She bit her lower lip again, when his hands continued to explore her body, enjoying his touch, and how it was clearly turning her on, the way her light flowed and fluctuated, as if her reactions could be read by the movement and motions of her light and aura. It was a mixture of longing and relief that she felt when he moved to sit down and try the food she'd prepared. Trepidation and anticipation was her next array of feelings as he took a bite of the sandwich. Did she do it wrong? Was it bad? Was it utterly the worst thing that went into his mouth? Heather had something of an acquired taste when it came to food, and it wasn't necessarily everyone's cup of tea, as she well knew.

So when he said that the food tasted so right, she blinked for a moment, having expected disapproval, but met with a positive response made her knees weaker than they already were, coupled with the building fever, and she nearly collapsed on him, but let herself slip into the chair near him, her aura of light shifting to pink and white shades, and a smile slowly spread across her face. The joy was clear, so was the relief, on her expression, as she reached out and took hold of a wrist. She picked up her tea with her free hand, struggling a little with its weight, and sipped from it. “I'm so relieved you approve.” she said openly, and smiled sheepishly at the man.

Leaning forward, she kissed him on the cheek, and got up, “I have to get ready as well.”

Since she only had what she came in with, she redressed herself quite quickly, resolving to sort out the matter of clothes later when she came back. She looked at herself in her Starfleet uniform, still feeling awkward about a uniform and wearing shoes, she changed her mind about the pants and went over to the replicator to request a skirt instead. Skirts would be better, and allowed her to move more freely, in a sense.

Heather's feather-soft lips on his freshly shaven cheek brought an even wider smile to Trent's face.  Such a small gesture it was, yet so heavily laden with meaning and love.   And it was with something that approached regret that he watched her head off to gather her uniform and get dressed.  But, then again, they both had work what needed doing, and that meant he fairly inhaled his sandwich and first cup of coffee before he too had to get dressed.

Everything in his dresser was just simply perfectly folded and laid out, and before long he had underwear and socks on, before he drew on a crisp red shirt and a spotless uniform from the closet, and pulled on boots that were just as perfect, gleaming with an unmarred shine.  People might think him a hardass and a stickler to for details, but barring severe extenuating circumstances, he was always one to be perfectly groomed and attired; after all, how could he expect perfection from anyone, if he himself was not presenting himself at his very best at all times?

Now dressed, he returned to the table to pour himself another cup of coffee, one that would be coming with him to his office, and considered the lovely Radiant he'd hopelessly fallen in love with.  "I know I'll be looking forward to coming back here tonight," he said with a smile.

She kept it to herself, but the pain was really bothering Heather, and her body temperature was abnormal. She did so mainly because she didn't know what to make of it, so whatever Carrigan felt or thought, she focused on him and him alone, doing her best to ignore this worrisome effect. She would look into it later at her lab. After all, she was best equipped for finding out biological anomalies.

She let herself be distracted by his morning routines, watching him dress, just as she herself did, though she balked at putting on shoes. Idly she wondered if they would accept the excuse that it's culturally abhorrent for Radiant to wear shoes, or maybe just be honest and say that it hurt her feet and ankles to extremely uncomfortable levels? With the slightest movements, her hair would wildly fly about, dancing and floating, and her ever-shifting bioluminicent lights made hypnotic motions across her skin, masked by the uniform.

She straightened up when he spoke, and she smiled, “Me too,” said the young officer, and she stood on tip toes to give him one last kiss before they both left the quarters, heading to their respective stations.
