riley considered them as she answered the first question with ease "I'll jump back to my own quarters to get some clothes. Nobody should be in my part of the quarters so I won't risk any hazard of infection." she thought about it and ran the possible scenarios through her head. Her roommate should be out on duty if she'd sneak in and out of their quarters so there wouldn't be a problem there. As for what to take along, that might've been a bigger issue. She planned on taking some uniforms along in case she'd be needed to move away from Eloi-Danvers. Otherwise, would she use the quarantine to bring some casual clothing along too?
The next barrage of questions were not as simple to answer though. Yet she'd tackle them one at a time "Your quarters will probably be known to Thea." she answered as she pushed herself off the table and returned to Faye at the bed. "Quarantine isn't in effect here so it's safe to assume that the viral threat won't spread here yet. Considering I'd rather not have you walk over to your quarters... I'd probably opt fora hover wheelchair to bring you to your quarters." She paused for herself now "As for your quarters, they might have been cleared since you were in stasis... But your personal belongings and such should be in the cargo bays I imagine and could be transported back to your new quarters. I think it'll be a rather blank room... So be prepared for that." the nurse warned her. She could only imagine the horror if she were not alerted about this beforehand. In Riley's case it would mean that several pictures, decorations and a ton load of stuff would be missing. She'd probably have a meltdown on the spot.
The last question was a trickier one as Riley gave it some thought herself. "Well the only option to prevent either of us catching it is to isolate ourselves from the ship. Which means no contact with anyone else in person, intercom or video conferences are obviously fine. So technically I'll be bound to remain with you until you're either good enough to look after yourself or if I get called away for an urgent matter, in which case the chances of me returning to you will be slim to non existent." Riley stated. The last bit cringing herself as she tried not to think about it. It did depend on what Riley would called away for. If it were for the viral threat if not for trauma cases should they come under attack again. Either way, both scenarios would probably have her work overtime in the Sickbays.
"Any other questions?" she asked Faye with a warm smile as she leaned against the bed with her hip.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Instead of barreling right on in with a new barrage of questioning, Faye allowed herself a moment to lean back further on the bed and think. Her leg rose up again, the right one this time, and she hugged her leg with both arms, right hand holding left wrist. She still couldn't tell the difference that she knew had to be there, between the two limbs. Her chin came to rest on her knee, and her eyes darted up at Riley, where she leaned against the bed. She'd felt, more than saw, that little cringe the nurse had there at the end. She drew a small circle on her shin, as she pondered it, understanding that it was because Riley was in no rush to leav her alone. That teased a tiny smile on her lips.
Still, it was a lot to handle, an lot to process and take in. "Thank you," she said quietly, meeting the other woman's gaze as she reached out and gripped onto the girls hand, squeezing it, before letting her hand drift back to rest against her leg. "I have no idea what happened to my gear, to be honest. My original billet was right near the conference rooms that my department had gathered in to prep for damage control and relief assistance when we pulled in on Jupiter Station. One deck above the room, actually." She pursed her lips slightly, and a hand moved up to sweep a lock of hair back behind her ear.
"Theres every chance that a barren room is all I have to my name at the moment," she confessed, voicing a concern that had been lurking in the pit of her stomach, unrealized until then. The nagging worry had formed when she was told of the attack, of everyone dying save her, but it was rather low on the list of horrible, horrible truths she had to deal with. Still, having Riley bring it up, allowed her to brace for that fact. "We'll have to find out for sure later. When the ship isnt, yano, crawling with an infection and undergoing massive repairs." More knowledge she'd gained from the Nurse's mind, as Nicander had not really told her much of the current state of ship affairs beyond a medical sense.
Addressing the final fact that Riley had imparted, Faye smiled up at her again, doing her best to shake off the sudden funk. "If it makes you feel any better, I'm fairly certain I don't snore. So if we're going to be in close quarters for a bit I shouldn't keep you awake at night." She rested her chin back on her knee and wiggled her toes.
So I'll have a roommate for a few days, unless something goes horribly, horribly wrong. "I think, my only queston left is....when do we head out?" She looked around for a hover chair, thinking about how dreadful that might be, being carted around a ship. Then again, not all that many people knew here, so really, would it matter? So what if she wasn't able to walk all the way to wherever her quarters were. In the wake of...whatever it was that had happened - she was still fuzzy on the details, despite having got a decent over view from Riley's memories - there were probably plenty of people in worse states than her.
Best just to get it over with, get to the quarters she'd been given (where ever they were) and ....and get used to having a pretty Nurse around for a few days. The smile grew on her lips, as she concluded,
Worse fates to be had. "Maybe we can replicate some decorations."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
Riley observed her diplomat as she took on a different pose in the bed. Her eyes rolling over her before she spoke up once more. She nodded at her thanks before she told her where her former accommodations were. Faye honestly didn't know in what state those quarters were after the numerous attacks. No only the ones after Jupiter station. "Well, whatever was left of it, I'm sure they'll have it stored somewhere." she answered as she intently followed her hair being pushed behind her ear.
As she mentioned a barren room, Riley could feel the concern and worry that welled within her. She couldn't and wouldn't allow Faye to be in that state as she shrugged before she moved the hand that was squeezed in earlier towards her leg. A soft squeeze followed by a gentle stroke along the bare skin of the diplomat's leg. "Even if it is a barren room, that leaves plenty of room to redecorate though?" she tried to see it on the bright side. "Either way, we'll see sooner or later." she concluded.
Riley had to giggle as Faye mentioned that she didn't snore, it did make her wonder where she intended to nurse to sleep. Riley would be fine with a chair or couch, either that could be present in an junior officers quarter. "Uhm, I think I don't snore either." Riley responded to it playfully before she slid her hand back. "As for when, we can leave whenever you feel ready. I'll go get us a hover chair when able."
As Faye mentioned decorations "Riley's smile grew larger "Yeah, we totally could. I'll get us your transport first though!" she said before she gave her a wink and walked out of sight to get one. It didn't take long for her to return with a suitable chair and she brought it up to the bio bed. Once ready, she helped Faye into the chair with enough attention to keep her warm enough during the transport. "Ready?" she asked before getting the all clear to venture out of the medical environment and onto the adventure to her new quarters. She did ask Thea for directions and in a matter of minutes (fifteen minutes tops) they reached the door of Faye's new quarters. The doors sliding open and seemingly so giving her a fresh template to start with.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
There was little doubt that were it not for the bubbly nurse, Faye would be in a major funk right now, instead of tentatively excited. She wasn't exactly happy, per-say - she couldn't be trusted to walk to her own quarters, she'd lost her arm, and most of her shipboard friends, and oh, the whole crew was on the run from
everyone - but at the same time if she was going to be stuck in her cabin, she wasn't going to be alone in an empty room with nothing at all but herself and time. Riley would be there, and Riley....was enticing. And interested, as they'd confirmed. So it wasn't as doom and gloom as Faye feared all of this might be in the moments shortly after she'd woken up in the main sickbay on Vector - 02.
Her fingers dipped down to trace where Riley's hand had been while the nurse secured the chair, and then helped Faye up, out of the bed, and into the damn thing. It gave a little whirl as the repulsor lifts adjusted to Faye's weight.
Not that I way all that much she sternly thought to herself, leaning back into the chair, grateful for the blanket that was draped across her legs. She would feel less self concious with it there, than if she'd been carted around in the gym shorts. If she were on her own two feet she wouldn't have cared a lick what anyone thought, or who stared. Odds are she would have welcomed it, if anyone had bothered to take notice at all. Plenty of folks walking to and from the gyms, and most of the vectors had one.
But she wasn't walking anywhere.l Per Thea, her newly assigned quarters were on the same deck as the battle sickbay - 07. The only problem was, deck -7 was massive. not as long as say, Deck 16, but it was still a hefty walk to that section, using a few cross corridors to get from the port side of the deck over to the starboard where the quarters were located. And so Faye quietly sat, listening to Riley ramble on about the day to day in the sickbay while they made their way along. There were less people in the corridors than she would have thought, given the size of the sip and crew count, but then again, they were facing a viral outbreak, so perhaps many were staying in their quarters, or were at their assigned duty stations for multiple shifts. If the outbreak was bad enough to sned a large number of the crew to the sickbay (and judging by how haggard Dr. Nicander looked earlier, that was likely) then the
Theurgy may very well have been understaffed.
Regardless, it mean the thoughts and feelings assaulting her were considerably less than she had expected. And by the time they got to her quarters, she'd felt that she'd gotten a handle on the pressure around her mind. Faye stared up at the door for a moment, before a soft voice murmured
"Excuse me, just a moment Ensign Eloi-Danvers," causing the Betazoid to blink. Realizing it was the ships AI, Faye found herself smilnig softly as a few chirps could be heard, and then the door hissed open with that telltale pneumatic whoosh that was a staple of life on a starship.
Riley steered Faye into the small room, and the lights rose with each step the nurse took, until the room was brightly lit and fully on display.
not quite exactly like the old one, she thought to herself, never minding the fact that it was barren of anything that screamed "Faye." The layout was flipped, as her last quarters, further below, were on the port side of the ship. Still the standard JO sized bed tucked into one corner and a workstation in the other. A replicator opposite the work station, and the refresher doors near the bed. And then there was the sitting area....in Faye's last quarters, there were three chairs, by her design. This one had a corner couch.
That looks particularly nice for cuddling, she thought to herself, before concluding,
but its shit for sleeping. Oh dear. Baring stretching oneself out from one corner to the other with ones butt hanging in the air, the only other option would be to find something to rest ones feet on.
Or sleep somewhere else entirely Faye amended as the doors slid shut behind them. Chuckling softly, aware that Riley had no insight to what she was thinking at all, Faye spoke up. "Be it ever so humble," she quietly spoke, before asking, "So, should I try to take the 5 steps to the Couch, or the 7 to the bed?" Before giving her a teasing smile. It was bare and empty but that just meant they might have some fun setting the place up.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
Once the doors opened Riley looked around as her last thought had been a contemplation whether or not it had been a better idea to have Faye wear something longer for in the chair. Perhaps leggings or such would be better as it felt rather weird to drive a person in gym attire in a wheelchair. The idea dissipated from the mind though when the doors opened and they entered the room. The pneumatic swoosh indicating the doors closing behind them again.
Riley looked around in the quarters which looked like a great step up from her shared quarters. The lights granting a full overview of the room as he eyes went from the bed to the couch and work station before moving over to the washroom area. She whistled and smirked "Well, this is roomy..." she said as her eyes came back on the dark hair of the ensign she was transporting "As for your five or seven steps, I'm sure you can decide where to go. Either is fine by me." she answered "If you do go to the bed I might head back to my quarters to get some stuff and return in a few. Otherwise I can sit with you in the couch and we can.... Just...." she paused as she thought what they could do. She wasn't going to bother the diplomat with more exercises for today and the idea of cuddling up and just relaxing sounded enticing.
"I could cook you dinner later on if you'd like?" she suggested out of the blue before she wondered to herself what the ensign might like or not. They shared the same taste in tea, so perhaps they had the same taste for food as well? She smiled as she let go of the hover chair and set it on stationary, allowing Riley to step out when she wanted without the chair darting off in a certain direction. "Could produce you some new clothes if you fancy something easier? Or see if you have anything left from the old quarters?" she carried on.
Finally a new idea popped to mind "Or we could start with your decorating ideas?"
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
That smile on Faye's face, small at first with the desire not to fall into bad habits of self doubt and depression, blossomed full on the longer Riley spoke. Not for the first time, the Betazoid thought to herself the phrase,
A breath of Fresh Air in regards to the Petty Officer. It seemed fittingly appropriate, given how she seemed to be practically brimming with ideas just then. Curious as to just what they might do on a couch, and determined not to go peeking around in her head for the time being, Faye simply raised an eyebrow and let Riley work her way through all the ideas. And there were a lot of good ideas, truth be told. Plenty to do to keep the Ensign from, say, wallowing in self pity.
Carefully gripping down on the armrests of the hover chair, Faye slowly eased herself up onto her feet, taking in the view of her new quarters from the slightly taller vantage point she'd given herself. Small, but room enough for one person. Comfortable, but not overly so. Efficiently laid out while offering a sense of privacy. Starfleet at its finest. Concluding that it would suffice (not that she had a choice in the matter), Faye decided that the couch was the best option. Since she had chairs in her old quarters, it was one of the marked differences that she could allow herself to appreciate. Especially since she had someone that might enjoy it along with her.
"Well, lets see here," she spoke quietly, pulling her mental defense in a bit - she was picking up faint impressions from someone passing in the hallway and wanted to try and block it out. Something about a new Bollian dish they wanted to try, and being bone tired. Neither of which appealed to Faye just then. She walked - slowly, but steady - over to the couch and turned around, gingerly sinking onto the piece of furniture. It had a bit of give, not too much, and plenty of support. Again, efficiently comfortable for relaxing and lounging about for a while.
Not bad at all."Dinner sounds lovely, Riley, but you don't have to go to the trouble for me," she told the nurse, certainly not dismissing the idea, but giving the other woman an 'out' as it were, if she had made the suggestion simply to be polite. After everything that had gone down, Faye was not about to turn down a home cooked meal. Like the nurses presence, that would bolster her immensely, she knew. At the same time, she was ever the diplomat, and had no desire to impose upon the woman ordered to look after her. Bitting her lip for a moment, she continued on.
"I did just eat that other meal, so maybe in a little bit? Until then...." she looked shy, for a moment, then patted the seat on the couch by her, inviting Riley to sit along side of her. "Unless you'd rather run back to your quarters for a bit, I'm all for sitting and....planning out this place."
And whatever else might happen.

The eyes of the nurse followed the diplomat as she made her way over to the couch, carefully and with caution before she reached it with success and sank into the fabric of the couch. The idea for dinner seemed to be postponed and Riley nodded with a smile "Oh, yes of course, I wasn't planning on cooking just yet. Maybe tonight or so?" she suggested as she herself could still use a snack of herself, though the bulk of her hunger had already been faded by different emotions.
The suggestion to join her and plan out the place sounded like music in Riley's ears as she was offered a seat besides the diplomat. "Sounds like a plan to me." she answered as she walked over to the couch and dropped in next to Faye before her face changed at how comfy these couches were. "My God, this place is tons better than what I have to sleep or sit in." she exclaimed with a laugh before she looked at Faye and smirked. "Any plans already to decorate?" she asked her as she looked around and took the room in with more detail.
If it were up to Riley, the walls would all have different kind of shades to it. A clear indication to lighten up once quarters to feel completely disconnected from the boring standard color pattern outside ones quarters. Yet it wasn't Riley's quarters or taste they were adapting. She did however wonder what kind of taste the attractive diplomat had. She looked up to Faye for a second before she rested the temple of her head against her shoulder. "You could repaint or hang down decorations you'd particularly enjoy." she suggested softly "Maybe some plants to make the place less... sardine can-like?" she looked around "Or would you take new furniture that's more to your taste?"

While she didnt let it show - or so she hoped - Faye had been almost anxious as she watched Riley, waiting for the girl to sit down next to her. Tension bled off of her frame the moment Riley settled in, swiftly replaced by a giggle at how the nurse seemed to enjoy the comfort of the little couch. Faye remembered the accommodations back at the academy, and again, on the
Cortes. She'd had shared room situations in both settings (
Oberth-class starships not being known for having much in the way of living space) and she certainly felt that the
Theurgy was a general step up across the board as far as living quarters were concerned. She hadn't thought however, that officers might have more comfortable furniture in general.
It left her wondering just what those higher up the chain got - right until Riley laid her head down on Faye's shoulder. Then she stopped thinking about pretty much anything at all for a moment.
When is the last time I've felt like this? she quietly asked herself as she adjusted a little bit, letting her head come to rest - slowly, giving Riley plenty of time to move away if she so chose - atop the brunettes head in turn, smiling softly.
That one boy, back in the Academy, perhaps. Or Keleyth, during that month onf Betazed? She pushed the others from her mind, and settled in on the then and there, enjoying the closeness, selfishly, using that to keep darker thoughts at bay.
"My old quarters were just a collection of trinkets picked up over the past few years. A few family holos, which I can always replicate from the files stored on the central computer." Centralized data backup being standard on starships, that was one of the few things Faye was not worried about, "Some of the artifacts might not have survived. I'll have to find out." A particular worn metal Warnog mug came to mind, from her time at Khitomer. "But this place needs....something. Its barren. Empty. Bland." She giggled a bit and rolled her shoulders, stretching out and closing her eyes to breath in the smell of Riley's hair. "Its boring and....and it needs more rugs."
Giggling again she looked out across the room and nodded to herself. "Rugs everywhere. I want to be able to parade around this place barefoot and enjoy it. Some kind of blankets to throw over the back of this thing - I don't think I'll change it out. It has...benefits my old quarters didn't" Punctuating her words, she squeezed the nurse arm gently, to drive home what she meant by 'benefits'. "....something to hang on the wall." She hummed now, getting into the swing of things, turning her head, resting her chin atop Riley now as she leaned up to look over at the bed. "I want...something nice and thick that my feet can sink into right there under the bed. Just roll off of it and wiggle my toes." Faye paused, blushed a bit and pulled inward slightly. "I'm ridiculous, I know. Cant even imagine what kind of replicator rations the ship is on, and I'm talking about getting a bunch of rugs to plaster the room in."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
The diplomat's mention of artifacts made Riley dream off, wondering what different cultures and people she must've met already. It made her wonder as she bit her lower lip before she felt the head of Faye rest on hers. She didn't mind at all and closed her eyes. The suggestion of rugs made her giggle "Rugs?" she repeated after Faye and heard her out. Her eyes remained closed however while she toyed with her fingers against her uniform.
Riley caught on to the punctuated word as she smiled a bit broader, holding on to that thought as she let the diplomat continue. Once she was done with talking Riley looked back up at her. She shifted and laid down, resting her feet on the edge of the couch while she installed her head in Faye's lap. Her hair fanning open a little in place as she looked into her eyes. "I do like the idea of rugs, means I can walk around barefoot which is always more satisfying. Though they need to be soft!" she added her thoughts to it.
Than she got back to the benefit idea "As for benefits..." she paused as she bit her lower lip "What exactly did you have in mind?" she asked, perfectly able to hide behind the innocence of her question. Her body moved a bit from the left to the right, snaking a little in the couch before she stretched herself, arching her back and yawning a little before she settled down once more. Her eyes back on the diplomat as she murmured "I should change out of the uniform, no longer on active duty I presume..."
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Solid irises stared down at Riley, watching her every move as the nurse swung her legs up and around. It was a small, L shaped piece, and Faye had lodged herself right in the corner of the two wings of it, one arm tossed over the back of the couch. And now - now she had a stretched out nurse with her head in her own lap, nestled in against the gym shorts she'd put on before, uniform rubbing up against her bare legs, hair sticking her skin. Warmth seemed to pool along the path of Riley's shoulders and head from where she lay, seeping into Faye. It was fantastic,
Hmmm so she can walk around barefoot eh? Now what does she mean by - oh, duh! The Betazoids thoughts caught up with Riley's words and then the situation they were in.
She has to stay around, remember? Because someone cannot take care of herself yet. Concluding that she need not read into things as fast as she was doing. Then again, she was distracted by the pretty nurse. "Yes, absolutely need soft ones. Thick ones, and thin, wavy. Maybe a few with nice patterns," she babbled on, rather liking the idea of Patterson padding around her little cabin, even if it was for perfectly professional reasons.
"Uniforms an be uncomfortable after a long time. It may be wise to replicate something more...enjoyable," Faye allowed, softly, her voice almost a whisper. Her lips curled into a little smile and she gently reached down, telegraphing the move as she went. As was her way, she took her time, giving Riley plenty of time to stop her, but knowing the nurse was going to do no such thing. Not judging by the waves of amusement she was picking up on, conciously or not. The fingertip dipped down, and ran across the bridge of Riley's nose, sending a spark of desire back along the Betazoid. She purred, and answered, "These kind of benefits. In my old quarters, I had three chairs. Great for having a conversation." There was a small pause, then she added, quietly, "but horrible for things like...cuddling, for instance. Snuggling up under one of those nice blankets I need to replicate..."
"Who knows what might happen?" She whispered, trying to be coy, trying not to assume, while doing just that all the same.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
"I do have to warn you about the risk of falling with rugs!" Riley replied teasingly as it in fact was a truth. Though it mostly applied to the elderly. "Especially the thick ones where you can trip over." she mused contently before laughing a little "Also, maintenance wise, they're a pain I imagine, but nothing we can't solve I bet." she rambled on before she got Faye to talk about the uniforms.
"Any suggestion on what I should replicate Faye?" she asked, granting the Betazoid free reign of what she was offered to wear. She looked into Faye's eyes as she dipped her finger down and it made her nose wriggle a little before she laughed softly and closed her eyes, enjoying the touch "Mmh, I could replicate a top and some slacks or something easier." she whispered softly as she kept her eyes closed and crossed her legs.
Riley's mind kicked a gear higher as Faye started talking about snuggling and crawling under blankets. The smirk forming on her face as she opened her eyes "Mmh, I'd make those blankets a top priority on your list..." she offered softly as she reached up with her own hand, fingers tracing along her neck up to her chin before following her jawline "I remember back when I was in my teens, I used to watch old movies with the girl next door. We had a giant couch as well and used to crawl in them with fleece blankets with just our underwear on or in our night tops... Shirley and I did some experimenting on each other too some nights..." she mused, sharing a memory with Faye without any shame and with full thrust.
"Anyway, I'm getting distracted... Clothes, anything I should slip on besides this uniform ensign?" she asked her teasingly and with a snicker as her eyes locked back with hers.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Red seeped into Faye's cheeks as Riley asked her what she should replicate herself to wear around Faye's quarters. Her mind didn't quite short out, exactly, but it did seems to skip a few beats as she drifted from one outfit to another. She herself, when left to her own devices, Faye tended to wear loose, flowing robes when not on duty. Easily clenched at the waist with a belt, light - or heavy, depending on the weather and climate - and utterly comfortable. Clothing under was usual optional, and non-existent. Again, when given her own preferences. But she wasn't dressing herself just then, she was being asked what to put Riley in. And tempting as it was, Faye dismissed the first option that came to mind. And the second. And the third. The fourth as well, though it had her smiling quite a bit.
Turning her head a bit, Faye pressed her lips against Riley's palm, listening instead of answering right away. She closed her eyes, and as she did, she felt the full weight of the memory flood through the barrier she had. Surprised, her eyes snapped open wide again, and her cheeks darkened further. Faye had not at all expected to actually see what was going through Riley's mind as she spoke, though in addition to the memory itself - in the fuzzy warm, but equally clear tones of a fond moment, cherished years later - Faye picked up the desire, from Riley, for Faye to experience it. Still, she wouldn't have thought that should have worked, and yet, there they were, with Faye experiencing the nights that Riley spoke of.
Her defenses had to be pretty poor at this point, if a non telepath could project at her in such a way.
Or maybe I'm just being more carefree with her? she pondered, biting her lip before twisting to kiss one of Riley's fingertips. Finally speaking up, she quietly told the nurse, "I think, personally, that a fleece blanket would be a perfect way to test out the replicator here in my new quarters." She spoke slowly, clearly, and shifted one of her legs under Riley, as the hand that had played with her nose shifted to rub down Riley's arm, fingers dipping under the sleeve of the girls uniform. "I think....something nice. Something light and clingy."
A small gleam seemed to spark in her eyes, "I like things that are soft to the touch, feely, if you will. Hence the desire for all the rugs." Her smile grew wider as she relaxed more, easing back into the crook of the couch, stretching her other foot out, wiggling the toes in the air. "Nice, clingy lounge pants maybe?"
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
She could see the wheels working in Faye's head as she had given her the task to figure out what she had to wear. It was sort of cute and mostly funny to look at before the diplomat turned her head to kiss her palm and after that her fingers. The smile grew wider for the nurse as she played along and just relaxed completely in the moment. Her own mind however considering what she could wear and a few ideas already popped to mind.
The blush on Faye's cheeks made Riley wonder what she had felt or seen. If it was what Riley was thinking or reminiscing about, she could surely understand as Shirley and herself did more than just kissing and feeling. The two of them had shared a blossoming romance for a year and a half before both of them got back to dating guys. The time they spent though was adorable and filled with some hotness. Oh how they loved to make boys crazy with their flirtatious and outgoing behavior. Thank God, their parents never caught on to it. in the meantime, she had felt the fingers of Faye slip under the wrists of her uniform and it made her body all tingly and desperate for more.
The suggestion from Faye came to wear something that was nice to the touch, yet comfortable for the petty officer as well. Riley thought about it and figured she might as well wear something sporty in case she'd want to work out later on. Yet it had to be nice to the touch... An idea brewed in her mind and she nodded "I have something in mind...." she mused as she sat up and looked into Faye's eyes. She bit her lower lip before she leaned in softly, long enough for Faye to stop her if she would, before stealing a kiss from her lips. Her hand cupping the side of her face as she broke the kiss just as quickly before hopping out of the couch and walking over to the replicator. "Right, lets see..." she murmured as she replicated her new outfit first. A loose blue top that would hide most of her chest curves, yet allowed for plenty of room for Faye to sneak her hands under and a rather tight fitting yet ultra soft legging that would keep her warm, in addition she requested for a sports bra of her own, the same type as Faye's only in the same color as her underwear. She made another request at the replicator for a fleece blanket in Bordeaux red.
Once she had collected everything she hopped back to the couch and place her clothes on the table before installing herself back next to Faye. She laid down again and spread the fleece over them "See! It's like cuddle heaven!" she exclaimed with a laugh before she looked for eye contact again "By the way, want to help me get changed?" she teased the diplomat.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Still flushed from the shared memory but promising herself that she would worry about the implications of picking it up later, (much later, when Riley wasn't currently using her lap as a pillow) Faye instead watched, almost gleefully, as Riley seemed to settle in on something that would meet the parameters of what the diplomat had suggested. And she was further reassured, secure in the knowledge that Riley truly did have an interest in women. Betazoids were often very open to all sorts of opportunities - being able to read thoughts and the like tended to lead them towards that already, and their culture just adapted to it naturally, but not all species were that way, and even within more open societies, everyone had their own preferences. She could easily discern that Riley's parents might have been mortified, while her own - well, she didn't want to think about her own just then, all things considered. At least beyond a very brief plea that the continued to remain alive and well.
Banishing another possible path to darker thoughts, Faye refocused on the matter at hand. Namely that Riley had shifted up and was looking right at Faye. And then she was leaning in. It never one crossed Faye's mind that this was not professional, that they shouldn't, or any such thing like that. She never considered saying no. She allowed the kiss to happen. Not only that, she returned it full on, enjoying every second of it - short though that was. She smiled against the nurse's lips as they pulled away from each other, and then settled back into the crook of the couch once more, pulling a leg up to wrap her right arm around and resting her chin on her knee. Unable to help it, Faye licked her lips. "You're a good kisser, you know," She called out to Riley as the nurse went off to raid the replicator.
Seeing what all Riley had come up with made Faye grin brightly in delight. The blanket was rich in color and like all fleece, delightful to touch. Faye held her arms out almost like a child, curling her fingers in a universally understood 'gimmie' sign. Instead of getting the blanket she got an arm full of Riley, but the ensign wasn't at all about to complain there. "Well, hello there," she giggled, snuggling up as the blanket settled down atop them. Uniforms were not as fun to cuddle against, but the blanket was just as perfect as she'd imagined, and the setting was almost as pleasant as the one she'd gleaned from Riley's memories. Faye found her left hand had slid around the other womans hip, having fallen there all on its own.
Does it have a mind of its own now that its not real?Another thought to be dismissed, though not as nearly dark as one's she'd already had, Faye instead leaned in and brushed her lips to Riley's. Soft, feather light really, before she pulled right back, smiling, during her head slightly, letting her bangs fall forward. "I'd be happy to help," she replied, her voice a bit lower then before, those pitch black eyes of hers seeming to pick up on the light from the windows, the hue of the nebula around them making her gaze sparkle. "As long as you think I am up for it, I'm more than willing." She was already picturing not only pulling Riley out of the uniform, but the fun that could be had getting her dressed back up.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus "A good kisser?" Riley asked as the materials formed themselves "I can only hope so." she answered as she looked over her shoulder to Faye and winked playfully. She almost broke down in laughter as Faye used the almost universal sign to hand over the fleece to her and when she grabbed on to it and her she landed back into her. "Ahoi..." Riley replied to the welcoming message of the ensign. She felt the hand of Faye rest on her hip and Riley wiggled her hips a little to make sure Faye would be aware where her hand had landed.
As Faye leaned in and brushed her lips against Riley, the petty officer teasingly flicked her tongue against the lips of the diplomat before she broke the brief encounter and pulled back. "Hmm, I think you'll be up for it, easier to undress or redress someone in a seated position. No need for you to stand or anything, plus I'll help." Riley snickered as she had a mischievous glint in her eyes "What to take off first? Top or bottoms?" she asked her teasingly.
Her eyes were trained on Faye's as she wondered with what choice the diplomat would go first. If anything Faye wouldn't have to do much as she thought she would have. Riley would have her do as much as she could, yet the whole ordeal might look more like a strip show from Riley herself in hindsight. Yet she didn't want to deny the pleasure to the freshly out of stasis diplomat. A voice in the back of her mind scolded at her though, not sure if Nicander would agree to her behavior or treatment methods. Yet right now, Riley couldn't fucking care less about rules and regulations. Right now, she wanted only to bring pleasure and happiness to her new Betazoid girlfriend.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Battle Sickbay | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Faint impressions of swiftly dismissed concern filtered through as the nurse snuggled in closer. Faye took some solace in knowing that both girls had weighed, and discarded, any concern over professionalism at this point.Or over moving too fast for that matter. She felt Riley twist in against her, well aware of where her hand was, and squeezed down onto the nurses thigh.
"Where to begin, where to begin," she teasingly pondered aloud as one word resonated from the the nurse.
Girlfriend, bounced around her mind quite a bit.
Yeah, who cares what the Doctor would say, Faye concluded,
I am going to enjoy every second of this. With that decision firmly in mind, and riding the high of a new budding relationship, Faye gently reached out to the girl in her arms and ran her fingers over the uniform shoulder, dancing across the grey top. She brought them in, from the shoulders, to the neck, oh so slowly, before finding the hidden zipper at the base of the grey, where it met the darker black of the main body of the uniform.
"Lets start with this," Faye concluded, an impish grin sprouting on her face. "That way neither of us has to move quiet yet." And as she spoke, she dragged her leg up, letting her bare foot caress the back of Riley's leg. Slowly, oh so slowly, she tugged the zipper down, humming as she did, eyes still seeming to glow with starlight. "What do we have under here, I wonder?" She knew what was under there, but it was more fun this way the, the two of them draped over each other on the couch. She'd prod Riley into standing up once she was out of the shirts.
And maybe....just maybe, she'd let her lips do a little exploring while this happened. If she were up for it. Faye realized she had no idea how out of shape she was, or how exerting this would - or wouldn't - end up being. But there was only one way to find out, and she wanted to find out very badly in that moment.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
The squeeze against her thigh left an audible moan from the nurse's lips, ever so softly as she felt her own cheeks redden because of it. As Faye teased on where to start, Riley snickered and remained at her mercy as she felt the hand of Faye go over her uniform before she found what she was looking for. The zip of the uniform being opened sounded far too tantalizing as it was and it made Riley's heartbeat skip a beat. Her breathing was turning more erratic as the diplomat exposed her more and more.
An electric shock seemed to go through her system as Faye used her bare foot to caress the back of Riley's leg. The nurse looking back up into the eyes of the Betazoid as the girl teased by wondering what was hiding underneath. It seemed to take forever before the uniform was open entirely. Riley looked down at her exposed skin that peeked through the slid open uniform before she sat up a bit more and slowly undid the top part of her uniform. Remaining in the standard issue bra, she reached behind her and unclasped it herself as she kept her eyes on Faye. "Well, you saw this part already... Yet not... What hides .... Underneath..." she said teasingly before the fabric dropped down onto her lap. She didn't flinch or covered her modest, yet perky breasts up.
"So what's next?" she asked her teasingly "Do I get dressed up first again or do you want me to shed off everything ensign?" she asked softly, almost in a whisper as she purposely called her by rank. She did wonder how far Faye wanted to take this. Sure, their connection had been rather strong and natural, yet Riley didn't know how far away she was from the comfort zone of the diplomat. Riley was normally not this clingy or quick to fall in love. Yet Faye seemed different and it was weird for Riley, who occasionally hooked up for one night stands with some members aboard this ship.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
With an outright gleeful expression, Faye watched as Riley took over. Where the diplomat had been teasingly sloe, torturing herself with the removal of the upper jacket from Riley, the nurse had made relatively short work of the teal undershirt, exposing that regulation bra that she wore underneath. Form fitting, supportive, and serviceable - Starfleet standard gear to a 't', as her mother would have said. Not unpleasing, but not flattering either. It did the job, and did it well, in the same slate grey that most of the halls were decked out in on the
Theurgy. Much more delightful was what lay under neath, the one part that Faye hadn't seen in person yet, only caught glimpses of in memory.
Again, she wondered if perhaps they were moving too fast. if this were a one night stand she would not at all be worried. One and done and call it a day. But then, Faye wouldn't be jumping down the rabbit hole for a one night stand so soon after being given such devestating news. That wasn't her way of handling grief.
Just let it happen, she quietly told herself, leaning back to watch Riley toss the bra away, and enjoy the way the light of the nebula played across the nurse's bare skin.
"I like what I see, Petty Officer," she replied.
Two can play the rank game Miss Paterson, she quietly added to herself, smirking a bit. A power dynamic without any threat of actual abuse of rank - Faye didn't have it in her to do such a thing, especially not when she'd pick up on the despair an an actual abuse of rank might inflict upon the subordinate officer. While not unheard of, it was quite rare for a Betazoid to be a willing abuser, to strip away someones consent.
Leaning in very carefully, Faye looked up, watching Riley. "I think," she spoke slow and soft as she placed a kiss to the nurses neck, gently, "That we can take everything off," another kiss, on the collar bone. "Before we dress you back up." A third kiss, just above where she believed the woman's heart was. If she remembered her basic anatomy, Humans carried their hearts on the left side, while Betazoids carried theirs on the left. There were other differences, but that was the only one that sprung to mind for Faye just then.
She was, admittedly, distracted, as she let her tongue dart out, licking around the swell of Riley's left breast, before leaving her mouth open and agape, breathing over the girls nipple. She was being forward -
too forward? - just then, so she asked, "If that works for you?" Leaving her mouth there, hovering, not quite touching any more, dark eyes looking up. With her abilities she could probe the other woman's mind, but right then, she wanted to hear it said, not invade and read Riley's thoughts.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
"I'd hope so..." Riley answered in a purr as Faye voiced out that she enjoyed the view. The light of the nebula made the room look rather special. The different colors of it from the window shining in as they plastered the skin of the petty officer with a nice layout of color changes on her skin. Obviously, Riley wasn't too aware of it as she watched Faye lean in closer. She spoke up again and she dropped kisses over her skin as Riley closed her eyes and enjoyed the attention of her lips exploring part by part of her skin.
She had to chuckle a little at her words as she teasingly asked "All that in one fluent go or do you want to stall certain aspects?" she asked the ensign as she arched her back a little when she felt her lips plant one on the left side of her chest. Riley didn't work any more clothes off just yet as she wanted to enjoy every bit. They had time, plenty of time really to explore and enjoy each other.
Her words silenced and replaced by an audible gasp as the ensign darted her tongue out against the swell of her breast. Her body quickly developing goosebumps all over while it was far from the only thing that stiffened. Faye could notice the peaks of the nurse's breast hardening as well before they came perfectly into view and range.
The last question took Riley a bit to answer too and she nodded slowly, without giving any form of audio to the diplomat. She stirred a little in her spot, chest heaving a little as she breathed in and out deeply. The effect was that the nipple Faye was hovering about, teasingly brushed against her lips, just once or twice and only very briefly. "I can work with that..." she voiced out eventually as she opened he eyes slowly to look down at the girl.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Deep dark pools of warmth seemed to gaze back up at Riley as Faye hovered her mouth over the girls chest. The desire there was quite strong, and it ate at Faye, curling about in the pit of her stomach.
Too fast, too fast, you're being very bold, the voice in her head refused to be silent, but the betazoid equally refused to listen, to deny herself something happy in the sea of sadness she'd awoken in. That probably wasn't the healthiest choice, but she could feel a matching desire radiate off the nurse in her quarters. With the slight tingling on her lips from the brush of flesh to them, the dark haired beauty was not about to deny the impulses that were building.
"Good," she quietly stated, allowing her lips to brush that taut skin as she spoke the word. Careful fingers moved up, brushed along the nurses rib cage before settling down on her hips. Using her grip for support as much as control, Faye tugged Riley just a bit closer. She knew, deep down, that she wouldn't be up for much - she couldn't even get dressed earlier without getting winded after all.
Not that I'll let it stop me. not tonight. She'd go as far as she was able then. Slow, and tender.
With that firmly in her mind she pressed her lips to the offered nub of flesh, curling them over Riley's nipple. A light kiss at first, then another, and another, each more amorous than the one before, ending with her tongue swirling over the nipple and her lips clamping down to suck, popping free and leaving the little pebble to glisten. A low moan bubbled up out of Faye as she sucked away, trailing kisses across Riley's chest as her thumbs rubbed circles against the petty officers hip bones, dipping under the hem of her uniform pants.
It was the first time Faye had been with a woman since being stationed at Khitomer. Then, it had been a quick, one night affair with a half klingon diplomatic aide stationed at the historic conference center. A true union of Federation and Klingon cultures, their tryst had been brief and - in true Klingon fashion - left them both bruised, blood and sated. While Faye had enjoyed the moment, and treasured the learning experience, she knew there was no way they would work out. Thankfully, the aide knew it as well, and in equally true Klingon fashion, the relationship (such as it was) was briskly ended.
All of that fluttered across Faye's mind in between sucking on one nipple and slowly licking up the swell of the other breast being offered to her.
Not at all like that time she thought to herself, purring as she pulled away from the right nipple now and very, very pointedly met Riley's gaze, licking her lips and moaning softly.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus The moment seemed perfect and Riley was lost to the touch of the ensign as she felt the nimble fingers run along her rib cage before she settled her hand down on her hips. She pushed her chest up more needy now as Faye had tugged her a little closer as well. The idea of Faye not being able to dress herself properly, yet being able to do this, crossed her mind. A reminder that she shouldn't push the buttons of the Betazoid too far, that last thing they needed was her to relapse.
The idea quickly being washed away when Faye went for it. Her lips curling over the offered peak before the light kisses turned into more. The wetness and warmth of the muscle painting against the skin of the petty officer, followed by a suck that made Riley moan out in joy before Faye popped loose. The cool air relatively quickly swept in and only made the nipple ache a bit as it hardened even more by the atmosphere. Riley allowed the diplomat to roam more kisses over her chest as her fingers were making her loins ache with desire. She could feel them dipping down the hem of her uniform pants and Riley ever so slightly raised her hips a little to allow the diplomat to reveal more.
The left breast was lavished with equal attention before popped loose from that one as well. Her face slowly coming back into view as she licked her lips and moaned ever so softly. Riley gently placed both her hands against the face of the diplomat, her fingers open as they cupped a bit behind her ears before she leaned in and kissed Faye full on the lips. Each kiss more passionate as after a few kisses, her tongue darted out to lick Faye's lips before teasingly prodding to gain entrance in the mouth of the other woman. She wanted to taste her, completely...
On hand slowly ventured over her cheeks down her neck. She felt up the structure of her skin, muscles and bones as she trailed her left hand over the shoulder of the diplomat before sinking down her chest. She felt u the swell of the other woman's breast before giving it a gentle squeeze, hands running further down to reach underneath the fabric of her clothing.

Those eyes grew wider, and wider, still smoldering dark, as Riley's fingers moved across her lightly golden skin. Her lips parted when the tips of the nurses nail crazed behind those ears, a shiver running down her whole frame. Briefly a soft, rolling moan bubbled up, but then there were soft, delicious lips crashing down onto Faye's mouth, muffling the noises she made. Pressure on her lips, wet, warm, demanding entrance, parting them with ease, and then their tongues were dancing and the darker haired Betazoid was falling back, taking Riley with her, fingers still hooked on the hem of those pants, using them to keep her new found lover pressed closer to her.
An almost intolerable yearning built in Faye's chest, something cracking inside, as the kiss deepened and the diplomat gave herself over to her partner, to their shared desire. Her walls crumbled, and she picked up on the need coursing through Riley, feeding her own. She sensed, before she felt, the impish impulse in the other woman, before fingers tips moved to squeeze against Faye's restrained perky breast. The cloth denied her the joy of skin to skin contact but the attaché felt her eyes go wide and a whimper escape all the same.
"Riiilllley~" She managed to get out before those sweet lips stole her breath away again. Her fair skin began to flush, darkening in color as her hips rolled up to press against the nurse now mostly atop her. A few more tugs, and Faye had Riley where she wanted, her hands sliding around that waist band to fumble at the clasp. She wanted the nurse out of everything, right then right there, and knew deep down that the brunette was eager for it as well. But she also sensed, deeper still, that mantel of a healer, determined to care for her charge. That urge to protect melted Faye, and she rolled up again, pressing as much of her body to Riley as she forced those uniform pants open, the sound of a zipper pulled apart cutting into the noises the two women made.
Eventually though, Faye broke the kiss, her head lulling back into the crook of the couch. Those hands still reached out, holding Riley's pants open, catching a glimpse of the panties underneath. Darting up, along the bare body, to the nurse's face, Faye moaned again, licking her lips visibly once more. Despite the sports bra and the tank, her own nipples were tight little peeks, clearly visible under the darkened clothes she wore, and her breathing was slowing back to normal, even as her pulse raced. All the reasons she shouldn't do this were long forgotten in the moment, as she let go of the pants and slid her fingers along the swell of Riley's stomach. In that moment, the only regret she had was that she couldn't let Riley feel what she herself felt.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus The entrance to the mouth of Faye was easily granted and Riley took her time to explore the warmth of it as their tongues collided and fought out a small battle for dominance. It would be fair to say that neither party won or lost as the muffled moans and groans from both parties were silenced. Patterson could feel the shift in balance as they french kissed and dropped forward against Faye as she sunk into the couch a bit. The hands of the diplomat still holding on to the hem of her pants.
The kiss broke slowly and Riley licked her lips as she pulled back a bit to get some air. When she heard the diplomat call out her name, she grinned before she seized the space between them once more to kiss her. The audible click was heard when the claps of her pants were zipped opened and Riley wiggled her hips out of the pants, her underwear still on her body, yet shifted out of it's original position.
Every now and again Patterson could feel the hips of the diplomat roll up against her own as the need to melt into one another became bigger and bigger. The muffled sounds between them only becoming more frequent as the nurse noticed the peaks under the clothes of the ensign. She started to tug at the clothes of the woman underneath her. She needed to feel her skin against hers and the fact that the diplomat was far too weak to participate in such lusts were pushed to the extremities of the nurse's mind.
The kiss was broken once more when Faye's fingers trailed down the swell of Riley's stomach, the fingers slipping under the uniform pants, yet also under the fabric of her underwear. It didn't take long for Faye to feel that stripe of hair, leading the way for the warmer moister core of the nurse. Riley looked into the dark eyes of her lover as she pushed herself up a little, granting Faye the view of Riley's body and where her hand was going.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Long gone were the mental warnings of 'too soon, too fast,' replaced instead by the deep seated desire to touch what had once been seen and was now being so freely offered. Stupid of her, perhaps, but she was willing to pay any price for that after the fact. Faye latched onto that burning need for contact, for reassurance in the cold dark night of space and the wake of all the horror she'd learned of before. Sunk her emotional claws into the waves of desire and curiosity she felt rolling off her current paramour, and basked in that warmth like a cat, stretched out in a ray of terrestrial sunlight.
In practicality, that lead to Faye arching her back upwards, practically thrusting her chest at Riley when the woman attacked her clothes, pushing the tank and bra up out of the way. Her breasts felt slightly cool for a moment, the heat from them fading into the air, and her darker, dusky nipples were just as taut as the half hidden peeks had suggested. Up close it was easy to see that her well defined globes were somewhat smaller than Riley's, but had a nice heft to them all the same, a pleasant perkiness that demanded attention. They were perfectly framed by the bottom band of the sports bra, having been pushed up over the top of her tits, drawing a firm line across her collar bone.
But to be fair, Faye wasn't as concerned with her own personally exposed state (Betazoid's and their lack of physical modesty) and more so with the state of the nurse straddling her. Giving up all pretense of not starring - because she
knew how much Riley wanted her to stare just then - Faye's obsidian gaze dropped to follow her hand as she twisted it around a bit, flattened her palm, and let her fingers follow the father soft downy hairs hidden mostly from view. She slid along the trail, delighting in the texture of that happy little tuft, until her breath hitched and she let out a low gasp. The fine hairs gave way to a different, warmer texture, soft petals under her fingers.
With a dexterous ease that belied the fact that Faye was not at 100% by any means, the diplomat hooked her thumb up and over the hem of Riley's panties, pushing them down slightly as her hand trailed south. Her fingers danced, so gentle at first, over the folds she felt there, before she carefully parted them, spreading the flesh under her hand, then rolling her palm down over the other girls sex. She closed her fingers again as the tips reached the bottom of those precious folds, squeezing upwards against Riley's slit, covering it with her hand. Her thumb caused some of the fabric to dig and rub against the sensitive flesh, and Faye could just see the tips of that strip of pubic hair poking up above the line of her arm.
"Good?" She asked, her voice husky, already knowing the answer.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus With the exposure of the flesh to the nurse, Riley felt the skin on skin contact of their chests against each other. Their breasts grazing against one another before she looked down to view the slightly smaller globes. She smiled a little and kissed her way to them, starting at Faye's neck, chin, back down her throat and over the pushed up clothing to the perkiness that begged for her attention. Riley didn't waste any time with them as her warm, tongue caressed over the skin, encircling the darker nipples before swirling around them and planting her lips against them. She moistened them, each in turn before pulling back and letting the cool air do it's work.
There was little time to savor the victory of turning Faye on when she felt the Betazoid's flat palm traveling further south. It sent a tingly surprise through her body and Faye closed her eyes to enjoy every bit of it. Her breathing hitched and her mouth formed an O-shape as the hand went further and further. She could feel her fingers over her aroused lips, slipping over them, causing her to moan softly.
It didn't take the diplomat long to push down the panties of the nurse, granting her even more access now as she tugged them down. This wasn't exactly new territory for Riley, yet it had been quite some time ago. Her eyes rolled around behind her closed eyelids as Faye parted the sensitive lips before rolling her palm over it. It caused for the pretty girl to push her hips into the hand, craving for as much contact as she could with it as she mewled in pleasure. Yet Faye wasn't done as she continued with the enhanced pleasuring of the nurse. She could feel how damp the nurse got by her actions and the question she posed was pretty much answered by her low groan while her pelvis rocked against her hand.
Regardless Riley nodded quickly, not stopping before she opened her eyes and was almost at the verge of begging for more "Very..." she replied softly as she wanted Faye to be pleased as well. Her heart pounding in her throat as this situation had escalated rather quickly. From bringing her out of Stasis to being pleasured by the same woman in just hours. Riley couldn't really believe it as she rested her forehead against Faye's. She tilted her head so she could kiss her lover, eagerly and hungrily claiming her lips as her hips grinded against her hand for more attention.
Her hands roamed over the diplomat, tugging at the tank and sports bra, wanting to free Faye from any clothing she was still wearing on her upper body. Yet at the same time she wanted to free the diplomat from her pants and underwear. However everything at it's time she imagined as Faye was driving her mad with desire already while on the outside the Betazoid looked rather calm herself.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
There was something incredibly arousing about literally holding a woman's desire in the palm of one's hand - or so Faye managed to think, between panted breaths and heated kisses. Her nipples were hard as the rocks that made up the fabled Janaran Falls, Riley's devious attentions leaving her wanting more, so much more, as the coolness of the air caressed the wetted nubs. The nurse may have thought Faye to be calm and collected, compared to the rolling desire that came off of Riley, but the diplomat was anything but inside. Breathless, flushed, and so needy. With the nurse concentrating on Fayes top, she'd be unable to see - until they came off at least - the pooling heat between Faye's legs. The way that dampness spread, darkening the panties she wore, hidden by the shorts entirely.
Nothing was hidden
from Faye however. Not physically, as she felt the dripping heat on her palm, and rubbed it in turn back into those precious folds; nor visually. She could see the thin strip of pubic hair every time she slide her palm back down, letting her finger tips brush the space behind Riley's sex, tickling that between space, before dragging them back over the petals. And in her mind - well, Faye could feel that need build, that want for more, much more. If her hands weren't already so occupied, she might very well have thrown one across her forehead, so overwhelming were the sensations coming into her mind, assaulting her abilities. She let the wall crumble further, cracks spreading as the Betazoid's brain bloomed like her paramour's core.
She felt that amazement at how fast things were going, and how long it had been, but also how welcome it was. She felt that need to drive Faye (her) wild. And she felt that burning, ceaseless want for more, much more. And as the kiss broke, Faye sagged back and bit her own lip, eyes sparking with mischief. Bare-chested, her breasts rising up with each long breath, Faye spread her fingers, in turn parting those slick folds, and then eased the middle finger of that hand up. Her other hand moved to tweak one of Rieley's nipples, tugging it sharply, just before she pushed the first knuckle of her finger into the girls channel.
The moan that escaped Faye's mouth as she felt Riley's heat enfold her was downright lewd, and that thought made her giggle softly. "oh my, did I do this?" She was trying to tease the other girl but failed to realize how breathless her words sounded. What was meant to tease instead came much closer to a tone of wonder. Thinks had rapidly escalated, leaving better judgement and regulations far behind in a cloud of dust. Once again, she groaned out a soft, "Riley," as her own hips wiggled under the nurse. Her face was flushed, and soon a thin sheen of sweat would break out, but for the moment Faye had no intention of stopping.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
Faye never ceased to stop the simple yet ever so gratifying movement of her hand against the sex of Riley. The nurse herself was surprised by how aroused and moist she got from the simple teasing of the Betazed woman. It was crazy that she was even doing this with her as a patient under her care. A new stifled moan left her lips as her hands ran from over Faye's sides over to her globes before scraping down the front of her body to her shorts. The fingers of the nurse hooked behind the two pieces of fabric that held the core of the woman hidden from her and she tugged them down eagerly, hastily and with a certain need.
Faye however made that simple task far harder than it would appear to be. The diplomat had spread her fingers and spread the petals of the lovely nurse as Riley felt the cool air caress her core. The eyes of the naked woman closing and tightly squinting them a bit as a new hungry moan escaped from her lips. The entire process became even harder when the middle finger of the diplomat dipped in to run through her. The legs of Patterson starting to tremble while her hips leaned in more to the touch of the other woman. Top top it over, Faye lashed out her attention to her nipples, and the eyes of Riley widened with a loud groan when Faye popped the first knuckle inside of her womanhood.
"Oh my, did I do this?"
The attempt to tease her was working perfectly for Riley, however her words were something entirely different as Riley looked down at Faye. A spark of concern went through her as she heard how breathless she had sounded, however, it was nothing compared to the pleasure the ensign was giving to her. In response, Riley pushed her pelvis down, moving Faye's finger deeper into her channel, as another knuckle was pressed passed her folds and the warm walls of the nurse hugged against the finger. The ensign could feel the wall tightening around the finger every now and again as Riley panted and bit her lower lip as she rolled her hips against her hand, almost riding her hand in a desperate attempt to get more pleasure out of it.
In the meantime her fingers hand finally managed to get a decent hold of the shorts and underwear Faye was wearing. The tug Riley gave Faye was one with a strong message behind it. She needed to get out of these clothes. Right now. She couldn't stand that she was completely nude while the ensign was still semi clothed, it wasn't fair really... Riley was impatient though as her hand didn't completely tug down the fabric and instead just snaked down under it and slid down the smooth skin in search for the warm core of the ensign.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
Ens. Eloi-Danvers got her answer all right, in the way that Riley decided to take over. The nurse sunk down further, pushing Faye's finger deeper into her wet channel, eliciting a new wide eyed moan from the Betazoid. She could feel the need, the want - and the concern - boiling inside the nurse and it made Faye's pulse quicken in lust, and perhaps a hint of something more.
Too soon to analyze she told herself, trusting her impressions of the nurse to guide her, and allowing herself to sink deeper into a haze of lust. Easily aided, of course, by the rocking of Riley's hips, grinding against the officer's hand.
Her palm flattened against Riley, teasing that finger in to the hilt of her hand, trapping it in the girl now fully speared on her probing digit. And probing was exactly what Faye did. As she felt those silken walls pulse around her, she curled the tip of her finger and dragged the pad across the roof of Riley's channel in a slow, teasing rub, back and forth, back and forth. Never really leaving the tight hole, Faye did her best to literally stroke Riley's fires, barely noticing as her own pants were jerked down.
Hips rose, making it just a bit easier, but with Riley on top of her, and the diplomat not being at full strength by any means, the flustered women could not get the shorts and underlaying orange panties completely off. But that left her girlfriend -
girlfriend? undeterred, and suddenly it was Faye who was feeling fingers caressing that trimmed patch of fuzz, cut close to the skin. And then, as she let out a keening moan of want, and pushed up hard with her own finger, she felt the hand close across her damp slit.
"Oh yes, oh please," she whimpered, realizing she badly craved this connection. Thoughts poured in to Faye's mind, some of them Riley's, like the wonder at how long it had been for her to be with a woman, and some of them Faye's own, like the ideal question about Riley's preferences, and whether or not she aught to fully shave herself for that wedding lesson. It all seemed to buzz around in her mind, over and over, the same thoughts, the same observations, repetitive to the point of becoming a pleasing background noise of desire and curiosity, all to be sated upon the hands of the wonderful woman caring for her in every way.
Faye did the only thing she could think of, the only thing her instincts and desires would allow her in that moment. She leaned up and grabbed the back of Riley's head with her false hand, lacing her fingers into the lighter locks of hair, and pulling the woman down into a searing kiss as heat built around the hand trapped between her legs.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus Wit her slick sex trapping the finger of Eloi-Danvers in her, Riley though t things couldn't get any worse. How wrong she was when the Betazoid started to curl her finger against the roof of her core. Shock of pleasure pulsing through her entire body was the response as the hips of the nurse started to ride the flattened hands of the nurse even more. The feeling of pleasure only being amplified as the darker haired girl moved her finger back and forth without ever leaving her. If anything, Faye was fueling Riley's fires instead of putting them down.
In the meantime Riley got her hand where she wanted it, the response of the diplomat was to push her own digit deep inside of Riley and it caused for a needy moan from the nurse as she closed her eyes again and panted a little. Sweat was forming of her skin, causing her to glisten a little in the light of the nebula. She could hear the whimpering words of the ensign as her hand had traveled over the little bush and finally reached the moist heated core.
Riley returned the favor to Faye as she used her fingertips to brush over the clit of the woman, dipping over it to slide the tips of those fingers through the soft delicate lips. She ran them all the way through at a torturing low pace and once she reached the bottom of it, she lead them back up, applying just a bit more pressure as she felt her fingers turning more slicker. "Oops..." she teased before Faye pulled her in for a searing kiss.
Riley kissed Faye back with as much passions as she could muster, moans muffled together with groans as her hips kept riding the inserted digit in her womanhood. Riley deepened the kiss once more by slipping her tongue passed Faye's lips, rubbing her tongue against hers. Yet at the exactly same time, she inserted her own middle finger into the diplomat's heated channel. Pushing in knuckle by knuckle until she too had the finger dragged in to the hilt. A small grin decorating her lips as she kissed Faye more hungrily.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
There was a certain distinctive thrill that ran right up Faye as the tips of Riley's fingers slid down, and teased her clit. The little nub seemed to strive to keep contact, slick and prominent and electrified to the touch. The betazoid's dark eyes snapped wide, and her mouth made a silent little 'o' of delighted pleasure that quickly became a look of horrified glee as she remembered something key:
At the end of the day, Faye was ticklish, down below the belt. Her feet as well, and a few other places, but all that mattered then was that she was sensative and easily tickled in a rather intimate place. And that silent moan became a sharp giggle, as her body squirmed up in reply to Riley. It wasn't bad, by any means, but it had been so long that the sudden shock of a gentle touch across those parted petals was enough to make her twitch and giggle, totally missing Riley's sweet, snarky little "oops". Then there were kisses being poured onto her mouth and the giggling moans became lost between the two women's mutual desire.
All those ticklish muffled squeals shifted rapidly into a muted, needy groan of pure wanton lust when Riley's finger rocked up into her. Those hips arched upward and Faye clamped down,
hard as wet warmth blossomed around the invading finger. Riley pushed on though, tight cleching walls non withstanding, until the betazoid could feel her finger buried up inside of her own sodden sex.
Both women, in short, had each other in their mutual grasp, spearing one another, and both were starting to grind and rock in synch. All of her teasing of Riley had left the diplomat woefully unaware of her own dripping need until she had Riley sheathed inside of herself. The fire quickly began to build from there, heat engulfing her whole frame, or so it felt like to the lithe diplomat.
Letting her head fall back into the couch again, and allowing her finger to probe deep, Faye writhed under Riley, biting her kiss swollen lip. "gods, but you're beautiful, Riley," she whispered, loving the way the light played on the nurses sweat soaked skin, the desire sparking in her eyes, all of it lead Faye to voice what she was thinking. Which was followed by embarrassment, which she hid by burying he own glistening face between the girls breasts, nibbling and licking with a renewed enthusiasm.
[ PO Riley Patterson | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus
The ticklish response of Faye made Riley startle for a second before she had to laugh a little at her cute laughter. It didn't stop her in continuing her goal. The kissing helped and while the hips of Faye rocked up as Riley had entered her, the warm wet blossoming sensation that wrapped around her finger felt wonderful. Unlike Faye, Riley didn't go for a scraping action with her finger. She instead chose for a circular motion inside the warm soft sex. Her fingertip grazing along the walls before slowly being extracted in a spiral like way. Before her finger was out entirely though, she pushed it back in and repeated the notion over again.
The kiss was broken when Faye pushed her head back and the heat in Riley's body was tremendous. She sucked in some air as her body writhed and turned while her hips kept rocking against the hand of Faye. The whispering words of Faye only made Riley blush a bit more and the heat build up as well. "T-Tha-nk y-you..." came out of her lips in a broken and hungry moan. She chewed on her own lips for a second before she let out a ragged moan when Faye went up and started to nibble and lick at her breasts.
She felt pure pleasure now and with her free hand, she grasped the dark locks of Faye as she feasted on her skin. The sweat adding some extra flavor to it as Rile sneakily pushed in a second digit into Faye. She wanted the diplomat over the edge, her own orgasm building up far too quickly by the actions of the diplomat and the fact that the touch of a women was ever so different of the touch of men. It was more subtle and Faye seemed to know exactly what places she needed to hit with that finger buried inside of her. She brought her face closer to Faye's ear and purred "I'm... s-so cl-ose.." she ended her statement with a nibble on her earlobe, sucking it as her second digit amplified the movements she produced within the diplomat.
[ Ens. Faye Lintah Eloi-Danvers | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07| USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Nolan (https://orig10.deviantart.net/d5e5/f/2017/180/d/e/faye_by_auctor_lucan-dbeicmy.png)
"Ah, ah, ahhhhh," Faye moaned, opened mouth, around Riley's tit as she began to pant louder and louder. She treasured the way Riley had moaned out her gratitude, right when Faye had went after the woman's nipples. And now her whole body was shacking, luxuriously, as she felt fingers tugging her sweat soaked hair. She was glad that Riley had a larger chest than her, so that she could hide herself against it, sure that she looked am ess just then, full of wanton desires. Betazoids were not self concious about nudity at all, but this sort of intimacy could make the best of them sensative.
And right then, with Riley's mind open to her like a book, Faye was extremely sensative. The twisting, circular teasing inside of her core was different from how she usually attended to herself, but it was no less wonderful for that difference. She basked in
feeling, knowing how close she was making Riley, how she was edging the other woman on, and how that in turn fed her own impending climax, adding fuel to the sweltering fire. Faye was sure that her new couch was going to be stained by the time they were done.
However, for all her vaunted telepathic abilities, she had no inkling what so ever that Riley was about to spread her wider. So when that second finger entered her, Faye managed to be caught unawares, and the moan turned into a new squeal as she was stretched around the second finger. "OHHHHHhhhh~ Riley," she mewled, eyes wide now, hips jerking faster and faster. A wet, slick noise filled the air, and Faye realized it was the sound of her core riding up and down on Riley's fingers. She pressed up harder in turn with her own digit, working her hand more forcefully, rolling it at the wrist so that her palm pressed to the girls clit.
Try as she might, she couldn't quite managed to convince her own hand to get a second finger into Riley. Instead, her fingers twitched about, sliding along the girls folds, teasing the space between Riley's slit and her bum, touching pretty much everywhere they could reach, but failing to find purchase. So all Faye could do, through the ever building wall of lust, was stroke Riley inside with her middle finger, scraping along that spongy spot she knew that both Betazoids and Terran's shared.
A new squeal burst out as Riley attacked her ear,, and Faye found her heart racing faster and faster at the revelation. She could feel it, that burning need between Riley's need, and it was something she loved about being a Betazoid. Haphazardly, she tossed her left arm back over Riley's shoulders, almost hanging onto the nurse as her own attentions began to grow erratic.
"Oh please, please oh please," she wailed out, rushing head long towards the same end goal as Riley. "Please, please, don't hold back. Go. go, go for me, Riley, please, please please I want to feel you to hear you, oh please, with me please" Faye was babbling and pleading now, poised on the edge, giving into every repressed desire.
"so close, so close, Oh Riley, please."
[ PO Riley Patterson | Ens. Eloi-Danvers Quarters | Deck 07 | USS Theurgy ] Attn: @Brutus The squeal Faye let out when her tight sex was invaded by a second lean finger was priceless for Riley as she giggled through a moan. It had been an impulsive move, one that she didn't think through or rolled around in her head, so she imagined it must've come as a complete surprise for her. Yet she could tell by her hips jerking faster against her digits that she fully enjoyed it. The sound of her wet slick noise only added to that edge closer to their mutual orgasm as Riley bit her lip and felt the response of Faye on her actions.
The harder upward push of her finger stifled the giggle of Riley and turned into more of a crying moan as her legs clamped down against the hand of the telepath. She had been ever so close and was about to tip over as the movements of her hand only fueled that tipping point more and more. She wouldn't be able to hold out for much longer. Faye had replied to her own climax nearing in the meantime, almost begging to push her over so they would reach a mutual peak. That time was now...
Faye was hanging on her shoulder which caused for Riley to insert herself as much as she could on the finger and hand beneath her. Her hips bucking violently now as Faye could feel the slick warm core of Riley contracting. A surge of bodily fluids pooled on her hand as she was not only teasing the inside of the nurse, yet also the skin just behind her sex while her palm and wrist had caused for the desired friction against her swollen clit.
In the meantime Riley didn't hold back as Faye requested, she pushed both fingers deeper inside of Faye and once they had been deep enough, she spread them as far as she could, stretching the walls a little while moving her fingers against those warm velvet walls up and down. Patterson closed her eyes as her breathing hitched, the flood of warmth rushing through her as she kissed Faye's neck and sucked it gently as she used the skin to muffle her own cry of pleasure. The lower body of the nurse bucking erratically as her breathing hitched as she had been pushed over that edge and pure bliss ran through her body.

There it was...
there it was! Faye could feel it, could feel Riley tensing, responding, giving into Faye's pleading and her own bodies desire. Her hips were sinking down onto the diplomats finger, her legs were termbling, her body was slick with sweat and her mind -
oh by the gods what a beautiful, beautiful mind - Faye thought to herself, the pure bliss washing over her as Riley's fires were stoked.
And then they broke.
Riley latched onto Faye, her lips sucking onto the hollow of the darker woman's neck, and her legs trapped that hand, one finger deep inside. Flesh rippled and squeezed and the release that Riley succumbed to soaked Faye's hand. She could feel the heated surge pool and drip past her wirst and she bit her lip, hard, as stars threatened to blanket her view. It was everything she could do just to keep her finger working in Riley, as the sensations the other woman was broadcasting crashed down onto Faye's conscious. This, more than anything, was what Faye enjoyed about making love - feeling her partners release. She wished so deeply, as her whole world became heated and fuzzy, that she could share it in turn. But bonds like that, with non betazoids took
time and whatever was blossoming in that moment was too new, too fresh.
Too overpowering.
As Riley sucked away at her neck and muffled those sweet cries, she also wrenched her fingers apart, spreading the diplomat wide from the inside. She felt the resistance of her own muscles crumble to the sudden force, again catching her unawares and shocking her, with rippling pleasure. Faye coiled up like a spring, her whole body locking onto that one burning point, and then split into a million pieces as the orgasms rocked throughout her frame. She seemed to shake apart around Riley, a heat burning from within, fed by one from without, like a warp core breach had detonated between her juice slicked legs. Her hips came right on up off the now drenched couch, and her head flung back.
Unable to bury her face against Riley, as the nurse had done for her, Fayes long, broken moan rang out to fill the small quarters, ringing off the duranium laced walls. She clamped down tight on those invading fingers, milking them as hers had been milked in turn, her own wails of pleasure joining in with the nurses sweet mewling. She let out a stream of expletives and sweet nothings, all of it in her native tongue, rolling from her lips as she came apart, with mixed whimpers of "Riley," punctuating her convulsions. She slumped back down, body shivering uncontrollably, and clung to the nurse as consciousness threatened to leave her entirely. She couldn't focus, not her thoughts, not her vision, not even on controlling her breathing, simply panting and gasping as her whole body broke out in a fresh coat of sweat.
It was all so much, so sweet, so wonderful and heated, but too much, too too much.
Had it ever been like this before? So swift? So deep. So fulfilling? No, It hadn't.

It seemed that it didn't take long for her paramour to reach the same level of pleasure as she did. The peak one could feel at a certain point when stimulated just right was something marvelous and as Faye seemed to shake apart against Riley, her head flung back and the loud ringing moan seemed to echo through the room. At some point Riley wondered if anyone could hear them outside the quarters onto the corridors, yet the idea quickly dispersed when Faye said things in her native tongue, her name popping up a few times before she slumped down.
Riley nestled herself against Faye and slowly guided her back down against her end of the couch so she could rest on top of Riley. That way she could still keep an eye on her instead of laying on Faye and possibly cutting off her air supply by the intensity of the feelings running to her. While doing so, she pulled her fingers out of the heated sex of the Betazoid. Her fingers slowly being brought to her mouth as she parted her lips and tasted Faye. She licked and sucked her fingers clean before she giggled and placed the blanket back over them as their naked bodies rested against one another.
"You alright? Warm enough?" she asked softly to ensign Eloi-Danvers as she pushed her brown locks out of her face and behind her ear as she calmed down herself from her high and just basked in the afterglow of it. Her eyes feeling heavy as a small nap could be appreciated. She was curious enough to ask how it felt for her, though she sort of got her answer to that. She refrained from asking so again as she toyed with the hair of the ensign.

Faye was finally aware of herself again as she was pulled down on top of Riley. Everything from the moment of the explosion of passion to then, had blanked out for the recently revived officer. She didn't remember her hand sliding away from Riley, and she had only the faintest of impressions from the other woman about something tasting good. When she eventually sorted through the tumultuous thoughts, she'd blush as she realized what it was Riley had enjoyed so thoroughly. But just then, she was still too punch drunk to really focus on much of anything, her right hand tucked in between the two of them, her left, dangling off the side of the couch.
It wasn't until she was nestled in against Riley's chest, and she could hear the nurses heart beat thudding away against her ear that Faye seemed to come back to her senses. She drew in a slow breath through her nose and nuzzled the slick skin under her face. When she'd first been brought into her quarters by Riley, in that hover chair, the place had smelled antiseptic, sterile. Unused. But now, she could detect the odor of a heavy round of sex. Enthusiastic sense, as memory and emotion flooded back into her mind. The environmental controls would take care of that shortly. But as a result, the blush in her cheeks grew deeper, as did the smile on her list.
Dragging her false hand back up, she grabbed the hem of the blanket and pulled it just a bit further up her shoulder. She loved the color of it, she decided. The way it felt. And that it had been Riley that had selected it out of the replicator memory banks. With it settled over her shoulders, and the nurse stroking her cheek, Faye purred, deep and low. Or as close to a purr as a non felinoid could manage. Those dark eyes sprung open and darted up to meet Riley's blue orbs, and nodded, turning her head so she could kiss the nurse hand - tasting the faintest impression of her self on the girls palm.
Needless to say her cheeks became the color of her own uniform division as a few things settled into place.
Embarrassed, she answered, in a hushed voice, "I'm ...oh damn, there's no word for it in Standard," she huffed, smiling, "Closest I have is...overwhelmed with affection and contented. Exhausted and light headed, but...amazing. I just wish you could feel it too....feel what I'm feeling," she murmured. She
knew how Riley felt.
